~ Being the Decision Maker - 4 ~

"Misa," her brother turned to her, his eyes wide as he took in her silence, even the onlookers were expecting something, and it didn't matter what it was, since whatever the answer would be, it would result into a big mess.

Sora hadn't know the evening scholar was serious before, but if he had taken permission, then he must be. So regaining his focus, he calmed himself, "Sister Misa," he asked gently, trying to test the waters, "what is your answer now, apparently he seems to be serious about you."

Listening to the words, the girl started to cry, "I never imagined... imagined that he would be serious," she looked at her lover boy with teary eye, "why didn't you say you liked me as well, hasn't it been two years already?"

Sora watched the drama unfold as the boy sighed, shockingly mellow, "I courted you until now and yet you don't know?"

"H-How can this be?" the brother seemed angry as his nostrils flared, almost seething, "he was courting you? And you didn't tell me?"

Misa started to cry, almost flinching when she saw the look on her brother's face, "I love Ginten," she pressed, "why can't you just approve of us brother, I don't want to fight with you, but you are always so strict, just like father, you don't see my heart."

"What heart? You are just a wench!"

Sora did not like the verbal abuse that was happening right in front of his eyes, so he stepped in without hesitation... well only to be left behind by the angry yell of 'Ginten', who was determined to save his lover, 'Misa' from the backlash. "You call yourself her brother, you are nothing but an abuser."

"Me?" the brother yelled right back, "I practically raised her! The likes of you shouldn't be around her, all of you evening scholars are nothing but a bunch of misfits."

Sora agreed that they were misfits, and that most families wouldn't want their members to associate with the evening creatures, however the world was changing and if the girl wanted the boy and the boy wanted the girl, there was no harm in challenging the system. Although, Sora couldn't be sure what their future would be like, and if they were really as genuine as they seemed in the current situation.

"Now, ahem, you all, please go back to your respective places, don't crowd," Sora announced, clearing away the onlookers who looked too reluctant to leave, although they did move after receiving the glare, "and you all resolve this issue right now, or else I will make the decision for you."

"And who are you to make the decision," the angry brother asked, his ears almost fuming.

Sora returned it with a frosty smile, which everyone around him felt, the threat hanging on their neck, "I am the president, I pass the judgement when it is a matter of discord. So don't make me angry, I am too tired for that."

After the threat, the situation calmed down and the reality was set, the result was still not conclusive, however it would be resolved after more civilized talks among the members.

Sora didn't want to get involved so he took his leave, but not before the man Ginten, called him for a small conversation. The other taller two standing right behind him. "Jeha has a message for you."

Sora tensed immediately, which they noticed right away, even if the reaction was much more subtle to see. "What message?"

"He asked you to visit him again."

Coughing, Sora almost barfed in reply, "Not a chance, he is bad with receiving guests," he remarked, remembering the forced kiss.

"Well he knew you would say that, so he said you should return his gift."

Now Sora grit his teeth, his anger messing with his brain and resulting his veins into popping, "Well... tell that shitty person that if he wants to get it back, he would have to come down from his highness' pedestal and find me on the ground, because I love the dirt, those royal lounges weren't to my taste."

Ginten coughed, as the other two snickered in the back, now highly amused, "If you want he can built a dirt castle, since it looks like they are a new trend around your people."

Sora's eyes twitched, but the cold glare he gave them, also alarmed them, since they did not expect his aura to be so threatening, "Don't piss me off, tell him he performed badly, that would be a good gift for the likes of him."

Sora knew it was childish to insult one's art of kissing, but he wouldn't dare to throw praises in there, it would go against his entire being. And insulting Jeha so freely, now that he had a concrete reason for it, assured his nerves.

Ginten and the other two watched as Sora left them, his broad strides as refined as ever.

Not long after Jeha got back the response, his laughter resounded in the corridors, as he threw his head back and laughed, almost entertained to his deepest delights. "Bad performer he says, well Mr. President is right, I would have to work hard for him."

Ginten snickered along with the others, "But I have to say, you chose well Master Jeha."

Jeha hummed, "Of course I did, if not him, no one else would do."
