Chapter :-46 Izanami Vs Izanagi (Part-2)

A handsome middle-aged man wearing white robes with golden lining running at the edges was floating mid-air. He held a huge jewelled spear within his right palm and had a regal appearance.

Black raven hair, sharp eyes, lined features and a majestic aura surrounding his body highlighted his status within the ranks of Gods.

The [Shinto God of Creation], Izanami's brother also her husband, father of Amaterasu, Susanoo and Tsukuyomi, a [2nd Generation Head God], the one who sealed Izanami inside the [Yomi], his name–Izanagi.

According to the [Kojiki], Shinto's genesis gods Izanagi and Izanami were responsible for creating the first land.

To help them do this, they received the heavenly jewelled spear, [Amenonuhoko], which was a divine construct meant for creating life -- a gift bestowed by [Inari's grandparents] onto, Izanagi and Izanami, in order to be the progenitors of humanity for generations to come when they settled down on Earth.

The spear was kept by Izanagi and it served as one of his treasures, sealed within an unknown temple. The whereabouts of the spear were kept a mystery and the legends never mentioned the spear after it had served its purpose in creating [Onogoro-Shima].

When drops of salty water fell from the tip, they formed into the first island,  [Onogoro-Shima]. Izanagi and Izanami then descended from the bridge of heaven and made their home on the island.

He coldly gazed at his foolish children and then turn to face his wife who scared him even after so many millennia. He gulped down a mouthful of saliva as he stared into those jet black eyes.

"I see that you have escaped from [Yomi]....."

"Yes I did, though I would have preferred you to be the one who freed me instead of someone else..."

"I did what was right, Izanami..."

"You abandoned me!!!...."

"I was scared!!!, the Izanami I knew was dead!!! You are just a shell of your previous self!!!..."

"We could have been together!!!, if only you had followed to the rules!!! We could have spent the rest of eternity within each other's arms!!!..."

"I am glad I broke the rules!!! If I didn't see the atrocity you had became and had brought you to the living world, you would have destroyed all life!!!"

"I am not Evil...!!!, Izanagi. It was you!!! Who made me what I have become...A MONSTER!!!...."

"Then I shall be the one to slay my demons!!!..."

Suddenly the spear within Izanagi's hand glowed with a strong light and at a speed unseen before, he thrust it forward towards his former wife.

"Mother!!!!...."

Susanoo wasn't able to move since the power and the speed behind the thrust was too overpowered.

"This time you will be the one to suffer!!!..."

The yellow lantern and [Wagasa] (Paper-umbrella) disappeared from her hands and what appeared to be a "Sword" materialized within Izanami's right hand.

Izanami slashed towards the incoming spear with great strength causing a boom to resound throughout the Shinto domain of the Underworld.

ᒥ....The sky rippled, the air burst open, the earth quaked, the sea churned, the whole Underworld felt the power behind the clash between two equally strong 2nd Generation Gods....ᒧ

ᒥ....A clash between a "Brother" and a "Sister", a clash between a "Husband" and a "Wife", a clash between "Former Lovers", a clash between "Eternal Enemies", a clash between a "Mother" and a "Father", a clash between "Light" and "Dark", a clash between "Good" and "Evil"....ᒧ

Izanagi's eyes widened, he was being pushed back....even with the [Divine-construct] bestowed by the only two [1st Generation Gods]. The strange "Sword" within the hands of his former wife was stronger than a top-tier [Divine-construct].

ᒥ....The nature of the "Sword" becomes more absurd as he views its power. It can be used as a close combat slashing weapon wielded much like a regular sword, and even with its dull tip, it gave off the feeling that nothing couldn't be pierced by it....ᒧ

It has a grip, handguard, and is the same length as a longsword, the section that should contain a blade deviates from the normal form of an edged weapon. The "blade" itself and the tip of the sword, spun in a spiral shape, are dull.

It has the shape of a cylindrical, drill-shaped pillar made up of three independently rotating segments engraved with crimson cuneiform lettering that spin slowly in an alternating direction like querns, the middle segment spinning clockwise and the top and bottom segments spinning counterclockwise.

Izanagi could feel that the weapon his former wife wasn't able to use the weapon within her hand at 100% power, it was like the "Sword" rejected her, rejected a 2nd generation, God.

Even then it's sheer durability and sharp edges were enough for Izanami to force Izanagi into retreat. Henrik had mentally contacted his sister, Freya and asked her to give his [Ea, Sword of Rupture] to Izanami so that she can fight against the [Heavenly spear] which Izanagi possessed.

Izanagi created some distance between both of them as he asked his sister about the origin of the "Sword" within her hands.

"What is that "Sword"...?"

"A "Sword" which will be the reason for your defeat...."

"Humph!!....even if that "Sword" is superior to my [Amenonuhoko]. You still wouldn't be able to defeat me...."

This time Izanami took the initiative to attack her brother, a horizontal slash towards his abdomen while the huge snake behind her attacked Izanagi with extreme speed. The huge snake suddenly burst forth with so much energy that it was actually on par with Izanami, [True-Lightning] surrounded its body.

The snake was actually [Raijin], the ancient [Shinto God of Lightning] born from Izanami's corpse. Susanoo was able to utilize blue lightning due to the fact that the storm is accompanied by lightning but this snake was the true lightning God of Shinto.

Izanagi reacted quickly and parried Izanami's sword strike with his Spear while punching Raijin in the face with his left first covered in heavenly might, emitting from the first itself.

Even though [Ea] was stronger than the spear, but the spear provided more range and better parry due to it being a spear. He was able to successfully parry the incoming "Sword" strike while also clashing against a God as strong as Izanami herself.

Izanami used the distraction caused by Raijin to immoderately manoeuvre her sword around his spear and slash towards his back which he still defended using his spear even though he was immediately assaulted with numbing [True-lightning].

But the thick Divine-protection around his body absorbed all the damage at the cost of his energy.

Just before Izanagi's reinforced first neared Raijin's face, the air around it solidified causing most of the force within the strike to disappear and also the speed of the attack to slow down allowing Raijin to dodge the incoming attack with his snake-like dexterity.

From within Susanoo's Kusanagi, a tremendous storm burst forth and immediately appeared near the three Gods fighting each other.

Raijin had already transformed into its true form, a fierce, frightening face and a muscular figure with gravity-defying hair. He is surrounded by Taiko drums that he plays to create the sound of thunder. Raijin holds large hammers in his hands that he uses to play the drums. In some cases, Raijin is with three fingers which are said to represent the past, present and future.

Raijin serious and intense one, or so how the myths portray him. While serious, he has a laid back serious attitude that can lead to him annoying Fujin through belittlement when Raijin acts like "the big brother" of the two.

Raijin doesn't like taking anything from anyone. Meaning, he isn't going to deal with insolence. His love for Japan is something he will fight for and ultimately win. He also loves a woman a lot.

The storm brewing near the 3-Gods turned into the Fūjin or Futen is the Japanese god of the wind and one of the eldest Shinto gods.

A terrifying wizardly demon, resembling a red-headed green-skinned humanoid wearing a leopard skin, carrying a large bag of winds on his shoulders.

"Ok ok....why don't we all calm down and talk it out!?..."

To any Japanese god, the brothers act like they've known them for a while which they did. They'll gladly battle them to assert dominance and have fun in the process.

Their wish is to defend Japan till the day they die by a strong person and not by lack of mystery. To Izanagi, Raijin might have a giant hatred towards him and will want to kill him. However, Fujin will treat him kindly and try distracting or having Raijin cease on his killing.

Together they seem like knuckleheads but in actuality, they are deadly servants that can easily wipe out a country if they so desire.

"Fujin, you stay out of this!!! Today, I will kill Izanagi no matter what!!!...."

He drummed and thundered as terrifying [True-Lightning] started crackling all around the Shinto Domain of Underworld. Izanagi and Izanami also riled up their energy as vast divine energy filled the whole place.

Fujin looked at the three idiots and then turned towards Amaterasu and Susanoo while thinking to himself.

ᒥ....These fools will end up killing Susanoo and Amaterasu if they continued to fight here, I must protect the young'un....ᒧ

Amaterasu and Susanoo had already retreated near the unbreakable boulder that blocked the Yomi's entrance along with Freya and Kiyohime who were currently near Henrik who was standing straight with his eye-closed.

Fujin turned into [True-Wind] and formed an impregnable dome surrounding the cave to protect them from the divine clash between three 2nd generation Gods.

A truly devastating battle was about to begin....
