"So, you want to risk your life and Luna's life in order to save the life of people close to you?" Luna would ask slowly standing and walking over to Aurella. An odd feeling going coming over her. It was something she had never experienced before. She felt, powerful. Almost as if something inside of her had been changed.
"I don't want you to risk your life for me Luna. I want you to come with me so you can preserve your own. Because there is no telling what Boris is going to do to you if he learns that, you let me leave this cavern." Aurella would say almost in a begging tone to the clueless girl before her. "I don't want you to die because of me."
Luna would blink walking over to Aurella and gently push her forward into the darkness, that was near blinding. Even with their inherit dark vision.
Stumbling forward into the darkness Aurella would strain to actually see as she was pushed. "What was that for Luna?!" She would yell, as she caught herself along one of the pitch-black walls. Looking around she tried to make sense of which way was left or right.
"Because the Luna has decided to go along with your plan and follow you through the blackness!" She would say smiling brightly to Aurella before grabbing her by the hand and running down the hall.
Aurella would be dragged along her eyes wide as Luna rushed ahead through the darkness managing to find her way, through the cave with almost complete ease. Almost as if her eyes were adjusted to the pitch-black darkness that surrounded them and dulled out most of their senses almost. Hearing their echoed footsteps down the hallway, Aurella kept her ears peeled for any heavy footsteps that would come from Boris himself.
"Can you see where we are going Luna?" Aurella would ask as she struggled to keep up with the girl. It was a miracle that she managed to just keep going, farther and farther into the darkness.
"Luna cannot see a thing in the darkness. She is just guessing as she goes. And I can definitely say that it is going good." Luna would respond in a happy tone as she continued to drag Aurella along.
It was in that moment Aurella tried to move through her memories. Trying to remember one of the many spells she was forced to learn. And had to continue training with in order to even be considered worthy of going and fueling her need for knowledge. Even if it was all a bunch of redundant texts.
"That's right! I know a spell that can create a light source!" Aurella would say loudly, before suddenly feeling the forward momentum stop.
"you can create light?" Luna would ask in a curious tone. "Why didn't you tell Luna sooner!"
"Honestly I didn't really think of it until now, because of the fact that I am still recovering from severe blood loss." Aurella would admit with a sigh. Her mind had slowed a considerable amount due to it. She wasn't used to having her blood drank really. And honestly most vampires weren't. For it weakened them a considerable amount due to their power being drank through their blood. It was one of the risks of allowing another to drink their blood. Because it had the chance to make them subservient to the one who indulged.
"Oh...well again. Luna is sorry for doing such thing as over drinking." She would say in an apologetic tone. Luna really did feel bad from drinking too much of the girls blood. And it was something she definitely wanted to make amends for. The only thing on her mind though. Was how does she go about doing it? Maybe she could give the girl a bath? Make her feel all nice and squeaky clean.
But that would require them getting out of this in relatively one piece. Minor injuries if it could be helped any.
Holding onto Luna's hand tightly. Aurella would hold out her free hand and began muttering a incantation under her breath slowly and carefully. As she tried to recall the exact words she needed to say in Latin, to make the magic work. She had honestly only been able to conjure a ball of flames a handful of times. After several hours of blowing herself up in the process with each failed incantation. It was something she felt embarrassed of. Not being able to effectively cast magic like any of the others in her coven. Yet alone in her family.
"Is it supposed to take this long to use the magics?" Luna would ask after about a minute of listening to Aurella attempt to cast the spell. Which very much so broke the girls concentration.
Upon feeling the magic she was gathering in her hand drop. She would look in the direction of where Luna's voice came from. Before letting out a slightly aggravated breath.
"Magic isn't easy for me and I can't cast it well. So I need all the concentration that I can get." Aurella would say in response.
"Ah alrighty. Luna shall let you concentrate in complete quietness." She would say in a somewhat cutesy tone. Odd. What was making her speak that way?
Upon Luna saying those words. The sounds of thousands of insects would begin making themselves known. From the direction they had just came from, accompanied by the sadistic laugh of Boris.
"Where are my little hostages running off to?" The voice would echo loudly through the cave system that they were in.
Aurella's eyes would widen, after a small period of her eyes managing to somewhat adjust to the pitch black. Allowing her to make out a few shapes in a space without light. She would feel Luna's hand tense and begin to shake in fear as they heard the bugs getting closer.
"We need to start running Luna." Aurella would say beginning to pull Luna and leading the way through the darkness. Deep down, Aurella hoped that they were heading the right direction by guessing. Because if they weren't they were as good as dead.
