Code Name WOLF

The doc came over the radio connected to my helmet "LT. report to the flight deck, you are being deployed. good luck soldier." I started to run towards the flight deck but then I remembered I have no idea where that is. I have only been here for 2 day and the only places I have been is the mess hall and my room, I just learned where the mechanic room was. I saw a few guys running out of the mess hall dressed in flight suits. "Hey are you going to the flight deck" I asked one of them. " yes sir, just follow us we will take you" said one of them. I wasn't sure why everyone kept saluting me and calling me sir, I am new here and just joined I have to ask the doc later.

We ran through the maze of hallways and eventually got to a pair of blast doors that were open wide enough for us to go through. The roar of jet engines, people yelling orders to one another. Before I had time to fully understand what was happening someone dressed in what looked like something a pilot would wear but they didn't have the oxygen mask. "Sir, your weapons are over there on the table." she said pointing to a large metal table by the wall. I jogged over to the table and grabbed the gun and extra mags. "Put the mags on your hip" the docs said over the coms. So I did and this small compartment opened and I was able to put all of my extra mags inside my suit.

Once I had all my gear I turned around and went to the closest jet. "Sir your with me" said one of rear gunners. I looked over to the jet I was getting on. It had the body of a fighter jet, but underneath was like a troop transport body. I jumped on and the plane shot out of the bay area, we didn't shoot out straight though, we went up right out of the ground. I looked out the gunners' door at the ground, we must have been a couple thousand feet in the air. Once we slowed down the pilot dipped the plane forward and we headed to the drop zone.

"Sir, we will be there in 2 hours, sit back and relax I will take care of the rest" the pilot told me over my com. "Hey doc, you there?" I was always curious if I could talk back, I had time to spare so I tried it. "yes I am LT. what can I do for you" it actually worked surprisingly. "Why does everyone keep saluting me and calling me Sir, I just got here" I asked. "It is because you are a spec ops soldier, so you automatically out rank all of them because you report straight to the higher ups and me." she said "You could be a private and you would still out rank them."

What she was saying made sense, it just felt wierd to have so many people saluting me and calling me sir. "Oh LT. I almost for got to tell you that you have an AI unit inside your suit." Wait I have what!! "You just have to activate it by saying Unit active." Oh now she tells me, I think. Unit Active I say, out of nowhere a voice starts talking to me from my helmet "Hello LT. Travis I am your AI, code named Wolf. Nice to meet you" Wow that is awesome.

"LT we are 2 miks from the drop zone"the pilot said over the coms. Mikes?? I thought, "Hey wolf what does 2 Mike's mean?" "It means that you will be there in 2 minutes." Ok I have 2 minutes left, and I have no idea what I am supposed to be doing. INCOMEING, I hear from the door gunner. *BOOM* Who ever was on the ground was shooting at us!! What is going on, "LT you have to jump out now"said wolf. "WHY, are you crazy"? I said. "If you dont you are gonna die, there is a missile heading towards us and we cant get out of the way" he said.

This is all so crazy I thought, I didn't want to just but I also didnt want to die. I grabbed my gun and jumped out of the back of the plane, I had been sky diving before so I had an idea of what I needed to do. This was different though I just jumped out of a plane with no parashoot, was being shot at, oh and I am wearing a 2 ton suit of armor plummeting straight towards the ground. "100 feet" said wolf "50 feet, LT. turn up right with your feet to the ground at 20 feet." I wasn't not sure how that was gonna help but he knew more about the suit then me, he was build into it after all.

"Now Lt" said wolf, I flipped straight up with my feet towards the ground. "Heads up LT I am initiating your landing rockets" Landing rockets since when did I have those I wondered. Wolf lit the rockets and we slowed down "Impact in 4,3,2,1" wolf said. *Thud* My feet hit the ground as the flames from my rockets blew up the dirt around. I must have looked like superman when I landed, my right fist was on the ground with my left knee on the ground too. "Wolf who else made it?" "we are the only ones from the whole platoon sir."

There was a whole platoon of soldiers wiped out! "Doc its Travis what am I supposed to be doing" I asked. "Just follow the rest of the platoon and you should be fine." She must not know what's going on then. "Me and Wolf are the only ones that made it, the whole Platoon is KIA" *Static* "Orders doc" I said, " LT your orders are to hold your position until reinforcements show up". "Rogger that" I said, " LT, enemy soldiers below the plateau have spotted us" warned wolf
