A Jumbo

Flew!

Lin Chao grabbed hold of its root-like the wind and hauled it up from the soil. Once the tendrils on its root left the earth, like a fish that left water, the emerald radiance dimmed and it shriveled rapidly to a listless state.

Eee –

The little shrub monster screamed in a high pitch, its leaves shaking, and slammed its soft tendrils on Lin Chao's arm, barely itching him.

Lin Chao remained oblivious to its desperate struggle, violently squashing its leaves and root into a ball. Its leaves were exceptionally smooth like the human skin, the veins of the leaves undamaged despite being folded and mashed carelessly. It was hastily compressed into a little green ball the size of a fist.

Using its own tendrils, Lin Chao tied the shrub up and stuffed it into the back pocket of his pants.

The energy of life within a floral monster could not be obtained by dissecting the plant-like how one would acquire the genetic zest and evolution nucleus of the monsters and zombies. It required refinery tools.

Lin Chao could only absorb the nutrient after refining the shrub when he went back and got his hands on the tools.

To prevent the flora from dying, Lin Chao stuffed some soil into his pocket as well, barely sufficient for it to maintain its life.

Then, he clapped in satisfaction and swiftly took off.

Gradually mastering the stealth's creed, Lin Chao's hunting speed rocketed, killing eight mutated zebras, a rabbit, and a swan goose in just an afternoon.

The rabbit had been a challenge. The rabbit's fur could erect up on guard after mutation, protecting itself like a porcupine, and possessed incredible speed. Additionally its amazing jumping ability and sense of smell, Lin Chao was already discovered when he was three meters away without being able to make an advance.

Although he had sealed his sweat secretion, he could not control the pores around his eyes and ears, thus still exuding a slight human scent.

It was such a minimal scent that the rabbit had caught a whiff of but it did not flee like the other animals, choosing instead to attack Lin Chao's on the spot with its fur standing straight.

If Lin Chao were to collide with the rabbit, its tremendous momentum could have caused its fur to puncture his heart as they stabbed him.

Fortunately, Lin Chao reacted swiftly by rolling away from the bunny's sprint and dealt a blow on its head simultaneously.

The mutated bunny's head was unusually hard, causing a counterattack to feel like bashing a piece of metal and producing an equally powerful recoil that Lin Chao had skillfully repelled.

The immense pain did not scare the rabbit off. Instead, its bestial nature was triggered as it rammed around aggressively.

Hidden due to the light, Lin Chao's scent permeated the air when he moved around, confusing the mutated bunny of his exact location. After a few reckless shuttles, it was killed in two bashes.

In comparison to the mutated rabbit, the swan goose was hunted down smoothly. It had been resting on a tree when Lin Chao effortlessly killed it with a flying knife from a distance of twenty meters.

Lin Chao's physique was heightened again upon acquiring ten white genetic zests, coming to about eight times more enhanced than mankind and some distance away from evolving once more.

The night came soon.

The atmosphere of the zoo slowly turned gloomy without the light and moon. Darkness engulfed the heaven and earth, even the starlight was concealed by the murky dust in the air. Occasional bouts of roaring could be heard from the monsters faraway, some furious and some in pain; it was now the time for nocturnal monsters to come out and hunt.

Lin Chao had yet to evolve into possessing the night vision, so he could only pick a tree and hide there. Blending himself into the nightfall, he slowed down his breathing to the point that he was almost unnoticeable.

The familiar life in the wild seemed to come back to him again.

Hugging his steel bar, Lin Chao went into a light sleep caressed by the breeze, waking up instinctively when there was movement or noise.

When the bright crack of dawn shone again, it symbolized the arrival of another day.

It was happiness to be able to see the world again when one opened their eyes.

Lin Chao ripped and chewed a few non-poisonous leaves, rubbing his teeth with them; this was how one brushed their teeth in the apocalypse.

Warming up his body, Lin Chao checked on the little shrub monster. It was still alive but its condition was weak, the small amount of soil pocketed yesterday was also dissolved and eaten by the plant.

Lin Chao could only stuff a little more soil into his pocket. The little shrub monster immediately moved its frail tendrils to wrap them over the dirt and slowly disintegrate it to absorb the nutrient inside.

Holding his steel bar and dashing into the daylight, Lin Chao entered the forest blanketed by the morning mist. Out of the blue, a black shadow zoomed past his sight just after a few steps.

A gorilla!

The black shadow was swift but Lin Chao's motion capture vision caught its form clearly. It was a mutated black gorilla with crimson eyes and intimidating sharp teeth that had a furry animal limb hanging in its mouth.

It was apparent that it did not notice Lin Chao who was hidden in the light.

Noticing a cluster of light green fur on the gorilla's forehead, Lin Chao's eyes glowed as he chased after the beast. If he was correct, it was a Green class mutated gorilla.

The gorilla was fast, running out of the forest in an instant. It chomped on the animal limb while it sprinted, tossing it carelessly after gobbling it clean, and continued forward at its full speed. A few hops later, it landed on a metal fence.

It was another area inside the metal fence, accommodating a large-sized pool in the center. Reptilian monsters were sprawled densely on the field beside the pool, all of them mutated crocodiles!

When Lin Chao caught up with the beast, it had hopped across the crocodile fence.

One of the crocodiles under the fence sniffed the gorilla's scent and scurried toward it with opened jaws.

The gorilla was not alarmed and, instead, nimbly jumped onto the croc's back. Stepping on the crocodile, two of the gorilla's sharp fingers grabbed the upper jaw of the mutated reptile and forcefully pulled its head upward.

The reptile roared in pain as its lengthened mutated tail with spikes on the end swung back.

The gorilla's reflex was prompt. Not only had it evaded the tail, but it also seized the tail and pranced off the crocodile to swing it up with a low growl, the distinct muscular lines on his chest visible, tossing the reptile out of the metal fence.

Lin Chao watched dumbfounded. He finally knew why the gorilla could achieve a green genetic zest now; it was from feeding on these mutated crocodiles.

After the crocodile was thrown out of the metal fence, a sonorous roar came from the middle of the pool. It was deafening and thunderous, hurting the eardrums of Lin Chao who was standing outside the fence.

An oval waterfall reaching a height of seven to eight meters was seen breaking out from the muddy pool as a gargantuan mouth appeared. Water poured down from the gap of the monster's teeth, revealing its stupendously large body.

Lin Chao's eyes gazed unblinkingly.

It was an abnormally humongous crocodile!

Its appearance was similar to the mutated crocs but its size was as towering as a super truck. Its mouth alone could swallow four or five mutated kinds of its own. It was a herculean presence in the pool.

Seeing the jumbo mutated crocodile, the gorilla shuddered in fright, springing to the outside of the fence in a blink of eyes and could not even care to pick up the prey that it tossed out as it scampered away, disappearing in the forest.

The jumbo crocodile bellowed into the sky furiously and suddenly locked its olive-green eyes at where Lin Chao was hiding.

'Oh shit!'

Lin Chao was horrified. The croc must have evolved two or three and possibly possessed thermal vision; no matter how skilled he was in terms of stealth, there was nowhere to hide under the thermal vision. – He would be seen even if he was hidden underground.

Roar!

It was as if the jumbo crocodile found an outlet for its rage. Flapping its enormous limbs, it climbed out of the pool, the ripples a tidal wave that washed some of the floating crocs onto the lawn.

Boom! Boom!

The jumbo croc's movement quaked the earth as it charged toward Lin Chao at a terrifying speed, crossing nearly a dozen meters in several steps.

The tall metal fence was like a feeble spider web in front of it!
