Lucky Day

Finn then plunders three more carriages. Every time he plunders, he goes back to his carriage to store his loot. He does so because if he senses that the monkeys have gone back, pissed not finding their target, he would drop everything and quickly escape. He won't need to store his loot first and then escape.

Turns out, the monkeys do come back. They are extremely pissed that they couldn't find their target. Sensing that the monkeys have come back, before going into the fifth carriage to plunder it, he quickly makes his escape deep into the forest.

He doesn't bait the monkeys anymore because he has a feeling that these monkeys aren't so dumb to fall for the same trick twice. Moreover, If he eliminates all the monkeys, he couldn't blame the stolen stuff on the monkeys.

With that all done, he wonders what is he going to do now. He suddenly heard a loud cry from the distance. The cry sounds a lot like the monkey leader's cry. He senses that the steps of the monkeys around the carriages got even more agitated and nervous. He predicts that the monkey leader won't hold too long before us humans wins.

The monkeys got even more aggressive with their attacks. They no longer care about their lives and fight with all their might.

Finn wandering around the forest senses three kids are currently being chased by a couple of monkeys. From their steps, he senses that one of them is actually Doug. It looks like the monkeys really love to chase Doug. This turns out to be his lucky day. He didn't think that he could finish this troublesome matter so soon.

He knows that Doug has a grudge for him. The more he succeeds, the more grudge Doug has. Moreover, he does this to make sure that Dran doesn't get betrayed under his watch. With them splitting up after they get into the their respective academies, he knows that he could no longer help Dran. Hence, he should first finish up all the things that could be a problem in both his and Dran's future.

While running away from the monkeys, Doug looks back to see that the monkeys are speeding up. They have been running for 20 minutes with their full energy and are now very tired. Seeing that the monkeys are getting closer and closer, he decides to abandon one of his friend. He kicks the knee of the person beside him making him fall down. Some of monkeys pounced to the fallen person eating him up alive. Their blazing red eyes got even more red. But some of the monkeys are still chasing after them.

His other friend is shocked to the core. He couldn't believe that Doug would sacrifice his friend. Looking at Doug in disbelief, Doug looks back at him and told him to shut up and not tell anyone or else he would also end him. He knows that if they are chased by the monkeys again, then he would be the one sacrificed. Thinking about this, he tries to run in another direction when suddenly a dagger could be seen stabbed on his back. He then drops to the ground as well, blood flowing to the ground. He doesn't have the energy left to continue running. The monkeys catching up to them pounced at him too, eating him up as well.

Doug finishes him too because he doesn't want to leave any witness of him sacrificing his friend. If word of this goes out, his reputation would be tarnished. No one would want to be friends with someone who betrays others. He has not stopped running even once while doing all of those things.

Seeing that the monkeys got delayed a bit and is now quite far, he could rest for a bit. He then leans on a tree, catching his breath. He is extremely tired right now.

"Would you like to have some water?"

Hearing this question, he almost immediately answers "yes" when he sees the person who is asking the question which makes him draw his sword. He tighten his grip and stares at him with his raging gaze.

"What are you doing here!? Did you see what just happened?"

"Don't be so tense Doug, I was just wandering around when I sense you leaning on a tree. Of course I didn't see you sacrifice two of your buddies just now. I'm blind!"

Doug then realise that Finn is blind which made him question himself why he asks such stupid question. Maybe it is because even though Finn is blind, he always acts like a normal person. He then remembers that Finn said that he didn't see him sacrifice two of his buddies which tells him that he definitely sees it! Although he doesn't know that Finn doesn't sees it but rather senses it. The fact that the monkeys got delayed and the movement of his friend appear sluggish before falling all of a sudden lets Finn deducts that Doug does something to them.

"Since you know it, you better keep it into your grave then!"

Saying that, Doug slashes his sword forward, targeting it to Finn. Finn easily dodges the sword. He senses that the monkeys are starting to catch up. He then kicks Doug's legs, making him fall. Doug struggles to stand up but Finn keeps holding him down.

"What are you doing! Do you not know who I am!? You are totally going to regret this! My family is going to have revenge."

"How is your family supposed to take revenge when no one knows that I'm the one who does it."

Doug just said those words because every time he said so, the opponent hesitates and ends up not doing what they wanted to do. But too bad that he is in a dangerous situation and he meets Finn. There is no better opportunity for Finn to get rid of him.

He then realises that his situation is not good. He then begs Finn to spare him.

"It's good that you no longer continue your useless dialogue of making me regret this. But too bad for you, you are not going to make it past today. If you could betray your friends now, who says that you won't betray your friends in the future. I'm not going to let you betray Dran in the future. So, any last words?"

Hearing that, Doug knows that he couldn't be saved anymore. He just clenches his fists and stares at Finn with daggers in his eyes.

"YOU WILL LIVE A TERRIBLE LIFE! I WILL ALWAYS HAUNT YOU ALL YOUR LIFE!"

With that finished, the monkeys have catched up. Finn then kicks Doug into the direction of the monkeys, being swarmed alive. He then speeds up escaping the monkeys' pursuit. The monkeys tries to chase after him but soon lose track of him. They then goes to look for other prey.

While speeding through the forest, he thought to himself.

'I wonder if I'll be able to sense spirits and ghosts in the future. Make sure that you keep your word Doug in haunting me if I'm able to see ghosts in the future.'

He then goes in the direction where the guards are located at.
