I was looking at the huge statue with awe. The Titan lord held a Scythe in his right hand and a sand clock in the other. His expression was intense and intimidating.
Isabella walked towards the statue, slowly.
"What happened?" Will asked, but all he got as an answer was silence.
She stared at the Titan and then looked down at the pedestal. She ran her fingers on the carvings.
Will and I reached near the statue as well.
"Go to the land where the present is not" Isabella whispered, her words almost inaudible. "Yes!" she said that a bit too loudly.
The three oversized idiots whom we were trying to avoid, found us. They ran towards us, but the crowd blocked their way, slowing them down and buying us some time to escape.
I held Isabella's wrist and dragged her away. She was quick to understand the situation, so I didn't have to drag her for long.
We were running just then we saw staircase in front of us.
"Stairs. Now!" I said and these two words were enough to convey everything. We ran towards the stairs and climbed up. The stairs opened into a huge empty room. It looked like it was the store room of the museum.
Old and useless materials sprawled across the entire hall.
We looked around, searching for a possible exit. We couldn't go back the way we came from.
Before we could do anything, I heard footsteps ascending and I looked back.
"Hey, these morons are here." I told my friends and they turned as well.
"So, what's the plan?" Will asked.
Isabella looked around. She chanted a spell and just few seconds after, she was holding a bronze sword. It wasn't cosmic steel.
"We don't know whether they are monsters or not. So, I'm using this weapon just in case... " she didn't need to complete her sentence.
Will took out a cube. 'How will he fight with that?' I thought and just that instant, the cube transformed into a spear.
"Woah!" I exclaimed and Will grinned at me.
"You're not the only one with a magical weapon here." he said, grinning mischievously.
"Will you two stop it!" Isabella was right. It's not the time for chats.
I willed my sword to appear and just like a good sword that it was, it complied with my command. And I was now holding a shiny and powerful weapon.
"It's a fight then. At least, now I'll get to know how hard I trained." I said. But I was still nervous inside. In my first fight against the drakon was controlled fully by luck.
The gangster-looking guys were standing at the bottom step of the stairs. They were glaring angrily at us. Their gaze was piercing, it left every hair on my back standing.
They mounted on the stairs with steps so heavy that it made the hall echo with the sound. Their arms were crossed on their chest and their expressions were alike, showing only one thing : bloodlust.
They stopped in front of us. We were armed with weapons, waiting for the worst case scenario.
"Give it to me." The middle one said with a husky voice. It was almost as if a stone had hit me hard.
"Give it now!" this time, all three of them said with unity and their voices changed. I mean, it become so... what do I say...not so human-like. It was like a ghost had entered their bodies.
"I already told you, WE DON'T KNOW! " I shouted at the deaf man. 'How many times will I have to tell him this? I heck didn't know where this Sword of Fire was because if I did, why would I be wandering around like a gypsy and begging anyone to tell me about it's location!!' I was actually kicking the chibi versions of the three idiots in my thoughts and would feel very contented in doing so in reality.
"Then get ready to die!" all three of them attached on us. Swords appeared in their hands so instantly that I couldn't even see it.
The one who was called 'Big bro' charged on me. The other two were confronted by Will and Isabella who tried their best to defend themselves.
I, on the other hand, was having a hard time even balancing myself against the heavy man.
'God! What in this world this bag of fat eats?' I thought. The man was so heavy that he could make an elephant get jealous of him.
The man charged with the sword and I ducked it. I slipped to his back and tried to attack from the back side but he was quick as light. He blocked my attach and I stumbled backwards.
"Adrian! A little lightening streak would be great" Isabella's voice came from somewhere behind me but I didn't have time to see her, the ox in front of me was getting anxious.
I tried to summon lightening or at least a gust of wind but it seemed like I was fresh out of all this godly stuff.
'What's happening?' I thought. I was able to do that so easily earlier so what was the matter now? I felt as if my body was playing a prank on me.
"It's not working!" I shouted. I made the mistake of trying to see my friends. I turned my head only to be smacked in the head.
These men could not be controlled by us. We were no match for their strength.
And gladly Will understood it too. His spear changed into a beautiful gold-polished bow. He held an arrow in his hand. He muttered something in ancient Greek and then released the arrow. It was difficult to see what happened next because the hippo I was dealing with was trying his best to kill me.
And the next thing I know is that the whole place was on fire.
