MARKET AND GIRRA-E

Enlil followed Astrid towards the heart of Anubia, as he did every night before her classes start. They fell into a routine whereby, after training Astrid, Enlil would walk over the market and then to her classes and Enlil would wait until she finishes her classes before they walked back to their house.

He just wanted to make sure, Astrid earned enough bones, (her words), so she can purchase weekly groceries and shop for girly items if required. When Enlil offered his money, she denied vehemently, saying she was already mooching off him with his training. Enlil merely smiled and shook his head at Astrid.

Enlil grew fond of Mrs Farrow, who seems to have a liking for Astrid. He kept in mind to call Ace for firearms training for Astrid on Thursdays and Fridays. Astrid had other plans. She secretly texted Girra to meet them up at the market to ease any discomfort between pop and her. She did not reply a confirmation, but she enquired their location. So far, so good.

The market whereby Astrid sold her goods was just around a red-light district. The market sold items such as souvenirs, fake designer goods, small electrical gadgets, knick-knacks and such. It was not the safest part of the city but with police lurking in the corner, it made Westwood Street less dangerous.

Astrid was bombarded with many requests and sales purchases on a particular Wednesday. It was like suddenly she was in demand. Judging from the smart suits and prim body languages of people or more like house butlers and maid, buying from her, she had a feeling the Wagner siblings had hand in promoting her product indirectly. She made a mental note to thank Abigail later.

Enlil sat at the back of the stall, brooding over the fact that he could not contact Girra. As she was busy attending her customers, a particularly striking lady came up to her. She had dark amber eyes that looked like molten lava and a voluptuous body. She was taller than Astrid, 5ft11inches with raven hair and high cheekbones. Her lips were the most striking feature, plump with a permeant pout.

`Hello', Girra spoke eyeing the products in Astrid's small stall.

`How can I be of help?', Astrid asked enthusiastically,

`Any creams or lotions for the broken-hearted?', she questioned raising an eyebrow and catching the attention of Enlil.

`What?', Astrid looked at her, stumped with an odd request.

`Girra!', Enlil circled the stall and stood beside her in a second. `What brings you here?'

`Oh, wow. You made it! I'm Astrid', Astrid held her hand out to shake it with Girra.

Girra shook her hands lightly and turned to look at Enlil. `I was invited to meet Astrid',

`I figured it would be less stressful to meet up in public before going home', Astrid beamed a smile.

`So, how have you been? You had dinner? Would you like to go somewhere?', Enlil realized that Astrid practically set them up and he grabbed the opportunity. He needed to thank her later. For now, he just wanted to savour this moment with the elusive Girra.

`Good, so let us get to the point, shall we? What are you doing here, in this shady part of town?', she turned to Astrid for answers.

`Just selling these items on part-time basis. And this part of the city has a wider customer base, so more revenue I guess', Astrid shrugged.

`Have you ever heard of me before, Astrid', Girra looked at Astrid and raised an eyebrow.

`No, I'm afraid never until recently', she mumbled.

`Well, your mom did a silly mistake trusting that no good vampire. And ruined her life in the process. I did not want to interfere with their lives, so I left', she spoke while crossing her arms.

Enlil cleared his throat and invited Girra again `Dinner?',

`Sure, why not for old time's sake', Girra motioned for Enlil to walk up ahead of her. `Aren't you coming?', she was surprised Astrid stayed back.

`No, I have to close the stall and finish up school later', Astrid smiled meekly.

`Did you set us up for a date?', Girra eyed Astrid with curiosity. She did set her up with Enlil. Smart girl.

`No, I will join you later once my classes finish. Have fun', Astrid waved to them.

Enlil chooses a restaurant serving Indian food, noting Girra loved her food spicy. He held the small of her back and guided her to the restaurant before pulling a chair for her to sit. Both ordered their meal and Girra excused herself to the toilet. Enlil smirked and slipped away from his chair to follow her quietly.

Girra applied a layer of her lipstick and washed her hands. She noted Enlil standing at the entrance of the toilet and her eyes widen in surprise.

`What are you-', he cut her short by swiftly pulling her into a toilet cubicle and slamming her back against the wall.

`Girra, I missed you', Enlil spoke huskily and slammed his lips against hers in a hungry fervour. He pressed his body and felt every inch of hers against his hard chest and packs. He gripped both her hands and slowly pushed his hips towards her in a grinding motion, earning a moan from her and he pushed his tongue inside her mouth, feeling every inch of hers seductively.

Girra let go of his grip and circled her hands behind his neck, aligning it to deepen their kiss. He gripped her thighs and lifted her up, pushing her dress up in the process and locked her legs around his waist.

`Fuck', Enlil cursed at his hard member pulsing against his pants and he panted, resting his forehead on her shoulder, nibbling her skin hard. Girra slides her hand behind his dreadlocks and pulled. Enlil started kissing her along her jawline and moved to her earlobe, using his teeth to pull her earlobe. Girra was a mess in his arms, just the way he wanted.

`You jerk', Girra took deep breaths to steady her racing heartbeat.

`Only for you,' Enlil kissed her softly on her lips and smirked.

`I'm hungry', he gently put her down and kissed her forehead before both straightened their clothes and left the washroom.

Enlil stared at her the entire meal, and she blushed under his heated eyes. She knew well both had feelings for each other. Their love was eternal. But her heart could not fathom the fact he did not want to settle down when many Gods out there did. Girra decided to let it pass for now and enjoy their time together. She had a lot to catch up, having missed many years of being with them.

He paid their meal, and both decided to walk to a park just to kill time and wait up for Astrid. Enlil intertwined their hands together and kissed the back of her palms. He chooses a secluded bench to sit and pulled her into his lap. He did not wait for her to speak but started kissing her passionately, earning a disgusting glare from passer-by and hoots from youngsters.

One of his hands held her waist tightly and another hand gripped her thigh. He made sure she fit him snugly, leaving no space between their bodies. They kissed and stopped to take a breather in between. Enlil made sure his attention was undivided and focused solely on her.

`Enlil, stop', she was breathing heavily and placed her hands on his warm chest.

`Mmmmmm', he nuzzled her neck and rested his head on her shoulder, placing a kiss every now and then along her collarbone and below her jaw.

`What time does Astrid finish her classes?', she enquired.

`We still have 40 minutes to go', he mumbled in between kissing her.

`Let me rest awhile, Enlil. I travelled far', Girra looked into his glassy eyes and waited until he nodded. Enlil adjusted her on his lap, on the bench and held her head against his heart. He massaged her waist and gently kneaded her hands, earning a sigh of contentment from her before she closed her eyes to nap.

Enlil kissed her forehead and whispered `I still love you, babe'.
