Too Drunk To Go Home

Seeing the scene unfolding in front of her eyes, Ivy felt pleased, for Rose had found herself a partner who was willing to do anything for her, for the two of them to be together.

She felt happy and content knowing that her sister had found herself a partner who would always be there for her, who would always protect her.

Hiding a smile, she looked at the two of them before interrupting their confessions of undying love to each other.

''Alright, that's enough.''

Looking at Rose, she continued.

''You don't have to worry about anything. I will talk to aunt.''

''But will she agree?''

Rose asked, feeling a bit sceptical and doubtful.

''Of course, she will.''

Ivy said, full of confidence.

''You don't have to worry about that, I will handle her, and I will also talk to grandpa.''

Hearing this, Rose felt choked as she said,

''Thank you, Ivy.... really thank you for everything.''

Seeing Rose thank Ivy, Jack also looked at Ivy earnestly, as he too thanked her.

''Thank you...''

On hearing Jack thank her, Ivy simply shook her head as she told Jack.

''There is no need to thank me, I didn't do it for you...I did it for her.''

She said while pointing at Rose with her index finger.''

''I know.''

Jack said,

''And that is why I thanked you, because you were there for her. Your support meant a lot to her.

And now that we have your blessings too, I know that Rose is also quite happy about it.''

Jack said with a cheeky smile as he naturally wrapped her arms around Rose.

Seeing this, Ivy let out another content smile before looking at her watch and on seeing how late it was getting, she told them to wrap up and leave,

''Alright, let's head home now.''

Ivy concluded as she picked up her purse from the seat and checked that all the items were inside before looking at them again as she continued,

''I have to hurry back, see you later.''

She said with the second half of the sentence aiming at Rose, but just she was about to move, she suddenly stopped as she remembered something.

Turning back, she looked at Rose as she told her.

"Don't go home today, your eyes are red, and it looks very apparent that you have cried. Aunt will surely question you the second you enter.

Just stay at a hotel today. I will talk to aunt tomorrow positively.''

"Sure.."

Both Jack and Rose said simultaneously.

"You don't have to worry about her. I will look after her for sure. Besides, the two of us need to have a really long talk about our future.''

Jack said as he tightened his wrap around Rose.

Hearing this and seeing how much Jack cared for Rose, Ivy felt that Rose was safe, and she also got ready to be on her way when a voice suddenly made her stop.

"Should you drive? You drank a lot.''

Turning back, Ivy was surprised for a moment when she realized that It was Damon who spoke. But she quickly regained her composure before facing him and answering him in her business tone, curt and concise.

"You don't have to worry about that Mr Wood. I will find my way home.''

Hearing this something passed Damon's eyes too quick for Ivy to recognize it.

"I can send you home...I didn't drink anything too alcoholic.''

He said, but before he could continue to persuade Ivy, a voice suddenly spoke from behind them.

"There is no need for that Mr Wood. I am present here to escort her back.''

Looking back, they all saw a man looking at them, and the men who had previously attended the party that Ivy had crashed, successfully recognized him as Eric, one of Ivy's eleven bodyguards.

"So, as you can see, I have a driver to take me home.''

Ivy said before once again walking towards the elevator.

''Well...about that...''

Eric spoke as he looked at Ivy with an awkward smile.

"What happened?''

Ivy asked,

''Team leader called me earlier and told me not to bring you back today..."

Eric answered, to which Ivy asked.

"Why?''

"He said that he did not want to set a bad example for James for staying out late and drinking and partying. That is why he doesn't want James to see you suffering from a hangover tomorrow morning. He also told me to take you to a hotel and check you in.''

Eric finished quickly in one breath as he waited for Ivy's response. After a minute of contemplation, Ivy also agreed as she told him.

"Fine then, let's check into a hotel.''

"You can come with us.''

Rose prompted before continuing,

"Both me and Jack are also checking in a hotel nearby anyway.''

''Okay.''

Ivy said as she picked up her bag and followed the two of them, without even for once paying attention to the man who stood there with a desperate expression.
