The Devil In White 2

Staring in stunned silence at the sight she had just seen. Myst struggled to wrap her head around the strength that she showed. Aurella. The young girl that she knew, had no capabilities like this. Not as far as she was aware of anyways.

Yet she was using magic on a level that Myst only saw a small hand full of times. And that was only through demonstrations hosted by the Elites. Aurella was far different from the girl she knew. From the girl who wouldn't even think to harm another individual. Yet here she was, using magic, and defending herself as if her life depended on it. Which at this point, it very much did.

With the demon appearing behind her with a staggered speed. It would raise its clawed hand to strike down the girl who had sent lightning through its body. Before even thinking about it. Myst was on the move and lunging at the demon, letting loose a throwing knife at it. Catching it in the middle of its clawed hand.

Letting out a screech of pain the demon would take notice of the white haired woman charging at it. With a look in her eyes that would freeze anything mortal in place. But that wasn't a case for the demon. For it wasn't afraid of anything that a mortal could do to it. Especially one that was a demi-demon.

But before it could make a move towards the woman charging at it. it was met with the flames once more. Flames that crawled over its skin like many tiny spiders, as the flames began to engulf it. Causing it to let out spine shaking shriek. As it began to almost teleport all over the cavern room trying to use the speed that it was moving at to put out the flames.

Seeing the opening present itself. Maurice would rush over to the girl who was surrounded by a pool of her own blood.

Leaning over the girl she would pull back her eyelid to look into one of her eyes to see the dazed and fading look within them. She was fading quick.

Taking her hand into her own. Maurice would gently pat the girls face to get some form of reaction from her. Other than the look of death.

"Come on sweetie, you need to stay here with me. Can you do that for me?" Maurice would ask in a rather calm tone. As calm as she could be with a literal spawn of hell moving around her like the Tasmanian devil.

Moving her head ever so slightly Luna would look up to Maurice, her dazed look turning into a look of cold fear beginning to settle into her eyes. As she began to take notice of the woman who was sitting over her. Worry be obvious in her gaze.

Recognition. Good that meant she still had enough blood in her to be able to form a cognitive thought. And it wasn't something that was going to last either.

"I am going to cauterize the injury. And it is going to hurt a lot, but only for just a moment." She would say to the girl in a low tone. Ducking as the demon forced its way only mere inches away from her. "Are you ready?"

"T....he....The Lun.....a....is...r.....ready" The girl would mutter weakly. Forming a weak smile to the nice woman above her. She looked nice, and held a caring look within her eyes. She liked this person, especially if she knew Aurella. Then they were definitely good friends.

Though any rational thought that she had was quickly cut off by searing pain. Causing her to cry out in pain that echoed through the caverns. The nauseous smell of burning flesh wafting up to her nostrils forcing bile to slowly rise up from her stomach. The pain was beginning to quickly dull, her vision going from blurring, to slowly beginning to black out. The painful sensation beginning to turn cold. A sensation that was colder than ice itself.

Wanting to reach out to the girl next to her. To move. To make her body respond in some sort of way. To make the cold go away. To not feel tired.

Noticing the girl beginning to lose lucidity, and losing core functions. Maurice would feel panic begin to form within her as she looked at everything available to them. There was only one option that she had before her. And it was typically a last resort. Especially for her to perform it.

Yet seeing no way around it. She would pull out a knife running it against her wrist gritting her teeth as pain flowed from the injury, and down her arm. Placing her now bleeding wrist over the girls mouth. Forcing her blood to drip into the girls open mouth. wincing as she felt it begin to flow. This was probably the dumbest thing that she could've done. But it was the only thing she could think of. It had always been preached to her by many of the elder vampires around her that the blood was connected to ones soul. Or what was left of it after several centuries. And there was always the risk of ones soul polluting another whenever they let their blood be drunk by another vampire. It was always something she feared doing, and only did it in case of emergencies. And this was something that constituted as a emergency.

Glancing to the two Myst would quickly switch her attention back to the demon that continued to move like a character from a anime. Trying to see some kind of tell it had before it would move from one spot to another. The only thing she could tell was a small surge of magic before it moved from one spot to another. It was like trying to see something that wasn't there. Taking a deep breath Myst would ready another knife. Looking around for the next spot it would appear in. Waiting for just the right moment before sending the blade flying in the direction. It was about time to do some serious damage to this thing. For the kids gloves were coming off.
