Changes

The sun is about to set and the journey has stopped for a while. The guards are currently taking a break to sleep for a while so that they could be in their top condition. Finn, sensing that the carriages have come to a stop. Immediately went out to find a secluded place where he could check his spoils of plunder.

Without being notice by anyone, he silently left the area of the carriages. He won't be away too long from the area of the carriages since this forrest is littered with danger.

After being quite far from the carriage, he opens his bag and checks out his spoils. He first grabs the low-class gems, counting that there are 8 in total including his. That means that he obtains 7 gems in plundering 4 carriages. He doesn't plunder his carriage just in case that the guards are going to check which carriages got littered by the monkeys. But turns out the guards couldn't even bothered with the kids' problems.

After storing back the gems, he proceeds to count the books he plundered. Counting all the books, he appears to have obtained 13. Although there are a lot of book, he hopes that one of them is at least a high noble family's manual.

Flipping through the first manual and scanning it with his fingers, feeling the rough written contents with his hands. After going through all the pages in detail, he found out that this is just an explicit novel with a cover of a manual. He got duped into thinking that this is a legit manual.

Pissed, he got onto the next book, doing the same thing. Turns out, this is also a novel. But at least this is not an explicit novel. He then throws it away, hoping that all one of it is a manual.

After going through all the books, a smile could be seen plastered on Finn's face. His wish do come true, out of all 13 books, 5 of them are manuals with 4 being from low noble family manuals and 1 one of them is from a high noble family manual. That's right, he has obtained a high Nobel family manual.

With his mood improving for the better, he burns all the remaining books and put out the fire. After putting out the fire, he speeds off to go back to his carriage.

4 days has passed by and it is finally the last day of the journey before arriving into the city of Wyrnir. The kids couldn't help but feel excited in arriving into the city. The journey so far has been hell for them. The experience of the monkeys have been giving them nightmares for the past 4 days. With the carriages coming to a stop for a rest, the kids then go out to play. They try to forget the experience by playing around and not thinking about it.

With all the kids outside, Finn stays back inside his carriage, sitting with his legs crossed. He is currently checking the changes that his happening to him. His senses has been growing at a rapid pace. Not to mention, with just a single read, he could now memorise all the contents. It appears that his memory is boosted. He realises it when reading the high noble family manual. This ability to read in a single read an having it memorised appears to be like photographic memory. The last time he read the middle grade and low noble families manuals that he stole, he didn't have this photographic memory.

Although his memory is good, it is not as good as a photographic memory. And photographic memory couldn't be trained. It is something some humans are born with. As far as he knows it back on earth, he doesn't have one. But for some reason, he now has it. And the original Finn doesn't even have a good memory, therefore the confusion where this photographic memory comes from.

Moreover, photographic memory is when you glance with your eyes and all the information is then memorised into your brain. But he couldn't even see. All the information such as smell, sound, taste and touch could be stored in his memory without him even trying to do so. It is even better than photographic memory.

The more he tries to synchronise with the surrounding energy, the more changes his body experience. His senses have already returned to their peak state from back on earth. His hearing could now hear from 500 meters away and his smelling is as good as a dog's. It even shows signs of improving.

He believe that there is no documents of someone obtaining photographic memory of anything similar in having their memory improved after they have their Aura activated. If so, what is the purpose of all these books then.

The clue that Finn could think of that links to the changes in his bodies is the scroll that is given to him by the monks for safekeeping. After he blows himself up, not long after, he woke up in the carriage. But the scroll suddenly appears in his mind. Its vivid colours shocked Finn. Although he couldn't see his surroundings, he could see that scroll remaining in his mind.

The scroll is written in some unclear text which he doesn't know. He has never opened it back on earth since it has always been in its sealed state. When he was trusted with the scroll, he was told to never open it. Not to mention, he was too busy escaping the assassins and special agents to even bother opening it.

The text is written in nothing like he has ever seen before. It is neither in earth's languages nor the language that the original Finn knows. Without knowing what it is and what to do with it, he just leaves it be not caring about it. But every time that he connects and synchronises with the energy of the world, the scroll suddenly shines bright but soon after dims down. He feels some sort of energy flowing through his body. It only lasts for a little while before disappearing into nothingness.

Based on his talk with Dran, he knows that the feeling he experiences is what someone feels after activating their Aura for the first time. When someone activates their Aura for the first time, their body's senses and capabilities is then strengthened and sharpened to be attuned so that it is easier for them to absorb the energy of the world.

It appears that the memory and brain power is also improved. Maybe it is because of this that he now has a powerful memory. With Finn always having his senses and other parts constantly strengthened, one might wonder how high it could be. Finn knows that this is a secret that he needs to keep to his grave, not telling anyone about it.

But every time the flowing energy disappears, he couldn't feel the surrounding Aura and connects to it. He could only do so after a day has passed. Hence, he only does so whenever he is sure that he is currently not in danger. Having the ability to feel the surrounding Aura before activating his Aura is a benefit for him. He could determine if the opponent is stronger than him. If his opponent doesn't have any Aura, he doesn't really need to be worried about his opponent.

Maybe it is this scroll that allows him to feel this energy even before forming his energy centre. And the benefits that this provide for Finn is tremendous. This world is filled with wonders. He believes that in the far future, he will soon learn what this scroll actually is and why it appeared back on earth.

Although he couldn't activate his Aura since he is not yet 12 years old, he could already connect and synchronises with the energy of the world. After he reaches the age of 12, forming his energy centre, activating his Aura will be a piece of cake for him.
