Snap Back To Reality

Feeling her senses coming back to her. Aurella would begin to notice the entire army of bugs that were currently surrounding her and Luna. She would begin to notice Luna looking at her with a look of pure shock.

"Your bright hair suddenly turned dark. Is that normal for vampires who suddenly heal deep injuries?" She would ask as she just kept her eyes on where there was now a scar.

It came to a surprise to her, that not only did the scar heal in her subconscious, it healed in reality as well. That woman must have been telling the truth after all. Glancing to the bugs that were beginning to move closer to the two. Aurella would hold up her hand in their direction. Feeling the magical energy she wielded flow to her finger tips almost immediately. She would begin to feel the heat before seeing a small ball of flames form in her hand, before quickly beginning to grow steadily bigger. Before she just let free a bright ball of flames towards the bugs. Catching a good deal of them by surprise before being incinerated and taken off of the mortal coil. And back to wherever they had came from.

"Color the Luna surprised! You can use your magic after all can't you Aurella?! Burn those nasty bugsies up!" Luna would yell her shock going to a tone of hope. They were really going to get out of there in one piece after all. It was almost enough to make her cry. But she had to look tough, for if she showed any sign of weakness. Luna would begin to suspect some foul play to come from it. Luna knows the kind of people that exist in the world. And they know exactly what she means.

Aurella would begin to laugh from the surprise of it all. She was actually casting a spell. And it was no pathetic version of the spell. No. It was a full powered version that didn't even take much out of her. "Holy crap...I am actually casting spells...Without any trouble. This is amazing!" She would yell her smile going ear to ear. She felt truly happy that she could actually cast a single spell. She wasn't useless after all. Or at least for what it seemed.

Smiling at Luna she would throw her arms around her in a huge hug. "This is amazing!" She would yell happily.

Julian and his group would continue running through the surface, and continuing upon trying to race against the suns light. For if they were to continue on their current path. They would inevitably be burnt alive. And it wasn't a way they were wanting to leave the planet. They needed to hurry through to the surface.

"We won't be able to make it in time!" He would yell as a obviously manmade cave mouth began to make its way into view. They weren't all that far away from it with the rate that they were running. But they wouldn't be able to make it in time with the rate that the sun was beginning to crest over the horizon. There had to be something for them to do in order to move faster. Cuz if they couldn't they were screwed.

"There seems to be a shack nearby!" Myst would yell pointing to a wooden shack that was closer to them than the cave mouth itself was. "We can hide out there until the sun goes down, and formulate a plan in the process!"

Feeling his aggravation begin to set in. Julius knew it was the better play to make. Rather than sacrificing their lives to not even make it to the cave mouth at all. He needed to save his sister, and he couldn't do it if he was dead.

"Fine we can stay there and formulate a plan in order to save my sister. We can't just waste time sitting there and twiddling our thumbs." He would say with a low growl as they began to veer off from running straight for the cave entrance. And began to make their way to the shack.

Myst would glance to the rising sun noticing the rays beginning to bolden and the luminescence began to brighten around them. Each of the young vampires skins were beginning to heat up. Not in the comforting way. But in the painful flesh melting way. As smoke began to flow from their skin.

Even with them being layered in protective clothing. It could only do so much for them with being able to withstand even the tiniest rays of sunlight. For the sunlight was a sure fire way to kill a vampire. And through history it was one of the common ways that vampires were killed by hunters. That and wooden stakes tipped with silver.

Though it still perplexed even the strongest of vampires that currently were alive, and even put a decent amount of their time into researching such a thing. They couldn't figure out why sunlight was exactly so dangerous to a vampire. No matter how powerful they were.

Gritting his teeth. Julian would take a deep breath before muttering a spell under his breath as they ran. Before slamming both of his hands together and spreading them in a long arch. As a fog began to billow into existence. Dispersing the light particles enough to stop a decent chunk of the burning that they were feeling. The fog wouldn't last long, for it would begin to burn the more intense the sunlight became.

"We are almost there Julian! Keep the fog up for as long as you can!" Maurice would yell beginning to push herself to run ahead of the small group. She would find enough purchase in the loose grass and top soil to allow her to run ahead even by just a foot or two. But enough to manage to get to the door of the shack before the others.

Her eyes would widen upon catching a glimpse of the state of the shack. It was littered with enough holes to be labeled for certain a death trap for any vampire that would go within it. Thinking quickly she would open the shack to allow for the others to enter. Before stripping of her clothes. Down to her undergarments, and beginning to put them up on some of the many holes that there were. Covering up the sunlight that was beginning to pour through.

Julian and Myst noticing this, would begin to follow suit. Not taking the time to be embarrassed by the sight of each other practically nude once more. After having enough of the holes covered up they would each take a collective breath before sitting on the rough wooden floor. And looking away from each other as to not catch a unwarranted glance.
