Regroup Part 2

Julian and Myst slowly made their way down the hall. Leaning against each other as their injuries slowly began to take a further toll on their bodies. This wasn't the first time that either of them had been hurt to such a extent by any means. It was however the first time they had been hurt to such a extent by other vampires. Outside of training anyway.

"I feel like it is going to be necessary for us to drink a healthy dose when we get back." Julian would say wincing as he walked. One thing he wished that he had done effectively was read his opponent better. If he had done that, he may have been able to better dodge the attacks thrown his way. Thus reducing the amount of damage that he took.

"I agree with you on that one Julian." Myst would second that motion. "And a soothing bath. "

Biting his lip. Julian couldn't help except for the image of Myst naked before him flashing into his mind. This wasn't the time or the place for such a thought. But here he was having it like a hormonal teenager.

"You okay?" Myst would ask gently feeling his forehead. Her soft skin lighting more of a fire within him.

Don't let the thoughts consume you. Not here. And definitely not like this.

Yeah so much for those words of wisdom thoughts in my head. They didn't help when the source of his temptation was leaning right up against him.

"Yeah...I'm fine. How about you though? Are you fine?" Julian asked. Now that he was free to worry about another. He wasn't about to forget how shaken up she had looked before they left on their crazy rescue mission. Out running the sun and all.

"Besides the beating I took?" Myst would ask hesitantly. Hoping it wasn't going the direction she thought it was. Because honestly, she didn't have the energy to discuss it. Or more accurately. Avoid telling the truth of the matter.

The memories she fought against. Still swam fresh in her mind. Threatening to break her if she allowed the cracks to be found.

"About before we left. " Julian would respond. Adding to the fear she felt on the matter.

Why now? Why did he have to bring it up when she was at her weakest? There was no denying the fact he cared about how she was holding up. But it alone. Threatened to break her composure.

"Let's not do this now Julian...please. " Myst all but begged. As she adverted her gaze from him. Something she did only when she was insecure about something.

Which for her. Was rare.

Nodding in silence. Julian decided to drop it. Feeling the turmoil that the thought dug up within her. He hadn't meant to cause her distress. He just truly wanted to know if she was okay.

But he knew better than to push the envelope. It was better to play the waiting game rather than make matters worse.

Glancing up ahead. Julian took notice of another opening that led into another cavern. This one with three female bodies. Two he recognized and one. He very much didn't.

"Aurella! Maurice! How are you two holding up?!" Julian would yell garnering the attention of the three. Earning a collective gasp from both Aurella and Maurice as they scrambled to their feet and hurried over. Each taking a injured body upon themselves.

"We're doing fine Julian." Aurella would respond. Her voice hoarse and strained as she took his weight upon himself. He was definitely heavier than he looked. His sleek build making it easy to be unprepaired for holding him up.

Julian's eyes would narrow as he took note that her dress was torn. Even with a cut at her abdomen.

"Are you hurt?" He would ask scanning over her body. For any major injuries. And to his surprise. She looked completely fine. How was that possible?

"I'm fine. Julian. You're should be more worried about how you're holding up. Considering you can barely walk" Aurella would say in a low tone. Seeing just how badly her brother had been beaten. "Did this happen to you two. Because you were coming to help me...?"

Hearing the pain in her voice. It was almost enough to crush him. He didn't know what to say. If he told her the truth. It would destroy her.

"No. I still had a rite to finish. Any of my injuries weren't because of you Aurella. And there is no guilt you should feel. We came because we wanted to make sure you were safe." Julian would say hoping to succeed in his attempt to make her feel less guilt.

Aurella opened her mouth to speak. Only to be interrupted by the sound of loud knocking.

Looking up. Everyone would see Luna knocking on the wooden door with the Morave family crest laden upon it.

Everyone stared in horror as they listened to her repeatedly knock upon it. With a child like rhythm.

"Hello people on the otherside of the door! The Luna hopes you hears us!" Luna would yell loudly. Her voice echoing through the cavern. Her insistent knocking continuing to ring out. Only for the door to give in. Causing Luna to jump back in shock. "Ah! The Luna is sorry for angering the other peoples!"

The person on the otherside of the door. Was no other than Marcus. His black hair sleek with sweat as he stared at Luna. Then to the others as realization played at his eyes.

"Holy shit. We got wounded!" Marcus would yell as he pried the door open farther allowing for them to walk through it. And then immediately swarmed by a crowd of people. Enough to lift the four vampires off of the ground. And the only one to naturally resist being Julian.

"I am not some helpless puppy!" Julian would growl as he was lifted and carried away from the infirmary. "Put me down!"

"We can't put you down Julian! Now quit your whining!" Marcus would yell as he helped carry him to the infirmary.

Watching as the crowd of vampires led four people towards the infirmary. Julius would stare in awe at the sight. Before allowing a small smile to play at his lips. Before earning a confused stare from Draven.

"What's that smile for Julius? What are you plotting?" Draven would ask. His voice matching the look.

"Nothing. Just being a proud father. Knowing what my children are capable of" Julius would say a proud tone coating his voice.
