Isabella, Will and I were sitting quietly in the cafe, minding our own business. Everything was completely okay, but luck decided that I don't deserve that.
Isabella was about to tell us about a person or... someone else (when your life involves Greek stuff then you must give up on the thought that you'll encounter only humans) who could help us. Just then, three guys with a gangster look on their faces entered the cafeteria. They scanned the hall like an eagle searching for it's prey and suddenly their eyes glimmered evilly. It looked like they found their snack : me.
They started to walk towards our table, their eyes never leaving me. I was staring back at them.
Isabella tilted her head in confusion. "What are you... " she followed my gaze and the words got stuck in her throat.
The three gangsters took three chairs each and sat amongst us.
They all had muscles like unbreakable steel and their body was well developed, in a wrestler kind of way. They more or less looked alike. I thought they might be brothers.
All three of them were glaring at me as if deciding I would be tasty or not. I fought my urge to get up and run away somewhere safe.
"Where is it, kid?" the tallest of them asked. His voice was husky and dry.
What did he want? I didn't had a faintest idea about what he was talking about.
"Where is what?" I asked, trying not to sound scared but he was just coldly staring at me.
"Big Bro don't like excuses. You better tell him if you value your life." the other guy said. He was sitting next to the person he called 'Big Bro'.
"We don't know what you're talking about." Will said. He didn't sound afraid at all, but on the contrary, his voice was filled with warning.
"You don't know. I see. So, why are you here then? To have a cup of coffee, I believe." The first one said jokingly, but it didn't suit him. He looked more like a person who have escaped from a mental hospital.
"Let me put this straight then. Where is the Sword of Fire?" he asked and this time all the expressions of joking, disappeared.
"Oh, so you're here to know the location of the sword of Fire. Well... sorry to disappoint you but we're looking for it too. If we'll find it, we'll make sure to give you a call." I said and got up to leave. Will and Isabella got up too.
We could barely reach the exit door, that a bronze sword swooshed just a few inches from me and hit the door.
Seeing this, I abruptly stopped. Just by looking at the sword, I could tell that it's aim was not my head because if it had been, I would be dead by now.
The sword was not made of cosmic steel. That meant, it could hurt us and mortals as well. On the other hand, we didn't know who these intimidating guys were. If they turned out to be humans then we were armless against them for we had weapons made of cosmic steel only.
So our only hope was : to escape.
"Run!" I yelled at the top of my voice and fortunately, Isabella and Will were quick to understand.
We opened the door and ran out. I didn't turn to look back. We took a left and then turned right. Nobody knew where we were running.
Just after taking a right again, we found ourselves facing a huge white building where the path ended.
The foot steps behind us were coming closer.
"Let's go in." I said and we entered the building.
Turned out, the building was a museum. The most popular museum in the city : Acropolis museum.
The place was heavily crowded. Tourist, students and common people were all around us.
"What do we do now?" Will whispered.
He was right. If we started a fight here, definitely it would get ugly. There was many people here and if even one of them got hurt... no, nothing like would happen.
"We'll hide among the crowd." I said and we moved further.
"This is the statue of Zeus. He was the king..." I heard a tour guide explaining something about a statue. I didn't care about his nonsense, but one word took my attention 'Zeus'.
I stared at the tall statue. The man had a peaceful expression on his face as if he had finally found peace. He held his infamous thunderbolt in his left hand and his right hand was spread out. Whatever I do, but I couldn't look at a hundred years old statue without feeling awkward and thinking 'yep! he's my dad.
"Adrian, if you want to stare at your dad's majestic statue, then we can come later. But right now we have some important business to deal with." Will said as he pointed to the entrance gate of the museum.
The three gangsters were standing there, looking for someone. And of course that lucky 'someone' were us.
We moved among the crowd, trying to blend in. We passed a group of students whose teacher was giving them a lecture. Judging from their faces it looked like they were long asleep with their eyes open.
We entered a huge hall where all sort of Greek and Roman weapons were present.
"Looks like we entered the weapon section." Isabella looked around the room. Just after turning back, she froze.
Her eyes were glued somewhere. I followed her stare.
What met my eyes was a magnificent tall statue. The only statue in that room. The statue of Kronos, the Titan lord of Time.
