Chapter 2

Like an old wooden door in a haunted house, the tree opened itself laying bare it's hollowed inside except, it wasn't completely hollow. Inside the tree was a white ball, floating softly in the air, my eyes stare deeply as I unconsciously walked forward into the tree, not taking my eyes off for even a second.

As I reached the orb I grasped at it, the incredible speed astonished me as it seeped into my left arm, it crawled deeper, spreading throughout my whole body. I fell to the ground as my mind went white, " knowledge " I whispered " soo much knowledge ", as the power of magic went through my head, the power had no form, no words, yet deep meaning. As it seemed like it was finally over I was immediately attacked by not only another source of knowledge but a numbing sense as well, as cultivation techniques rushed into my head. The power they contained was by no means trivial, what felt like thousands of years of practice was slowly being absorbed into me, I felt powerful, it felt as if I could destroy the universe. with such dangerous thoughts, I hurried to open my eyes shaking such thoughts from my head.

Cultivation made any person who practices it raise their own power, unlike magic which takes the surrounding energies in an area. yet early on magic was more powerful, as it could deal more damage than taking the time to cultivate, but later on, cultivation is the way to go, as it not only uses the surrounding energies but the power you have practiced and built up in time.

This was the most important thing that was repeated in my mind, I stood up, stretching I decided to test my strength to get a feel of my current cultivation.

Excited I tensed my hand into a fist, looking down at the small white hand, it felt powerful, so powerful in fact that I decided to hold back at least half of my physical strength. I looked forward squinting slightly to see past the multiple trees to see for any civilization in the distance, knowing that only thousands of miles behind me lay a city. Seeing nothing I squinted further only finally another city with villages surrounding the city tens of thousands of miles away. Deciding that it is far enough away I threw my right arms following a loud bang.

Trees began to disintegrate, air disappeared, wildlife exploded leaving not even a drop of blood, water turning to mist, ground turning to dust. space cracked as it continued for miles, one hundred, five hundred, one thousand, three thousand. finally, as I started to sweat it stopped right before the first village, heaving out a sigh of relief I fell down on my butt, thinking that I almost wiped out a civilization. after all, I don't plan on innocents let alone an entire kingdom.

Not wanting to stay any longer I turned around looking into the opposite direction, thinking about the other kingdom, pretending I did or saw nothing. deciding it was time to meet other people I pushed on in that direction eagerly yet calmly walking forward.
