Rushing down the hallway towards the end of it Julius and Mila ran without regard to their own personal safety stopping mere steps away from the door itself, which held obvious signs that someone had began to break it down before having given way. Giving each other a quick glance then readied themselves for what they were about to face. A man who was bent on power, and would not stop until he got it.
That was the truth of the matter at hand. It wasn't one that was particularly ideal, but it was the one that they were faced with. Even with the pain of having to take yet another member of their family. Even with the addition of the Xeres clan added upon the Morave. The loss of the high ranking fighters has been a damaging blow.
"You sure you are ready for this Julius?" Mila spoke in a hushed tone as she looked up at her brother. Who quickly glanced from the door way to her.
"As ready as I'll ever be." He responded in a low tone before walking into the room as he slowly looked around. Seeing the room having been almost completely destroyed. Looking around with eyes wide he turned his gaze to Mila who shared a similar look of disbelief.
There in the middle of the room was the blood covered body..of someone they never thought would have gotten overpowered. Especially by the hands of Ryzen.
Laying on the ground was a still body of their mother. Gritting his teeth as rage began to course through his being he began to look around the room before he let his seething anger out.
"RYZEN WHERE ARE YOU!" Julius roared out his voice shaken in anger as he continued on his way through the room. Making sure to keep his senses as alert as he could he attempted to scan the room as he felt his vision turning a particular shade of red as he just began to boil with unrelenting rage.
He wouldn't have noticed the fact if it weren't for his sister who grabbed his wrist and pulled against him with all of her weight.
"Julius you can't let your rage cloud your mind! It is exactly what Ryzen wants, you can't give into that!" Mila said as he spun around to face her as if she were the enemy. Standing her ground Mila eyed him down with a serious look. "You need to clear your mind Julius, just because mother is on the ground doesn't mean that she is dead. It would take a lot more than what Ryzen is capable of doing to take her off of the face of the Earth."
Julius knew that she was right, his sister often was. When it came down to it she was honestly more fit to hold the title of head of the family. But she didn't want to continue the family Matriarchy.
"I know this is what he wants Mila...but this is one war he is not going to be walking away from alive. I am not in the mood for playing it safe, and not in the mood to be merciful to a member who decided to play traitor." Julius growled.
"And what about Angelica? Are you not going to worry about the girl that you are due to have to marry in the near future?" Mila scolded her brother crossing her arms and standing with a slight tilt of her hip. "You need to prioritize correctly in moments like this brother. if not, you could find yourself in a worse situation than this, so please. Clear your head and make the right choice here."
Taking a deep breath Julius raked his hand through his hair as he looked down the long room the floors having been littered with debris of what was once nice table and furniture. Taking a look around the room he felt his anger continuing to bubble, but not to the point in which it overflowed.
Trying to piece together exactly what happened in the room, he turned back to the direction they had came from and saw a wooden cabinet that seemed to have been untouched by the fight that had previously happened within this room.
Taking a few steps towards the cabinet Julius slowly readied his blade in case anything was bound to continue to go wrong with his day, and especially his week.
"Who ever is in there go ahead and get out, or my blade will be going through some very priceless wood" Julius threatened in a commanding tone as he stood near the cabinet.
Slowly the cabinet door opened up showing a shaking hand of a woman who quickly fell out of the cabinet in a blood covered white dress. Quickly realizing who it was Julius ran over to the woman and slowly helped her up.
Seeing the sight of Angelica quickly calmed him some, but the weight of all the worry that was on top of him was purely staggering.
"By the gods it is good to see that you are truly okay." Julius said in a rushed tone as he pulled her into a tight hug that earned a snicker from that of his sister.
"Showing your soft side now eh Julius?" Mila asked from a crouched position as she was checking on their mother. "Mom is going to be fine by the way so there is no need to worry about her that much, as I was saying she is as tough as she always has been."
"Oh shut it Mila." Julius growled at his sister before looking down at Angelica who was obviously shaken from whatever it was she had witnessed. "Are you okay my dear?"
"I-I am fine" Angelica slowly muttered out as she quickly gathered herself and managing to look up to Julius. "Ryzen ran from the room...I think he used magic to escape the manor"
Looking to his sister with a solemn stare, Julius took a deep breath and shook his head. "Of course that coward did, it would be stupid of him not to." He said helping the woman up before looking to his sister. "It seems like it is time for us to begin cleaning up this mess that was made because of it."
