The burden of hope

Ryuk using 1,000,000 hells his sword heart and battle sense easily fought off the hell servants, but the 1,000,000 hells didn't work on the Draugr or other beings thus Ryuk was swarmed and got injured heavily.

Ryuk said "Almost. Come closer, closer, closer... Now! Blue end!"

A blue plume of light erupted from Ryuks body and covered the large wave of mobs. A thick fire energy permeated devouring them and they quickly died, but soon another wave applied force on Ryuk.

"Now that Im a level 2 devil I have unlocked more abilities of my race. Orginally I could only utilize the Qilin blood in me most probably because of it's more hospitable nature. The rest of me is constantly on conflict both restricting and supplementing each other. Still these abilities have their downfalls they are weak or atleast with how they are now they aren't that useful."

Ryuk called out "Sea shift."

Ryuk suddenly became a blob of water and escape the enclosure of bodies.

Now far away Ryuk then said "Forest King protection."

A beautiful green coat covered his torn flesh and soon enough they healed, furthermore Ryuks defence had increased sufficiently with his life force permanently becoming more and agitated and alive.

Yet these effects although world breaking were limited.

Ryuk pushed off and flipped in the air pointing his hand outwards "Five yin finger!"

A illusion of a liver, heart, spleen, lungs and kidneys behind Ryuk. They fell heavily like mountains squashing numerous beings.

These special abilities of his race and bloodline skills yes are powerful and innate, but in reality people must actually integrate this technique and normally it takes a long time. Ryuk being tempered by battle and continuously his mind is active he naturally was able to decipher the techniques.

Ryuk heard a shrill cry and winged monsters flew in. Similar to the hell servants these people could use extreme and powerful martial arts unlike the rest who just kicked or punched.

Ryuk held a hand outwards and drove his Cultivation there. The various powers in his body appeared and wrapped each others becoming a large ball of light. This ball was then condensed again and again until it was chip sized then the color drastically changed from a neutral white to a wonderful crimson. He then said "Chaos Beam!"

A long red beam shot out and cut those flying forces into two.

Chaos Beam isn't really a unique attack. It's a general technique handed out by most forces as a way to beat someone more powerful. You simply drive all your power outwards then compress it and shoot it. Ryuks was obviously more impressive due to his various attributes.

Chaos Beam of course has its short comings being not only being extremely tiring on the spirit and dantian, but also the time and damage it can do. It is undoubtedly powerful, but it isn't against the sky.

Ryuk slumped downwards and even with his intense gathering of qi it would take him some time to repair.

Ryuk flew up with his wings then wrapped himself in them and fell heavily downwards.

As he hit the ground a large circle dug into the hard earth causing cracks to stretch and consume many beings.

Ryuk himself had injected himself into a rock then closing it and falling with the rest.

Ryuk after some time kicked the rock and when he came out dark circles could be seen under his eyes similar to that of a panda.

"Ah! This battle is really exhausting! Is there a way to level up my spirit guide? The consumption of fighting Hell servants and the higher is really great superimposed with the slow absorption of blood I will really die. Furthermore the energy I get isn't equal to the amount I spend... I'm always making a loss."

Ryuk spat some coagulated blood and then went forward.

He didn't know when this dream would end so he spread out his Spiritual sense and found many mobs wandering and killed them all off.

After a few days finally a golden glow fell on Ryuk.

Suddenly a rush of energy filled his soul enhancing it by leaps and bounds.

Very quickly a tribute was triggered.

Ryuk pondered was more adapted to this and was able to handle it more easily and even choose the next tribute.

"Since it's fire the next should be earth. Then metal, water and finally wood."

Ryuk started to build his tribute constantly supplementing earth energy to the building of the tower. A similar process to before occured with strange blue energy wrapping the newly constructed tower alternating it's design. Ryuk was still in awe as this pillar looked as if it was dragging the mysterious thing above down instead of calling it down. Rude, violent and proud - Ryuk felt a strange familiarity with the pillar.

Ryuk himself had already gone into Infinite thoughts and researched the earth law.

"Everything is born from the earth and ultimately returns to it, but that's wrong initially all things were born in water and they grew on earth. The earth is a supplement for all life giving out it's resource's and nutrients, but eventually receiving it all back. The earth is kind and it guides. The ultimate form of earth is life not because it bares it, but because it nurtures it. The earth represents the universe as a stable force connecting all fire, water, wood and metal all have a symbiotic relationship with it. The earth is set in every corner."

With a brown flash his second soul tribute was born causing another Universal river to fall.

...

Riel said shocked "Soul tribute, How so fast? Furthermore this isn't the heaven judging... what is this?"

Ryo said "A Universe battle. Master is being bathed in the universe river and two things either will happen; he'll go insane or he'll become stronger."

...

"Old yellow. Wasn't this trial made for that person," The white tiger said with a soft voice, "The one you took care of. The Hell prince."

The Qilin was silent, but it's eyes danced and memories sealed and past flooded his mind.

The black turtle sighed "You always appeared whenever a person who would bring about great change came, but no one could have anticipated what happened to the Yama and the prince. Don't be sad it's not because of you."

The Qilin said "If there need be a time to remember that foolish boy I will, but he need not be remembered now."

The Azure dragon laughed "Foolish? Whenever you met us you bragged about your disciples accomplishments. You dragged us all to his marriage and everything. Old Yellow some of your happiest times were teaching that boy don't deny it. Even I remember when you called us to watch - He was talented, but your gentle eyes were more warm and unexpected than his talent. When he wrote calligraphy your eyes seemed to mist. I know you treasure those times, but you keep them inside locked up because you think we don't have the luxury, but if you do that your not only harming yourself, Ryuk, but even that boy. Who knows Ryuk may encounter his reincarnation or even save him. The Hell prince was not one to allow his family to suffer - Indra would never allow that."

...

Ryuk after finishing being bathed in the universal river sighed deeply and then was transported out of the dream.

He met the 5 Primordial beings.

"Well done Ryuk, but this isn't enough. You need to work harder." The Qilin spoke first.

Ryuk said "Yeah. I know, I know. Although could you do me a favor and teach me a multi thought technique? I want to try a special thing."

The Azure Dragon was stared at and it said "Fine. Here this is my personally made technique - Blue dreams."

Ryuk nodded after getting the information and said "Ah this burden is so harsh. I have to kill and become the creator or completely die."

The White tiger said "You should find confidantes to share your burden otherwise not only will your Cultivation stagnate from the stress you might never survive against the forces of the creator."

Ryuk said "When I passed the exam to my sect I was happy. I felt proud and confident, but I wondered what if I failed. I wouldn't only feel bad about my uselessness, but what if I had people I loved. I would feel horrible if I let them down. It's easier if I go on the road alone. Even if I lose I'll just dissapear. People who stand by me they would look to me and If I failed I couldn't look them back in the eyes."
