Twenty-One

I'm sitting in the car alone and high key panicking. What if they don't like me? What if they were expecting Nina, but then I walk through the door? Wait, Am I the downgrade? What if they hate Asians, especially Koreans?

Remy taps on the window on the passenger side. He takes a step back as I open the door. Making all the final changes before I walk through that door.

" Remy are you sure they are going to like me?"

"Lana like I said they'll love you, what's not to love about you?"

"A lot!"

"Lana don't put yourself down like that, you ARE an amazing person." He holds me, putting his forehead on top of mine and just stares at me

I hug him properly, feeling his warmth. His cologne's just perfect, kinda husky, but overall smells like a forest.

"Lana we should go, they're waiting"

" you're right we shouldn't keep them waiting"

Remy takes my hand in his and opens the door.

"This is her guys" he wears his smile big

"Hi Maxilana, I'm Michelle and this is my husband Roy."

"Hi it's nice to finally meet you, I've heard so many great things about you both"

" I'm actually so proud my son chose you to be his girlfriend, I always see you at the library studying, oh and at Remy's games when color guard performs" his father pipes in

"Thank you it really means a lot to hear people actually watch us at the games."

" yes of course, between you and me I prefer color guard over cheer, I love the fact it's a year-round thing not like just cheer season."

"Oh, do you watch the winter guard performances too?"

"Yes, my wife and I love the storylines that come along with the performances"

We chatted all night long getting to know each other, after dinner Remy's mother and I went upstairs to talk about hair and makeup.

I told her seeing as I'm going as a junior and not a senior I don't plan on being dramatically dressed.

She disagreed with me. She told me I have a beautiful body, and I should flaunt my goods.

I don't really understand but I agree anyway. Michelle pulls up her idea board and I slowly fall in love with all of her ideas. The hair and makeup aren't too flashy, but it perfectly fits my style.

I was mainly worried about what to do with my short hair, but after seeing the pictures I couldn't think of a better hairstyle.

Three knocks and Remy walks in. He comes over to sit behind me, having his arm sling over my shoulder, getting an idea of what he should expect.

Maybe I'll outshine Nina at prom! Wait no that's not right, I shouldn't say that just because I don't like her. She has her own goals and I should respect that.

As 10 'o'clock rolls by I say bye to all of Remy's family members, I hug his mother good-bye.

I think that went well. Once we were finally out of the house I hug Remy.

"How did I do? Do you think they liked me? Do you think they'll want me to stay as your girlfriend?

"Lana you did great"

" Really?! Oh gosh, I really love your mom!"

"I'm pretty sure she loves you too" he scratches the back of his neck awkwardly

"Um...yeah I guess so."

"Lana let's go somewhere before I get you home."

"Where?"

"You'll see..."

I reluctantly get into his car. As we drive off about 30 minutes into the drive we are surrounded by forest. The moon peeking out behind the trees while also glistening in the streams. Nature is beautiful in every way possible.

I look at Remy as his face shines and brightly contrasts with the dark car. He looks as if he was an angel. Man, sometimes I forget to admire his freckles. They are like stars on his face. If I have the time I should count them. Okay, maybe not that, that's a little weird.

"Remy we're like in the middle of nowhere, where are we going?"

"Lana I want to show you my special place, for special people."

"I think that was meant to be sweet but it actually made me jealous."

He laughs, " why are you jealous?"

" The fact that other girls have been there kinda pisses me off, is it like a fuck rock or something along those lines."

"That's kinda gross, why would I want to do that on a rock that is probably covered in waste."

" I don't know. I see it in movies all the time, people consider that romantic."

"Having your ass and tits out in the woods, while animals surround the area and killers could be hiding, people find that romantic?"

"I mean what do I know, I'm still a virgin, I don't know how horny people are, nor how far they'll go to have sex."

"You're a virgin Lana?"

"Yes, what's your point?"

"Nevermind, if I wanted to take your innocence I would take it in my room, it the comfort of my home, I defiantly don't want my ass to be licked while fucking you."

"Remy that's vulgar..."

"You brought up the subject!"

"Okay, but you're the one that brought up fucking me."

"Okay, what's your point" he mimics me

"Are we almost there yet?"

"I think it's best we don't go anymore, it pretty late, and talking about animals licking my ass kinda killed my mood to show you."

"What?!" Shocked by what I just heard

"Lana I promise to bring you some other time okay?You should get some sleep."

"Huh why? I want to stay up and look at you a little longer."

"How did I end up with such a cute girlfriend, you're too cute for your own good."

"Remy stop" I blush

He grabs my chin to look at him, "That look right there, don't ever let anyone but me see that precious look in you eyes."

I grab his hand off my face and placed it in mine, interlocking our fingers.

"Remy..."

"Yeah Lana?"

"Nothing I'm just in love with your name, Remy Liv..."

It was like that the whole ride back to my house, Remy seemed tired, so I got permission from my mom to let Remy stay the the night, she agreed he should drive while tired. That would be a danger to himself and other drivers. She got an extra blanket from the closet for him and he thanked her. I held his hand and lead him to my room. After getting the bed situated, I gave him a brand new tooth brush. We brush our teeth together and we change into a comfortable state. I wear an over size shirt while he wears my men's pj bottoms, that actually fit him.

We play on our phones a bit til I set my down to charge and he follows. I lay next to him laying my head on his shoulder and we fall asleep peacefully, for the first and last time together like that...
