Old Friends

Upon reaching what looked to be an old door frame Saturn froze in place as the memories came flooding back to him, all those childhood shenanigans that took place here all leading up to that horrid day where his life changed forever. Shaking his head trying to clear him self of these toxic memories he took a deep breath and motioned Amber forward with his hand, as he stepped past the frame and headed towards the center of the ruins he keep his gaze locked on the structure in the middle of the ruins. A little hesitant Amber approached her grandfather who stood before what looked to be the remains of a giant circle, upon closer inspection she could see that symbols ran the perimeter of what was left of the circle. Some more visible while others being incomplete due to the destruction of the original object.

"This was once a portal that lead to another world parallel of ours but it's broken now," Saturn said his gazed fixated on the portal. "Sorta like a broken mirror the land there was shattered and lifeless lacking no color just barren and endless scattered here and there with floating chunks of land."

"W-what," puzzled and scared Amber exchanged quick glance between Saturn and the portal, "I h-have so many questions."

Saturn rest his hand on her shoulder and let out a long sigh, "I wish I could give you the answers you seek, but now is not the time." saying this he reached into his pocket and pulled out a piece of white. Torn and faded due to time, it seemed to be from a glove that a man of wealth would wear.

"were here to most likely make more questions than answers." he said with a tired chuckle, "Do you have that necklace still on you Amber?" he questioned as he placed the piece cloth on top of what used to be the entrance of the portal.

"Y-yea here grandpa," Amber fumbled in her pocket til she pulled out the broken remains of the necklace, "W-what are you going to do with a piece of cloth and this broken necklace?"

"Were bringing Salkie to our world," Saturn stated as he placed the necklace on top of the cloth, "Now what ever happens here don't run I'm casting a circle to protect the outside world from Salkie when we summon him." he stated drawing a circle around them in the ash like dirt. "Alright i'm gonna say the incantations to summon Salkie you ready?" he asked Amber while pulling the map again.

"Y-yes grandpa I'm ready." Amber stammered as she tried to keep calm on the outside but inside she was having a total panic attack *bring Salkie here to us, but what if it escapes or worse makes me hurt grandpa.* she screamed this inside her head but it did nothing to change what was happening before her it was to late to back out now.

"Ok now let me just," Saturn says as he pulls out his lighter and lights the map ablaze. "There we go," he state's.

Like a starved dog the flame leaped and make quick use of the paper, as the flame burned the paper it left a black like hide in its wake. Amber now fully bewildered by the trick notices that letters were inscribed in the hide witch was then fallowed by her grandfather reading them aloud in a chanting like fashion. As Saturn chanted these words his eyes started to glow a light purple and black like roots covered his body starting from his lips.

"Wind sour and cold, Sun tared black with pain, Water run thick as ink, Souls trapped forever in the broken realm, Bring forth the vessel that survived it all, The one promised to bring forth a new world but was corrupted by greed and desire, Bring me the one called Salkie," Once finished chanting the hide turned to a black goo and fell to the ground with a loud *SPLOOT*

The cloth stared to twist and turn as it started to levitate before slowly growing into a white glove fallowed by an eye appearing sewed into the glove, it looked at both Saturn and Amber.

"Well Well Well what is this I spy with my little eye," A voice boomed seeming to come from the glove. "Let me get in a more comfortable form," It stated as the glove seemed to twist and tear and sprout black root like appendages that reached out and stuck into the black goop absorbing it til there was non left. Once finished it retracted the roots and started to morph and grow til before them stood a slender figure of a well dressed man. It had everything except it was missing a neck and arms instead it just had the head and two white gloves floating in their respected spots like they were attached. "Ahh there we go that's more like it," It said chuckling, "Ya know how long its been since I've been in a physical form.... let me answer that for ya to long ha" It said laughing while it wipes a tear away from its face.

Amber stared in awe both filled with fear and amazement at what she was seeing unfold before here very eyes. The things facial features resemble one of a shallow pale middle age man it had jagged teeth like a shark, half of its face was covered by what looked to be a blob of black tar that seemed to represent hair on its head. But the most terrifying feature of them all was its one visible eye assuming that the other was underneath the hair, it was a cat like eye with a purple for its coloring and under the eye were two black lines that curved outward from each other and stopping fallowed bye two black dots.

"Saturn nice to see you again," It said leaning forward. "I've missed you so much why don't we spend time together anymore." it whined.

"Salkie you know why were here," Saturn stated his word cold and sharp as daggers. "I'm ready to make a deal with you,"

"Awe your no fun anymore," Salkie said rolling its eye. "But i guess with age come more business hmmm," it said grinning. "So whats the deal."

Saturn cleared his through, "Its come to my knowledge that you have been tormenting my grand daughter Salkie and I won't allow it."

"Oh Saturn has a heart now i see," Salkie chuckled "well then what do you have to offer me hmm."
