Chapter 3: Freya is the new Thana

Theo filled his lungs with air and loudly sighed! His fidgety hands are buried in his pockets as he walked on his way home. He frustratedly kicked every stone he saw lying on the ground while thinking about what happened yesterday. He sighed once again, 'I really don't get her! Moreover, I hope Draco's still alive, and not preserved in an ice cube!' He reached his hand and scratched his forehead. He lifted his head, and he can see his house from afar.

Another heavy breathing from him was released! The feeling of anxiousness he caged inside him slowly escaped, that led him to think of more horrifying scenarios about the two. "Because for sure Thana's okay! She's always been okay!"

Theo furrowed his brows, 'Whom am I talking to?!' He shrugged in complete disbelief! He quickly looked around for witnesses of his sudden outburst! 'I think I'm starting to go crazy! Luckily no one's around me! Dangg, this is so embarrassing!' *Phew!*

Theo stood at their front porch, heart loudly thumping, he stared at the door, and pressed his lips together, "Okay! Moment of truth!"

As soon as he touched the knob, his head turned around due to the sudden sound that came from somewhere not too far from him. It's like the sound of hooves galloping! It's like a horse running from around the area, "Where would a horse come from? We live near the city, and I haven't seen a single stable somewhere here!" 'Dang it! Whom am I talking to? Again!'

Theo kept his eyes open while he scanned around him! The sound became louder, he shook both of his hands, and prepared his fire magic to blast someone or something in case it's trouble! His jaw dropped when he saw a transparent bluish-coloured creature coming to his direction! It was a live water, shaped like a horse carrying- CARRYING HIS SISTER!

He rushed to Thana that is on the horse's back! The horse bent itself, slowly losing it's form and made its way under the ground. Theo's weirded out for a second because it's a freaking water creature for crying out loud! But that thing's not important right now! He lightly tapped her cheek as he panics, "Thana! Thana! Are you okay?! Oh shit! Where have you gone to?!"

Panicked, Theo facepalmed himself countless of times as he walked back and forth across their living room. "Shit! Shit! Shit! Did I somehow dreamt about something like this last night? Hah! No! No! No! No! No! This is a deja vu! Definitely a deja vu!"

The adrenaline rush made Theo's hand completely shaking, he took his phone out of his pocket and nervously called Mrs. Blake, "Mom! Thana passed out, again! Outside! Like right now, I'm completely concerned about her mental health because this girl IS CRAZY! There's no other explanation that this is happening twice!" Mrs. Blake calmed Theo down and told him that help is on its way.

Theo sat down in front of Thana and stared at her intently, and nervously! The helped arrived and currently, he can't do anything but to watch. Theo observed that the lady treating Thana is different than last time. Moreover, she's more nice and quiet. "Where's the other lady?" Theo himself is surprised by his sudden question. He looked away awkwardly avoiding the lady's eye contact.

The lady glanced at her confused. "Other lady?"

"The tall girl that carries a black bag. Blonde hair... oh right! I remember, Aera. Aera's her name!"

"Uhh-rahh," two pairs of eyes landed on Thana uttering words while she's unconscious.

"Well, that's a good sign," the lady optimistically stated! "About Ms. Aera, she's a little busy finding someone. That person pretty seem important. Now about your sister," she faced him with a bright smile. "I presume you know what this is." She showed Theo a bottle which contained an energy boosting tonic.

He nodded his head and reached his hands to grab it.

Theo carefully lift Thana from the couch and moved her up to her bedroom. Thankfully the lady helped her get changed or else she's still soaked up wet. Theo examined her room and his eyes landed on the untouched medicine he left this morning, he sighed, "I am sighing a lot these days because of you lil' sis." After a last look, he turned around and left the room with the glass of medicine on his hand. "But no matter what, I'll always be by your side. Always!"

"It feels like I forgot something. Oh right! Draco!" Theo quickly flashed himself to the stairs into the living room scanning every inch for Draco. The little guy was soundly asleep in the fireplace with his long dark red tail around him. He was relieved and took a step closer to him. On bended knee, he showed his sweetest smile. His fingertip sweetly touched Draco's head that caused him to open his eyes.

Draco moved, and nuzzled Theo's hand. He opened his wings and tried to fly up onto his shoulder, but failed. He fell, he sat down on the floor shaking his head. "Are you alright bud?" Theo delicately took him off the floor with both of his hands. With worried eyes, he asked, "Did you try to protect Thana, and did this to you?"

Draco nodded his head as he licked his right wing after he scratched his head with it.

Theo's eyes became furious and looked up towards the stairs, his hands are eager to grab and break something, "I take it back! I'll never do anything, and I won't be there for you!"

"Do anything and won't be what?" Mrs. Blake whom just opened the front door gave Theo a confused look.

"Nothing!" Mrs. Blake didn't know how to react, she just blinked multiple times. 'Maybe it's just probably puberty.' She shrugged, closed the door, and went directly to her one and only daughter.

Still upset, Theo can't hide his fiery eyes! He poured the blue boosting tonic in a bowl, placed it on the table and offered Draco to drink it. "She didn't even bother to take this anyway! You can have it all!" He caressed Draco's head gently, "I'm sorry for leaving you here, buddy. It's just that... because it's her."

In Thana's room, Mrs. Blake concernedly looked at her... Thana's face is deeply relaxed as if she's so tired all along after so much trouble. She looked innocent... and nice, Mrs. Blake's thoughts made her chuckle and genuinely smile; but also she can't help to sigh and to worry. "I'm not like them when I was at their age. It's definitely their father! Definitely his genes!"

The morning sun gradually shone giving light to another day. Theo marched displeasedly to Thana's room. He was not in the mood to make a conversation with her, especially she hurt Draco!

He carelessly opened her door that made a loud bang when it hit the wall!

"Don't try to destroy something you two!" Mrs. Blake seemed pretty concern because of what happened in the past few days.

Theo placed Thana's medicine on her study table while she sleepily opened her eyes, she lifted her upper body, and sat down with the support of his weak left arm. She took a look at Theo with no emotion. "What have you been up to? Yesterday- never mind!"

She tilted her head with furrowed brows, "What?"

"You passed out again last night, are you planning to sleep outside every night? Because if you're planning to go camping it's fine but do it with a tent!" Thana's still confused, and can't utter a word. She is totally giving the question mark off her face. "You know what forget it! Here!" She threw a brown book to his bed. "Mr. Harrison told me that it's okay for you not to go to school for a week but study for the exams! Also, drink your meds this time!" He has no intention of staying longer so he turned around quickly!

"Are you leaving already? Are you not going to hug me goodbye?" He looked at her with one brow raised. 'She's smiling and it's really making me uncomfortable!' Draco on his shoulder also hissed at her like a snake!

He smirked in disbelief and turned around one last time. Before he left the door, he also left the words, "Hey, Thana Blake! Do you hate me that much?!"

Thana's taken aback thinking, 'What did I do?'

After Theo left, Thana sighed and weakly smiled, she can't resist to bow her head and feel the pain, physically and emotionally. She remembered what happened yesterday, every single detail! She looked at the palm of her hands, and can't stop the tears eager to get out from her eyes, "You said I will die, huh?" She said talking to herself. She knows and she feels it, that the lady from the lake is in her somewhere! She touched her face, wiped the tears that rolled down on her cheeks. She leaned on her headboard and kept her eyes closed. She tried to breathe silently as she tried to hold back the rest of her tears but failed... she shivered! She gulped, pressed both her lips trying to keep herself together.

After a couple of minutes, she opened her eyes, her breathing is the only sound in the room she can hear. With her weak body, she tried to move, placed both of her feet at the floor, and stood up. She walked to the full-length mirror attached on the wall and looked at herself.

'I may no longer exist but my body will because of you.'

She deeply looked into her reflection... into her own icy eyes. "I don't know what you are or what you'll do but just in case, leaving my memory and freezing yours would be the safest move!"
