Chapter 39

Horus's POV

According to the plan my queen acted quite impressive today. She totally blew off the Pharaoh every time he tried to draw her attention or talk to her. I had to bite my lips to hold in my laugh. He looked so ridiculous standing by his new whore. Both of them are kids. I wonder how they'll do it in their wedding night. I wish I could sneak and see. It will be hilarious!!!

Oh no!! That leecher he's trying to get near my queen again. I squeeze between them to stop him.

"Ahem....your majesty, it's time for us to leave. The Pharaoh will be going to his wedding chamber now with his concubine." I try to mock him without being disrespectful.

"Oh Horus! Perfect timing! I was thinking the same. Let us leave." She holds my hand. I see the Pharaoh's face turning dark. Pfffttt!!!

All the other guards surround us and we start leaving. Everyone's head turn to our direction.

As for my queen, she acts fabulous to look elegant and glamorous. We burst in laugh as soon as we shut our carriage door.

"That was hilarious your majesty!!"

"Wahahaha!!! You guys did a great job too. Let's go back quickly. We're having a secret feast at our palace tonight."

"Yes your highness!!" Guards say in chorus smiling ear to ear.

After a while.....

"Stop the carriage!!"

"What's wrong your majesty?"

"I think I heard a cat crying. Find it!"

After searching for a while, the guards finally found that little guy. It's a kitten. Covered in mud, almost dead. She takes the kitten in her lap.

"Your majesty you shouldn't. It's dirty. Your expensive clothes will be ruined."

"I can't leave this poor child to die here. Horus, light up a torch. We need to keep him warm."

There she goes again!

Umena's POV

I'm sweating and trembling. I don't know how the Pharaoh will treat me tonight. He looks grumpy. I think he didn't like me. Why'd he anyways? He has such a gorgeous queen. Although I don't think the queen likes him. I noticed she was ignoring him earlier. Maybe she's just upset because he married me. I should try my best to attract him. Otherwise I won't be able to give birth to a son.

"Great Pharaoh, it's our wedding night."

"I know."

"Why are you standing there?"

"Because I want to."

"Umm... would you like to come inside? I mean...we..."

"Listen, I'm not going to do anything. You don't need to be scared. You can eat or go to sleep. You can go anywhere, do whatever you want. Just don't bother me. I'll come back in the morning."

"Ye....yes...I understand."

Phew!!! He said he won't touch me. I was scared for nothing.
