Ash Wrought by Light Final Part

Jadamine lay there on the ground her heavy head being held up by the hand of a hunter who sought the destruction of her family. A family that was once massive and was very quickly cut down by three fourths of its original size. A family that was tight nit, and looked out for one another, a family who's life now dangled in the hands of the younger vampire. Julius, a vampire through what information she could gather on his past. Was the very thing you would call worthy of a leader.

Laying there, as her blood slowly flowed from her body. Jadamine smiled. She smiled knowing that in her demise something better would come of it.

Being taken aback by her smile Mathias scowled at her puzzled as he felt his anger begin to rise. "Why are you smiling?!" he growled at her his grip tightening around her chin, adding to the intense pain that stabbed at her body.

"Because..by me dying..it leads to a chance for the next generation of my kind" Jadamine softly chuckled through the pain as she looked at the man who held her. "It has been years since I've seen the light of day..and wasn't afraid of it"

Mathias gritted his teeth as he let go of her chin dropping her head to the ground. Moving out of the way as the first rays of daylight shone on Jadamines body as hot fiery pain shot through her body. Flames slowly began to erupt from her body as she began to cry out in pain.

She saw her life flashing before her eyes. Everything she had ever done and experienced flashing like it were being shown in film. The realization of how little her life had mattered in the long run. Of how little the things she had done had actually seemed as her life was ending. Would she still be alive had she done something different? That last thought flashed through her mind before the flames began to completely consume her.

Yet in her last final moments. Jadamine didn't feel a hint of regret, she felt, strangely enough proud. Proud of her family, of her daughter. The best thing she had ever done in her life. Was giving birth to her daughter. Her daughter, the only one she ever truly cared about. Cared about enough to protect so closely and to keep from being subjected to the cruel world she lived in. Yet she failed in protecting her from it. Protecting her from something that would have happened no matter how hard she tried.

Staring up to the two hunters through the wall of flames that had engulfed her eating at her life. The Grimm stood there not showing any sign of emotion. And the human stood there. Not with a look of satisfaction on his face, but a look of distaste as he watched her die.

Taking in weak and painful breathes, each breath growing slower and weaker with each second, her vision began to blur eventually going black as she laid there, only hearing the crackling flames that were consuming her numb body. She felt at peace, she felt the cold grips of death grab at her and drag her away from the mortal coil she lived upon as her body just crumbled into ashes.

Julius appeared in his home stumbling over himself his body and mind going through overdrive as he leaned against the wall gritting his teeth as the emotional pain slowly and surely consumed him. Letting out an anguished cry of pain that reverberated through the building. Hurried footsteps as Ryzen and Drevan rounded the corner to see Julius standing there alone leaning against the wall.

"Julius who are these people and why are they in the manor?!" Ryzen yelled out stopping before him as Drevan placed a hand on Julius' shoulder just giving him a knowing look. A look that was like a stab to his heart. He had failed in doing the simplest thing, and why had he failed? Because he was worried about a little bit of sunlight?

"They are here because I let them come here Ryzen...They are under our protection until I say otherwise." Julius said after a long moment standing as he pushed his thoughts to the back of his mind taking in a deep calming breath. "Where is Angelica?"

"She was put into your room" Drevan spoke as he looked between Ryzen and Julius. "And there is a really unhappy woman out on the other side of that door that had just tried to maul us for being here so you might need to talk to her."

Gritting his teeth, he wasn't really in the mood for dealing with his mother or his sister. But he had to. Walking over to the door he took another deep breath before opening the door seeing not one but two unhappy women standing there before the door as Julius cursed under his breath.

"What in the hell is wrong with you?!" His sister was the first one to speak surprisingly enough to him as he stood there in the door way before removing his overcoat and placing it on the coat hanger. "Why didn't you bring someone with you to help you with this?!"

"Because Beau, I didn't know that there was going to be a fucking hunter attack on the Xeres manor! And I didn't think that the head of the Xeres family would fucking die either but there was nothing I or anyone else could do to save her life, and before you yell at me for being stupid. If I brought anyone to help with this shit show. Mathias would have just killed them as well." Julius spoke basically venting as he spoke loudly before looking to the stairs and seeing that Angelica stood at the top. With a look of pain on her face that hurt him.

Turning Angelica ran back down the hall down to his room as others began to enter the hall hearing what he had just yelled, as Julius stood there. Kicking himself mentally. I am such an idiot. He thought to himself.
