Chapter 4: Heaven’s Gate!

Thana looked around her room, every memory she had there came back running to her!

The moments she struggled, cried alone, and got over it.. alone!

Moments where Theo's always there to somehow make all her burdens go lighter even she was mean to him.

She sat down on her bed, closed her eyes and tilted up her head, she stared at the ceiling to stop her tears from falling. She leisurely enjoyed the capacity to breathe... to live even for a moment. "I... I'm ready."

She sniffed and calmed down. 'The more I stay, the more I feel drained anyway. I need to use all my magic now,' she thought.

She lifted and rested her feet up, and grabbed her blue thin blanket. She rested her head on the pillow, and closed her eyes. Thana did not move nor breathe for more than an hour.

She was gone! It's not her anymore...

**

A beautiful lady lightly kicked her right foot at the gigantic diamond door in front of her! She sauntered on the white sparkly diamond floor that over time became red as crimson!

The clanking sound of her shoes made the man on the throne raised his head and leaned it back. Although not turning his head and looking back at his guest, he already knew who it was, "You took your time, Arthymist." He moved the glass of liquor on his hand in circular motion and directly shoved the liquor in to his mouth!

"I didn't find the Queen Goddess but I found an interesting human fairy."

He gulped the liquor down his throat, then put both of his hands on top of the throne's armrest for support and stood up! He stepped, turned around, and gave her a dazzling welcome smile! He is tall, and a handsome young man wearing a black suit with a royal golden mantle. His hand were waved in the air, and a yellow dust magic turned his throne around facing Arthymist.

"I don't need someone interesting," he smiled, then chuckled in disbelief! "I N-E-E-D that Queen Goddess!" His hand clenched, the glass broke, shattered and scattered around the floor!

She smiled mischievously and crossed her arms in front of him. "She's not the one you're looking for Sorin, but I can feel recent traces of the queen's magic in her. Not intriguing enough?"

"My father told me that, she gave it all to those... mere humans!" He then looked at her with evil in his eyes! "What kind of magic was it?"

"Magic that felt like the heavens, I felt it running like an electricity in her bones. No one has that kind of magic energy!" 'No one but her!' Arthymist gritted her teeth to the fact that it is indeed impossible! No such god can contain the magic of the heavens alone! That little magic she felt in Thana is enough to save someone dying, more especially revive someone from death!

His eyes grew bigger and became more focused... more interested! He laughed like a crazy man with no reason of laughing at all, "She's one of the old man's patients in the human world. Young and weak! Looked ordinary but-"

"But if that queen saved her, that human might have something worth saving! Plus, that means she's not too far from that girl!" Arthymist smirked at him, 'He shouldn't have broken that glass, this guy have the temper!'

He crazily laughed again... he laughed so loud that the humans on earth gazed up due to the sudden rumble from the skies!

Thana's room became darker, and gloomy, her chest started to rise and fall. There's a sudden flick from her finger and her eyes opened like she took a nap. She slowly opened her eyes, seated and yawned. Her eyes landed at the book that her foot accidentally touched, her eyes moved around and thought about what had happened. 'Why did I go back to sleep?'

She upsettingly grabbed the book his brother threw on his bed. 'The History of Human & Magic.' "Magic?" She looked at her palms seriously concerned, 'It feels strange! I feel like I'm missing something... plus I can't remember what happened last night or why I'm on bed trying to recover from a magic burnout!'

She shrugged the thought of it and grabbed the book. She leaned on her pillow that she placed in front her headboard. She stared at it, and flipped the book open!

—— Every individual's magic ability had caused a lot of mystery for the past 500 years. It's because certain factors affect different theories, and scientists can't put the puzzle together. These factors are uniqueness, power, vitality, and dexterity of ten observed patients with the same elemental magic.

The uniqueness of everyone's magic ability is it is not determined by any traits or personality that beholds the person. The whole population was divided into groups according to their magic which is mainly elemental: the fire, air, earth and water groups; because of this fact, our ancestors decided that individuals that practices elemental magic will be called fairies based on children's tale. Later on, number of people possessing other magic ability increased in number that abolished the grouping system of the society. People possessing the same elemental magic doesn't guarantee the exact same characteristic of the ability even when compared to a relative. Each person's magic vitality and dexterity is also not affected by how physically fit a person is, which made it more interesting and hard to study.

Up until now, study and research is still being conducted but as further researchers go, it is becoming more and more complex to understand. ——

"Well, that's interesting! But this book is too thick to read. It's making me more burned-out!"

"You just started reading it?"

"Oh? You're home early!"

His right brow raised, "Thana, it's already evening!" She looked outside the window and the clouds gone darker. 'Did she just wake up?' His jaw dropped, but then shrugged his head, he grabbed the empty glass on her desk. "You drank it."

"Hmm?" Thana also saw the empty glass and wondered, 'When did I drink that?' Mrs. Blake, Theo, and Thana are at the dining table when, "Mom, I think I can already go to school tomorrow."

"What?! You hate school!"

"Are you sure your sister is okay?" Jade concernedly asked.

"Because bud, she's being a lil', uhm, extra," Zader added. Jade and Zader are Theo's friends, they clearly know each other since birth, and that also mean they knew Thana too. 'It's really weird seeing her right now.'

"Yeah, she's... happy," their faces are puzzled and their eyes are just glued into her, she's so fascinated by the things around her like a child. "She's smiling from ear to ear and I'm creeped out!"

"Ehem! Thana," Theo pulled Thana from the other students and stayed behind. "What are you doing?"

"Enjoying the field trip?" Duhhh!

"You don't enjoy field trips! You hate school! And you're acting so weird!" She pulled her arms back from his grasp!

"Stop! Now I didn't hear what he said! What's this for?" Three pair of eyes looked toward the huge four stone pillars that surrounded a circular platform.

Theo sighed and scratched his head, 'I wish I had a friend who has healing magic!' She raised her brows, her eyes grew bigger...

Her face demanded an answer while she crossed her arms. "That is the heavens's gate. Older people said that a lightning struck this very exact spot and poof, that thing popped up over night. They said there are gods coming down here through this. Now, let's go! And stop smiling!" Theo grabbed Thana's arms again and attempted to drag her to catch up with the guys but the ground suddenly quaked that caused them to just stay where they were!

A lightning strike in broad daylight!

"Get back!" Mr. Harrison shouted! The students gathered together not too far away from it. They should leave but it's the first time they actually witnessed that the stone platform worked! They can't just leave! They're scared but fascinatedly curious!

"Well, is that a god?" Thana stretched her arm pointing to the heaven's gate. The gems on each pillar lit up, and streaks of light shot out from the gems causing a creature to appear! It was a golden-furred lion! "Nope! Old people are so wrong!" Thana shouted and sprinted away from it!

"Stay calm, no one moves!" Mr. Harrison exclaimed when the lion started to pay attention to its surroundings. It looked at each of them! He heard his heartbeat and his breathing as he stepped closer to the creature. Just then, he quickly stretched his arms!

Out of the blue, iron bars rose from the ground and surrounded the lion that held it captive! Mr. Harrison gasped for air, "That should be high enough for it- huh?!"

Thana and the others dropped their jaw, and can't move a single muscle! "W-Wings, suddenly w-why does it have wings?" 'Where did it came from?' Thana ran quickly, positioned herself and blasted an ice magic targetting its wings! With its wings restricted, it fell to the ground, and made a loud thud and shattering noise! The ice that stopped it from flying broke!

"Thana!" Theo wanted to held her back, she just had two consecutive terrible incidents, and now this!

Mr. Harrison also wanted her student to stay away, but his strength is all used up! Such sudden encounter made old Mr. Harrison unexpectedly drained! The others started to run and hide, pulled out their phones and called for help!

Zader, a water fairy, dashed beside Thana and moved the waters nearby to help her, but it's too strong!

Thana fell onto her knees, she breathed heavily as she lifted her head!

The griffin moved its back! Forcing its wings to move, it broke free again from the ice that kept his wings from flapping! The winged lion flew in the air, and stopped in mid air! Its eyes met Thana, it reared up, and shot itself toward her! She closed her eyes, and gritted her teeth! She clenched her fist as she raised her left arm, and used it to cover herself from the griffin! She just sat there! With her heart racing, she waited!

Her ears was banged by a loud roar!

"I-It froze!"
