A Deal To Strike

Boris would stand there completely in shock, having heard the name of the man before him. And only one thought crossed his mind. Why would Dracula be here? And approach him specifically? It was something that made no sense to him.

"And what is it that you want to talk about? Lord Dracula." Boris would ask, unease evident within his voice. He wasn't sure what he could do in this situation. But it was better that he played along with this mans wishes. If he wanted to live.

"As far as I am aware. You have recently came into the possession of a young woman." He would say staring down Boris. "Well technically, two young women. One of the Morave-Xeres coven. And another being a hitch hiker. How close am I to the dot on that?"

Boris would look at the man shocked. How could he know of the people he had grabbed? That kind of information hadn't even left the Morave-Xeres coven. At least as far as he was aware. And he knew it couldn't be due to the head of the coven. For he was heavily against most of the councils practices. And that is putting words like that lightly.

"How...How did you know about that?" He would ask in shock before taking several steps away from the vampire king before him. It wasn't often that someone of Boris' level met someone like Dracula face to face. And even then, it usually ended up with the lesser side being taken out of the picture entirely.

"Ah so your mind isn't as dense as it seemed to be. That makes things a great deal easier to handle. Simply put I am actively reading your mind as we speak. And the amount of juicy things within your head is way too abundant to simply stop doing so. And don't worry, after I am done reading your mind. You won't really be able to say no to any propositions that I have to give you. Lets just say it like this. I tell you what to do, you do it and you get to live."

Boris' eyes would widen even more. He hadn't noticed anything piercing into his mind. And since when was this spell cast upon him. His mind would quickly shift to when the blinding flames had first made their first bright flash.

"You cast the spell alongside the flames..." Boris would utter those words in pure disbelief. "That's why I didn't notice it in time to try to repel it..."

"You are quite astute for being a barbarian of a vampire. You are correct indeed Boris. Now tell me. Why exactly did you take a vial of the girls blood. Aurella was her name right? It seems the reasoning behind that is locked behind some pretty sturdy defenses. And I love a good secret and good ploy game. Just not when it comes to pure bred vampires and the possible threat of her coming back." Dracula would say taking several steps towards Boris with a intense look within his eyes. "So what will it be? You telling me why? Or me making you tell me why?"

"The head of my coven wanted me to see if the girl had the capabilities of being her. The one that had been whispered about since the time of the great flood. She wanted to know if the girl had the abilities of her late great grand parents. The ability to cast magics that not even the council together can." Boris would say showing subjugation to the vampire before him. Making the wisest choice he could make in the situation that he was in, it was better for him to play along with Dracula's wishes than to deny them. And end up with his body being burned to ashes, or his heart being removed rather forcefully.

"So miss Diana Morgan wants to try to cast the Bright Moon spell after all. A spell that would do untold amount of damage." He would say staring Boris with a look reminiscent of one being pushed off of their rocker.

Taking several steps closer to Boris. Dracula would hold out his hand to him indicating what he wanted.

"If I don't return with this vial Dracula, I won't be able to serve any use to you." Boris would say feeling his heart begin to pound due to how dire the situation was beginning to become for him. If he didn't act quick or try to find a way out of this situation, that would both benefit him and the vampire king before him. He was better off dead either way. He might as well just walk right into the blazing sunlight.

"Then how about this mister Boris. You get me a second vial of her blood then? You can keep the original and I can have the second dose. Enough to please both sides." He would say a dangerous look playing within his eyes. "And this better not be your attempt at double crossing me Boris."

"If this were my attempt to, you would already know. Since you're reading my mind and all." Boris would say in a low snarl before inclining his head. "They are moving. Trying to get out of the cave system."

"Then you might want to get a move on then my dear subordinate." Dracula would say with a cruel smile before slowly beginning to meld with the darkness, seeming to almost disappear from existence entirely.

Gritting his teeth Boris would proceed to land one good blow on the cave wall. Leaving a decent whole within it, before beginning on his way to find the two run aways. He had put so much effort into capturing.

"Hyalfyr!" Boris would yell summoning the demon that had been used to grab Aurella initially. Waiting a moment. Boris would feel the presence of the entity to his right. Earning a somewhat pleased smile.

"I need you to fetch our little run aways. And don't worry about the goth one. You can go ahead and kill her. She is nothing but a pain in my ass." Boris would say as he began his descent into the caves after the two.
