Fourty years had past since the birth of the Morave Xeres children, and they had all grown into their own, with the looks of young adults in their coming of age for most humans upon their eighteenth birthday. But for them as vampires, they were still viewed as children, for as vampires. They aged quite differently.
Aurella Morave Xeres sat silently in the dark of the night her, where the only light that is being produced is by that of a faint crescent moon. Letting out a calm and even breath she observed the stars that twinkled in the night sky. Feeling the light breeze on her skin, she began to wonder what exactly lived up there within the night sky. According to the humans. It was a vast amount of empty space filled with burning balls of fire and empty planets that were lifeless and lonely.
Looking down from the vast sky she stared at the book that she held in her lap, that she had been reading for the last couple of days. It was something that had caught her interest when she had asked her father about what was in the sky. She had ate up every little bit of information she could get her hands on. Whether it was from the family library or obtained through other means.
Looking up from her book she noticed one of her brothers stood a few feet away from her. How had she not heard him walking up to her? She thought to herself in silence before she stood up.
"Why are you standing so far away looking like such a stranger for?" Aurella would ask as she walked over to her brother holding the book under her arm.
Staring up to the tall and lean muscled young man of her brother. Who wore a simple maroon t-shirt and black jeans. With a warriors cross necklace with a black string around his neck.
"Am I not allowed to come check on my little sister?" He would ask we a small smirk on his face before looking back to the massive manor that was behind the two. "Mom and dad were wondering how long you were going to sit out here avoiding everyone."
"I'm not avoiding everyone!" Aurella would protest to her older brother with a pout on her face. " I just can't concentrate with all of the noise going around."
"Alright, alright whatever you say sis." Her brother would say in a mocking tone as he turned and began to make his way back towards the manor.
"You came out to bug me didn't you Marcus?! That's just evil!" She would say as she began to chase down her brother who ran as he laughed having been figured out by his sister. It was always a good day if he got his sister to envibe in his antics. Even more so when they actually ended up with her having fun. Since all she really did was read books or hang around the women in the house who babied her constantly.
Not that he was envious of that fact. Aurella was the baby of the three children that were raised together. He and his older brother Julian spent hours a night practicing with their father in order to build up their own combat capabilities. Even got them to the point where they were actually able to go on treks with the older vampires and do just fine. Well for the most part that was.
"You can't allow yourself to just waste away alone with books sis! You need to have some fun or you're just going to be boring." Marcus would say as he stuck his tongue out at his sister. Before he ended up being close-lined by a arm of pure muscle.
Hitting the ground hard Marcus choked on his breath some as he realized the figure who had close-lined him was his older brother. Julian. His eyes widening at the sight of his older brother looming over him. The pain he felt at the moment quickly turned into elation.
Quickly rising to his feet he looked at his brother in shock before looking back to his sister who had finally caught up to them.
"Julian!" Aurella yelled out the happiness in her voice unmistakable as she threw herself at her older brother and was caught in a spinning hug.
"Hey sis" Julian said in a tone of voice reminiscent of their fathers. It was crazy to think how much of a copy and paste he was compared to their father.
"When did you get back from your trek?" Marcus would ask his brother his voice brimming with curiosity, and his mind racing with questions that he was ready too rapid fire in the direction of his brother.
"I got back not that long ago actually." He would say answering the question that was thrown his way. "And before you barrage me with questions Marcus. Let me get comfortable at home before I talk about where i was for the last month and a half." He'd continue squishing down his brothers desire to question him before it went loose like a hellish flood.
Marcus would sigh having seen that coming before smiling at his brother. "Well anyways it's good to see you again"
Julian would return the smile with a soft smile of his own before patting his brothers head. "It's good to be home and being able to see my siblings again. I've missed you guys." he'd say as the door behind him opened gaining the attention of the three siblings.
Standing there was the blonde haired vampire that had basically helped raised the three of them. Draven.
"I was beginning to wonder why it was so quiet in the manor" Draven would say his voice thick with sarcasm.
"Oh I do not want to hear that from you Draven!" Marcus would yell pointing his finger at the older vampire standing before them who just laughed having succeeded in spiting the boy.
"I know I know all is older folk are trouble makers." He'd respond in sarcasm before looking at the three siblings. "Your parents want to see you three in your fathers office."
