~ Being the Decision Maker - 3 ~

The lessons were taught halfheartedly, but the training was over as the day turned to night, and Sora took to leaving for his dorm room.

On the way, he absently spared a glance at the entrance of the dorm, which had a huge crowd gathering around it. The number of students multiplying and some even rushing to see what the situation was.

Perturbed, Sora quickly sped up his steps as the robes fluttered on his body, the strong gust of wind picking up under a hint of influence, which Sora was quick to analyse.

Someone was about to fight, and their strong core energy was disrupting the amassing pressure, in return influencing the elements like air and nature.

"What is going on here?" Sora asked as soon as his voice reached the crowd, who were startled when they saw him, parting the way for the center, but not speaking.

Sora turned serious, darting in as his eyes landed upon two struggling students, one was wearing dark shade of uniform and the other was sporting the light grey and white.

It was a petty fight of arms, yet the situation didn't look simple, since two tall figure on the side, both of them evening scholars, stood watching the scene with delight on their faces, and a young woman with orange shade of hair stood on the other side, crying and sobbing.

"Stop this at once, both of you!" Sora found his voice, immediately issuing the order, but only facing a refusal as the boys never stopped, instead, their brawl got worse.

Angry now, at being ignored, Sora whispered a chant as his aura flared in the entire area, the heavy presence shooing the crowd of onlookers away as they stared back with wide eyes, noticing the boys who were now facing Sora with harsh frowns.

"Did you both not hear what I said?" Sora compromised for a show, as his head leaned up and his eyes looked down at the petty boys, the blue color of his orbs sharp and unwavering.

"And you are?" The one in the white and grey shouted back, his face almost red, as the ginger hair matched it. "He made a pass at my sister, he needs to be put in place."

Sora was feeling like he got himself into quite a mess and this time he would have to be the decision maker, which wasn't easy. "Sister, want to say something on the matter?" He knew well that it wouldn't be just that, because how rare of evening scholars to make a pass at a girl near the dorms.

Something didn't seem to fit.

"B-Brother shouldn't have a-attacked, I am sorry," the girl bowed, her nose sniffling with how much she was crying. "I am s-sorry."

"You shut up... foolish girl!" the brother scolded, not caring if he was being miserable in front of many onlookers, "He kissed you. He. Kissed. You. That is just like pissing on my name!"

Gasps were heard all around and Sora almost rolled his eyes, it was easy to tell that the girl and the evening scholar were in love, or something close to it, so it wasn't that much of a shock.

"What do you have to say?" Sora asked the other party, clearly not in the mood to care more about them.

But the other party only snickered, getting up and walking back to stand with his comrades, "I did nothing bad, the girl was asking for it."

"Huh?" Sora's head was filled with doubts, wasn't it love...?

"The girl confessed to me, so I kissed her, what is so bad about it? The only odd ball is that brother of hers, the ginger bread."

Sora looked back and he could now see the girl's ashamed expression, so he understood what had happened, the girl must have confessed when her brother found out, and started to go on a rampage... must have also insulted the evening scholar and a good old fight broke out because of it. "But why are you three here? I do not understand that." Sora asked the three evening scholars, his eyebrows furrowed.

The evening scholars were unnerving, and stared too hard at Sora when questioned, but Sora was just trying to know the reason, he was trying to not create a scene there.

"We came here in response to her letter, our brother wanted to give her an answer." The tallest one confessed, very nonchalant about it.

But Sora was counting the number of headache potions he had to take after all this was over, "You," he turned to the brother, who was still crouching on the ground, as if baring fangs. "Why did you take it so far, couldn't you have settled it peacefully? All you had to do was talk like civilized men do."

"President!" the brother exclaimed, "How can you say that? If you ever had a sister and you ever saw her kiss another devil, of course you would get angry!"

"But she confessed?" Sora asked genuinely bored, looking at the girl who looked like she was trying to find a rock to hide under. And even after Sora's straight remark, she did not yield to any speeches, nor any emotion which could close up the case.

Simply annoyed with the whole situation, Sora looked back at the so called 'devil' and asked, "Do you want her?"

"I agreed to pamper her," he said, which was odd but definitely an answer for Sora, so taking it for what it was, he eyed the girl, raising an eyebrow in question, but not expecting her to actually shy away and say a simple 'no'.

The conflicting answers were now giving the president a major migraine, "But didn't you confess to him, why would you not want him anymore? Because of your brother?"

She did not reply for long, but when Sora was about to bark at her, she gave in, "I wanted him, but he attacked my brother even when I asked him not to, and also... I don't think he has any feelings for me."

Sora was not beyond pitying someone, however he also realized that the answer was already there. The girl must have realized some major feelings and ended up making a decision which contradicted her own emotions. "So this is over then."

"It isn't!" the other party involved suddenly spoke up, and Sora was close to lashing out, his voice though remained humble, "Might I know why?" he asked carefully.

"She did all this, and now she wants to step back? When I even went into the hassle of getting the permission for her."

The point made suddenly turned the entire situation into a chaos as the brother of the girl barked in laughter and the girl herself looked shocked. Sora wasn't good with relationships, but he as well as the others knew what it meant.

A permission was taken by the evening scholars when they wanted to sincerely marry their partner, or date them. It was given by the most superior person in their circle of students, who commanded them or organized for them. And Sora was well aware of who was the commander. It was Jeha, who else it would be. This was the first time he was aware of a couple who weren't in a fickle relationship.

Sora stared at the angry party and the two other goons behind him, all of them were good looking, but also very aloof, yet they also didn't seem like just any evening scholar, the hint of strong aura around them wasn't hard for Sora to understand, now that he was more involved with the situation.

"You still refuse?" he asked the girl who was still in shock.
