Warriors

After a while, Finn senses that dran Dran is coming while holding a bottle of wine and two glasses. He passes one of them to Finn and pours it for Finn and himself.

"Cheers Finn!"

"Cheers Dran!"

After finishing a glass of wine, Dran and Finn then chatted. They talked about their past, how they separated and all sorts of things. Minutes turns to hours, the bottle of wine that was once full is now empty.

"Whew! We haven't talked like this in ages. You were completely different when we met again last month after not seeing each other for years! And you were different again after you got blind. And how come you could walk, run and fight like a normal person even though you're blind? That's amazing!"

"Hahaha, I think that this condition of mine is a blessing in disguise. It teaches me a lot of things. You should always see the bright side of things. That's the way forward."

"I'll say cheers to that!"

Dran then raises his glass. Realising that it is empty, he then puts it down quickly and laughs awkwardly.

"Hahaha... Anyways! I haven't done educating you!"

Hearing that, Finn stares at Dran in anticipation.

"Ahem! Ahem!"

Clearing his throat, Dran continues explaining where he left off.

"I have told you about the gems. Now, I'll tell you about the Warriors and their system."

Standing up and straitening his back, Dran looks like a teacher teaching his student.

"As you can see in the manuals such as Krow's or Greem's, it says that after mastering the final stage to its peak, there needs to be a small success or middle success in Aura. What does this mean? First, let me tell you about the steps after activating Aura."

"After you have activated you Aura, then you are called an apprentice. There are five stages following that. The first is the introductory stage, in this stage, you have just activated you Aura. You are called as a white apprentice. You then need to absorb the energy from the surroundings or from the energy gem. After that, there's the beginning stage. Just like in the manuals, the small success in Aura is the beginning stage. Here, you are called as a yellow apprentice."

"Absorbing more energy until you reached middle success, you are then called as a grey apprentice. After that, there's the great success. It usually only exists in high noble families' manual. Those at this stage are called as purple apprentice. And finally, there's the final stage, manuals only exists until the great success. So, there's no full success in any manuals. Those at this stage are called as red apprentice. My dad, which is the family head, is in this stage. After this, you will then enter the realm of warriors."

Hearing all of this, Finn's knowledge broadens. He now knows more about this world and its system hierarchy.

"So Dran, does one only needs to absorb energy to go to the next stage? Then as long as one has unlimited supply of energy gems, they could directly go straight to the peak then."

"Hahaha young Finn, it is not as simple as absorbing energy. One's own body has a limit capacity on absorbing. If you push through the limit, then you will destroy your body and soul. But, having a lot of energy gems sure helps fasten the process of going through the stages. Therefore, you sure are lucky to get one from Krow!"

"And don't you think that it is easy to break to stages. There are barriers between the stages. Going to the yellow stage, one has to have a small success in controlling their Aura. Going to the grey stage, one needs to be able to have great success in controlling their Aura. And going to the purple stage, you need to start condensing your Aura. Doing all of these things, I have no idea. The elder in my family didn't teach me how to do so."

Hearing being called young by someone younger than him annoys him a bit. He disregards the statement and proceeds to ask another question.

"But why does a person needs to be at least twelve years old to be able to activate their Aura?"

"Well, it is because when the body hits twelve years old, the body has been fully developed to form an energy centre in our stomach region that could connect and synchronise the energy of the world with our soul. Having that, you could then start to feel the energy in your surroundings. After you have synchronised with your surrounding energy, you could take a part of it and absorb it to your soul. Shouldn't your family elders explain this to you?"

"Hahahaha. Anyways thanks a lot for the help teacher Dran. I really appreciate it!"

Hearing that Finn didn't answer his question, Dran thought that Finn's not comfortable in talking about his family. He then just leaves it at that. But hearing himself being called teacher, his mood soars to the sky.

"HAHAHA student Finn, no worries at all! If you have any questions, feel free to tell me about it."

They continue to chat until the sun starts to set. They then part ways back to each of their carriages. The carriages soon resume the journey to the city of Wyrnir.

In his carriage, Finn continues to ponder and reflect about his conversation with Dran. He recalls that Dran told him that forming an energy centre in his body allows him to start feel the surrounding energy. He is confused about that statement because he could already feel the surrounding energy but couldn't contain it nor absorb it. Now, what does that mean?
