I reached the place where Isabella had brought me. I knew that Isabella's invisible hideout was here. I began chanting the spell which could make the place visible.
Last time when I was here, I had urged Isabella to teach me the spell. Fortunately she did.
When I was done, a familiar huge room now stood before me. The door opened and I entered the room.
It was a beautiful and spacious room. But I didn't have time to admire it's beauty.
"Isabella?" I called. "Will? Where are you guys?"
No response. The room was deadly silent. I walked all over, searched every corner, but couldn't find a single solitary being.
Then, I saw something... at the corner of a table. It was a medium sized photo inside a beautiful photo frame. The photo frame was magical because it was changing it's colour every second.
It was a photo of a beautiful small girl, probably seven years old. She was wearing an elegant white dress which made her look like a princess. She was cutting a cake when this photo was clicked. She face was gleaming in delight. That girl was.... Isabella.
Beside her, a young familiar lady was standing. Hecate. She was looking contently at the girl.
The photo was of Isabella's birthday! I took the phone in my hands and stared at the peaceful young face. Isabella had told me that Hecate has raised her since she was two years old. Hecate was like a mother to her.
Then my eyes caught something... important. At the left bottom lip of the photo, a date was written.
It was Isabella's date of birth. What? The date was of tomorrow!! Isabella's birthday is tomorrow!
I began to plan something in my mind. When I came to know that her birthday is tomorrow, I decided I would give her a big surprise.
But it won't be easy. Everyone around here cares so much for Isabella, it's possible that she may not even notice my gift. There was only one solution : do something grand.
But right now, I had to find Will and Isabella. I left the woods and headed back. On my way, I was working on the plan to surprise Isabella and make tomorrow memorable. I wanted to see the same happiness on her face as I had seen in the picture.
I reached the training area and Will and Isabella were there. Seeing them, made me take a sigh of relief. I walked towards them and clapped on their backs.
"So, where you both have been? I was worried sick for you!" I teasingly scolded them.
"Sorry mommy, actually Hecate wanted our help." Will comically said and Isabella began to laugh at his remark.
"Okay then, I gotta go. Got something important to do." I said and left.
I rushed to the girls' cabin to prepare for the first step of my plan. I couldn't waste my time. It was already afternoon and I had so little time left.
I stood outside the girls' cabin. I saw a familiar girl standing outside. She was the same girl I had seen in the spear-fight. Clara Martin.
I walked towards her and introduced myself. Thankfully, she wasn't rude, the way she looked when she was fighting.
"Umm... Clara? Is there a girl who can make a beautiful dress for a birthday party?" I asked as politely as I could.
But her expression was just emotionless. "A dress? For a girl?" she asked. Her voice devoid of any emotions.
I nodded and then she asked for some other details. Like the age of the girl, colour of the dress, I wanted any extra accessories or not and so on.
When her question and answer session was done, she started to move back into the cabin.
"Hey, wait. You didn't answer my question." I called out to her and she stopped midway.
"What question?" she asked without turning back.
"You didn't tell me who will make this dress." I said and she moved further and opened the door. Just before closing the door, she looked at me and said, "You just told her every detail. Come and get that dress after dinner." and she slammed the door shut.
I was left staring at the door. That girl was quite...different. But I didn't stood there, wondering about that girl. I had other matters to deal with.
