~ Self dependency is grueling - 3 ~

Stiffened up like a rock, Sora basically felt like escaping the library, his lips tingling and his senses heightened.

He could somehow smell the dark and alluring scent of Jeha and see very clearly how good he looked in black slacks and black shirt, a medium sized robe hanging loosely from his shoulder. He was fit, and his presence had a hint of subtle grace. The feeling one got on watching him was chaotic, like when you would see a prince in real life, and notice how the demeanor and the mannerism rivalled some immortal, who was detached from all earthly possessions, and was far away from your reach.

Sora was really shocked to feel that way, as if he couldn't stand next to this person for he might sully this person's image.

Shaking his head again, Sora paled, when he realized how unlucky he was in meeting someone like Jeha, in the dark, in some rarely visited corner of the library, when he hadn't even found his manual yet.

Urging himself to not pay attention, Sora turned to look for the section 0198, which was thankfully... the same one Jeha was standing against.

Haha, what a coincidence.

Sora cursed his fate as he inched closer to the kiss stealer, composing his body to strengthen up. Because when facing Jeha, his only goal was to avoid this person, avoid until even hearing the name hurt his heart.

"Can you move a little please?" Sora voiced, standing behind the tall man who really was taller than Sora himself. His hair was even darker in such dim setting, however somehow his skin still looked pale.

"I am not sure Mr. President is allowed to enter this facility so late at night."

Sora frowned, as Jeha continued to stand by the book rack, looking up and down as if searching for something. Sora impatiently pouted, "I can help you look for your material, but for now let me search for mine, I know what I am looking for."

"Oh?" Jeha turned, giving Sora a single glance and turning back around, what he didn't know was that one glance of his had Sora sweating with nerves, because that glance seemed to have a physical force of its own. "What I am looking for, you can't possibly find it, it is a rare material which is only visible to evening scholars."

Sora shrugged in his mind, if this person really did not want his help, then he would just stand right next and search for his own material.

So not wasting time he stepped forward and right next to the young man, not caring that their shoulders were practically touching each other's. His impatience and anxiety made him disregard the danger he was entering upon.

Jeha did halt his whole body when he felt Sora jumping in to search through, yet only a simple smile curved on his lips, otherwise he wasn't in a hurry to make big reactions out of nothing. "What are you looking for?" he asked.

Sora hummed, placing his eyes on every book spine which he could see, "It is a manual."

"What kind?"

"Why, you will help me search it?"

"Why not?" Jeha smiled, watching as his reply made Sora look at him with a soft scowl.

"You wouldn't do something idiotic like the last time?"

Jeha raised his eye brow, "Was that what you are expecting from me?"

Sora glared, "Not at all," his teeth grinded, "you are the one who was rude. And even send that messenger of yours to make an ugly request."

Jeha whistled, "I like your look when you are mad, but sorry if I seemed to be that kind of person, I just appreciate beauty in my own way."

"... right."

After that the two of them did not make any move to speak, as their eyes searched through the rack for their own material. Most materials were mixed up, since no librarian took to organizing the books, only once a week would some student from the student council come here to manage the books in their free time. So many materials were mixed up and students had to invest a lot of time in searching through.

It wasn't as if the sect did not have any money to hire labor and work force, however Sora had heard that their main librarian had gotten hurt last year, and for whatever reason, even until now the sect hadn't managed to hire back any replacement. Sora was also well aware that many books were missing from their original places, but the coding system on the books helped the authority to catch the thieves if they ever tried to take away the book in their trunks and bags. So stealing any material was basically impossible for any student.

Not even a minute had passed, when Sora finally managed to find his manual, and to his surprise, both the materials he was searching for were placed together right below.

One had a brown cover, while the other one was white.

Happy to finally have the manuals, Sora quickly picked out the materials and flipped through the pages in excitement. When he saw what the manual was about, he was thankful to Rizel for being such a good friend.

"Doesn't your master give you material himself?" Jeha suddenly asked, and his lips were close enough to Sora's ear for Sora to feel the hot air lingering on his skin, "Unlike the others you don't have to go through the library for such stuff."

Sora felt embarrassed, he clearly knew what Jeha was talking about, since unlike the other outer disciples, students like him had the privilege to receiving materials directly from their master, and they did not have to get anxious for anything else. The master themselves were responsible for their disciple, that was the benefit that students like Sora received. Yet who would tell Jeha of how evil Sora's master was to him.

"I was just curious."

Jeha didn't look like he believed him, but he nodded anyway, "You are an enchanter, for people like you both the manuals you have picked up are useless, if you really want to win then you need to only focus on what your master teaches you."

"But aren't these manuals for enchanters?" Sora asked, intrigued and baffled at the same time.

Jeha chuckled, "They are, but your constituent is different, you cannot achieve the highest degree of control when practicing these two techniques. They are bound to lash out on you."

Sora huffed, "And how would you know what my constituent is."

Jeha looked innocently, "I remember scanning your entire body previously, of course I know what I am talking about. Your core is unstable."

Scanning... Sora immediately pushed Jeha back, his anger surfacing with each count, "How dare you scan me, you bastard!"

That kiss Jeha gave wasn't just for entertainment, Sora might have not known at that time, but Jeha gave his entire body a scan, he saw his constituent, his core, his soul and even managed to find out something interesting.

"Only a hybrid's core is this unstable, Mr. President, you aren't simply an enchanter are you?"

Sora was enraged, as he tried punching Jeha, even if he failed in doing so, his wrist got caught before he even had the hit. "How dare you scan me, only a soul partner has that right!"

Soul partners were nothing more than just partners, the husband and wife could scan each other if they desired so. For other than that, scanning a body for its soul, constituent and even core, was forbidden. Even during testing, only the core type was analyzed, to see whether the body held light energy core or dark energy core.

"I will report you this time," Sora muttered, his body shaking with anger, because not only was scanning a very intimate matter, but it was also very dangerous to let others know about one's own body. The secret of the body if revealed, might even endanger the one whose secret was revealed.

"You are mistaken, I did not scan you because I wanted to."

Sora stiffened, his fist tightening to attack again, "What are you saying."

"Your body invited my conscience, if not for your pull, I wouldn't have done so or even revealed this to you."

"So you are saying I am at fault?" Sora ridiculed, "You are just saying crap."

Jeha smirked, "I am not, I really am not."

"You are so cheap blaming me for your own initiative!" Sora's voice reached a higher octave as he glared incessantly at the culprit. The said culprit who was almost on the verge of laughing.
