~ Self dependency is grueling - 4 ~

"I apologize, but I did not take the initiative to scan you because I wanted to, rather it was by mistake. You core is a light energy core, and mine is the opposite, it attracted me and unknowingly I ended up scanning you."

"Shut up, you are a liar."

"What can I do to make up for it? And I am not lying, I really did it by mistake."

Sora laughed in anger, "You think I will believe that, you searched through my ENTIRE body, and you say you did not do it willingly. A whole pile of crap what it is."

Jeha's innocent pleading look immediately turned into a conniving one when he thought his acting was useless, as he stared at Sora with a wide grin, "You got me, but I am still sorry, I wanted to peak deeper, but your energy is really violent whe-"

A loud slap echoed in the hall as Jeha's face sported a solid red mark, "You disgust me," Sora bit out, his entire body boiling with rage.

The time seemed to have stopped as Jeha stood still, even Sora had no inclination to move away, he wasn't done, "Do you even know what you did? Without my permission you SCANNED me, ME! Sex might not even compare to how intimate scanning is, how can you do it? How can you be so shameless?!"

Jeha started to shake, but not with anger, instead he was laughing as he looked back at Sora with a vile smile, "Your core is more volatile than before, how beautiful."

"...you!!"

But before Sora could make a move, Jeha snatched his wrists, and pinned him to the aisle section, his broader frame hovering over the shorter body with a glint of darkness in his eyes. "If given time, I would even have dived deeper into your consciousness, deep enough to reach your soul, deep enough to make love to you right in your consciousness."

"You are crazy," Sora spat, glaring at the male before him. He never thought the demon boy would be this cheap. "Let me go." What reason did Jeha have even to target Sora like this? Sora did not know.

"I will let you go," he grinned, "but let's make a contract, where I will keep your secret and you won't fault me for my impudence."

Sora was very confused, he couldn't understand why anyone would make contract for such things, and wouldn't that contract mean that Jeha would win? He would know his secret but Sora couldn't even fault him for that?

"That is ridiculous."

"I am sorry, your whole person is just so enticing. Mr. President, I will keep my promise and not bother you, I will really cherish our contract."

Sora laughed and shook his head, "I am not a fool, only one side would win in this contract, we both know it."

"Then?"

"Then how about I make a contract with you, I will even forgive you for what you did."

Jeha was surprised, and in awe, "What do you prefer, do you want to scan me as well?"

Sora smiled as his heart burned under the questioning and eager gaze of Jeha, his mind working at a rapid pace, "I will make use of your blood for the competition, and you will give me rights for controlling your blood's essence, in return I will forgive you."

Sora knew that the power of hidden blood couldn't work if a light energy core was its master, but if a dark energy core was used to make the blood contract, then the technique could be used efficiently.

Jeha looked intrigued, "Might I know for what my blood will be used for?"

"Making a contract by the use of hidden blood."

A silence befell the hall, as Jeha took in the information. Sora was well aware that creatures like demons and angels, they never gave their blood to anyone, because their blood had the strength to destroy cities. So it was very dangerous for their blood to be given away. Numerous facilities were set up to catch the blood traffickers who sold it in the black market, and it was a taboo for anyone to take the blood without permission.

"You do know it will be dangerous for you to use my blood right?"

"But if you give me permission, then I can use it," Sora explained, as his guts told him he was going too far with such gamble this time.

Jaha laughed, his aura flaring with a dominant boast, "What if, I crush you right now, you won't be able to use my blood then."

Sora withered under the intensity of the other's look, "I am precious to you," he spat out. It was a rather bold statement, to call oneself precious. But Sora really had no other choice, he couldn't lose face in the competition, or else he might as well leave the sect. And if he left, he would have no other choice but to start working as a labor, since he had nowhere else to go. His life before entering the sect, was rather tough.

Jeha looked amused, when he looked at the bright blue eyes of the male, "I would agree then, but if you misuse my blood outside of competition, I will personally find you and end your life. You have to know who you are bargaining with."

"Then make the contract."

Jeha shook his head, "My word itself is contract, if I say you can use my blood, then you can, and if I say I will keep your secret, I will. I know what I did was wrong, but I won't apologize, for I am a demon, we are rather shallow and greedy by nature."

"Then I will have your word for it, but how can I trust you? And who knows how many people you have scanned like this."

Jeha smirked, "You are the first, and you are the last, because demons can only scan a person once, and that is always reserved for their soul mate."

Sora flinched, "I am not your soulmate."

"Hahaha, I have chosen you, so you are, but come to me when you need help, I won't shy away from it."

Sora really felt disturbed, he just couldn't understand why Jeha would be interested in him, or why he would chase him. There were numerous other students who were much more beautiful than him, and even better than him. And what more, a hybrid even if precious in their society, their entire existence was unnatural and they attracted unwanted attention of most nasty people, so this Jeha's advances were unusual. Generally, demons like him would stir clear of troublesome misfits, although he himself was the worst one. I wish to not get involved with you any further, you can keep dreaming."

Jeha didn't seem to mind, "I will give you my blood, but how do you plan to hide my essence? The judges will know."

Sora grimaced, he never thought about it, and Jeha seemed to be well aware of that. "You tell me."

"Dilute it."

"How? Because watering it up will only make it bad."

When Jeha heard it, he laughed, "No watering, but you can dilute it with your blood, and now how to keep it? Well, you can keep it fresh if it is dissolved into your blood stream."

"I have to drink your blood?" Sora felt his tongue tingle as his stomach revolted just listening to the thought.

"Drinking won't help," Jeha answered back, "a demon's blood cannot be digested, you just need to inject my blood into your blood stream. The best possible way is to either pierce it through, or rub it all over your body like a lotion, a demon's blood gets absorbed overnight."

"Until how long would it stay in my body?"

"A month."

Sora did a double take, "Are you serious? How much are you going to give me for it to stay for a month."

"I will give you ten drops at most, use it wisely."

Sora had a gut feeling that Jeha couldn't be trusted, but what other choice did he have?

They parted after a while, as Sora was in a hurry to rush out, Jeha had promised him he would deliver the blood the next day, so he had no job lingering around anymore. Because he really felt as if not only was his dignity in danger near Jeha, but also, the demon boy looked too pleased with himself, which annoyed Sora.

Sora knew his decision would one day bite him in return, but for now, his own abilities were lacking, so having a cheat would surely be his last resort. No matter what, he couldn't leave the sect. Otherwise, whatever he dreamed of, would crumble right in front of him.
