Chapter 2

"Your Highness," one of the men solemnly spoke, "There is no information on the girl." The guard stayed kneeled waiting on the Emperor's orders.

The Emperor stood tall looking at the sorry man, "You mean to say there is nothing about her, that you, an elite team of shadow guards cannot find?"

"Now Zhang Wei Jian, you must not scold your shadow guards because of a girl. Let mother's scholars look into her for you," softly spoke the Empress Dowager. She sat with her white cat laying peacefully beside her, the white cat lifted its head and nodded to Zheng Wei Jian.

"Your mother is correct, those lousy smart people can find out anything about anything. Besides a girl is nothing to worry your head about," spoke the cat in a lazy manner.

Zheng Wei Jian stormed out of the throne room not wanting to tell his mother his discovery. In the hands of that girl lays that traitor's jade, he wanted to find out their connection. "Big two, find out their connection," he ordered his second in command in the shadow guards.

"Yes your Highness," he spoke in a soothing voice.

Li Xiu Ying rode on Li Jie while following the guards to their destination. Li Na followed closely beside watching the guards actions for anything misleading. "Princess, do you think this is wise? That is following these men into an unknown destination," aske Li Na through their spiritual connection. "What if that traitor is with them and they are bringing us to him?"

"I am waiting for an opportunity, for you to fly and warn the tribe to move to the new village quickly. Besides they would not dare to do anything to us because we can kill them with a flick of a wrist," she replied calmly with a smirk. "Captain," she called out, "I have to go to the bathroom, do you mind stopping for a moment?"

The captain turned around to look at the girl who really looks like she has to use the bathroom. "Five minutes then it is back on the road," he replied. The men stopped and told the girl where she can go to the bathroom so that thy do not disgrace the girl but still be able to tell where she is.

"That is a weird trick Princess, but even still a long awaited break," sighed Li Jie, "You are getting heavy, it felt like you were going to break my back."

Li Xiu Ying glared at Li Jie, "Well if you weren't so weak you wouldn't be complaining." She then hopped off and walked in the direction that they were pointing at with Li Na. Li Na stuck out her tongue at Li Jie laughing.The guards who watched their interaction were astonished how can a captive still be able to joke in a serious situation.

After walking to the spot that they chose, Li Na stuck her nail out waiting for Li Xiu Ying to prick herself. "Remember the plan Li Na, once I shrink you, go to the village and warn them. Afterwards collect my sword and bring it to me, you can follow our connection to bring you back to me," Li Xiu Ying spojke in a voice that can raise anyone to battle. Then she pricked her finger on Li Na's nail, "Shrink to the size of a dove until you get three miles away from the guards." Gently she wiped the blood in an arch over Ji Na's and her brow, the blood disappeared into their skin.

Li Na started to shrink, "Princess, I will be back with your sword. Until then, be safe."

"I will."

"Your Highness there is no information on his whereabouts and if there's any connection between them," Big Two spoke, "But your Highness, the rest have came back with the girl, she is now waiting in the prison for your orders."

Zheng Wei Jian's eyes lit up, "Bring the girl to the throne room." He stood up and ordered his maids to leave the room so that he may get changed. He walked around his room looking for his mask to finish his look. "Father, I believe that I have found a lead to your death."

In the throne room Li Xiu Ying sat calmly waiting for the Emperor listening to Li Jie's horrible singing, "Li Jie, stop singing, I need you to assess his power. I cannot, it seems too strong Find out so that I may prepare." LI Jie hid within her jacket and forced his mind to concentrate on the they encountered.

"Princess, I was able to accurately judge his power, he is on the verge of breaking through the Heavenly Boundary. Compared to you that is nothing with you being in late stage Heavenly Boundary, but what make him more powerful than you, now that is strange. It seems that his blood is mixed with a divine dragon's blood. As you know with us being spiritual beings our Heavenly Boundary is much stronger than yours," he explained calmly.

"I see," she thoughtfully listened.

With a bang Zheng Wei Jian entered the throne room, he carefully examined the dirty girl sitting on the floor. "Stand up and bow to your emperor," he said in his deep melodious voice. He watched as the girl stood up but made no move to bow to him "Why do you not bow? Do you want to die?"

She turned around and stared straight into his eyes with her deep purple eyes and resolutely said, "You are not my king, My king died three-hundred years ago by a traitor," Then she sat down, "You might as well take off your mask, as I have already seen your face in the woods."

He was stunned to the point that no words could come out. "Your Majesty, may we get down to business? Where did you find that jade? Do you know who had it," she shot question after question while he was still dazed. He gathered himself and took off his mask revealing his beautiful face, beautiful enough to put the stars to shame. Zheng Wei Jian walked past her and sat down on his throne, he sat there quietly waiting for her to go quiet.

"First answer me this," he finally spoke, "where is the jade and how do you know the person associated with it?" He watched as she went quiet, she sat there in silence for what seemed to be an hour.

"That piece of jade is on me, and belongs to my royal family. There was a traitor three-hundred years ago and killed my father. The traitor was eyeing the throne…" she silently recounted the events that happened.

"Princess! You must not go on! He might be working with the trator," yelled Li Jie within her mind.

"Can you not see, Li Jie, he has also been betrayed by the same man," she asked.

Zheng Wei Jian listened with interest. "Three-hundred years ago," he thought, " this girl's father would not have been alive, unless she is like the man that betrayed me…"

"There is more to the story but I would like to rest your Majesty,"she said in a whisper. "It has been a long journey."

He waved his hand and then turned to the Captain, "take this girl, to the Lilly Courtyard and watch over her." Turning back to the girl he asked, "May I know your name girl? This Emperor's name is Zheng Wei Jian."

"Li Xiu Ying," she replied before walking away with the Captain.
