The Mage

I made Apollo and Anubis take off. they were excited to get to working taking out the Ashens supply line. ment more supplies for us. We didn't necessarily have to kill all of the Ashens to fulfill That gods demands, we just needed to break them. Oz and Demeter had to wait on fresh supplies to start fixing up the village, however Demeter began making the paths throughout the town better with stone footpaths. I stood at the center of the village and held my hand out.

"first I call upon the great war queen, who has spilt the blood of countless. Kali heed my call!".

a dark red mist swirled around me. the smell of copper filled the air. suddenly a four armed beauty swirled around me. the sounds of blades clanging together followed her.

"This better be fun mortal or it's your blood that my blades will feast on." her voice rang through my ears.

I ignored her for a second.

"I summon the Divine lioness The cure and dreaded Sekhmet" my voice silenced Kalis complaints of being ignored. A loud thunderous roaring followed by a gentle cooling breeze swept around us. a clawed hand wrapped around my shoulder.

"I agree with Kali this better be good." a soft voice growled.

I grabbed the wrist of the hand and spun around, flipping Sekhmet to the ground. I placed my knee under her shoulder blade and glared at Kali.

"Why would I summon two goddess's of war if not to wage war?" I asked releasing Sekhmet.

She stood up and hissed at me.

"tell us who to kill and consider it done." Kali said.

"The Ashens empire. They've kind of been a thorn in my side and I feel like it's time to repay that favor. I want any substantial camps, forts and installation's trashed and any supplies captured brought here. civilians are no go, however leave no soldier armed or otherwise left breathing." I Told them waving them off.

"understood consider it done." Kali said with a bow

" oh and Sekhmet there's a special reason I summoned you. heal the sick and wounded. give people hope as well as destroying the armed forces." I said looking at her.

her dark blonde mane swirled in the wind as she offered me a toothy smile.

I walked back to the tavern and sat down.

"gods are such fickle creatures." I muttered to myself. I had to begin planning on how to deal with any potential issues that would come up. suddenly Liona burst in out of breath.

"We have a problem. The Ashens empires court of mages are marching towards us. Alexis is leading them. She's a nasty nasty piece of work Jackson. she used to dissect Beastmen alive to study them. She's the one who put the curse on our village and lead the attacks on us." she said in one panicky breath.

I sighed.

" well I knew whomever put that curse was bound to show up. get Demeter and Oz. protect the villagers then meet up with me." I said stretching.

She ran out before saying anything. I cracked my knuckles and headed towards the front of the village. I saw a large group heading towards me. dressed with elegant robes and golden staffs.

"fancy huh?" I muttered.

They marched to about twenty feet away from me.

"Are you the little fuck who cured this land from my curse?" a tall dark woman yelled. her long black hair billowing in the wind.

"You the dumb bitch marching on my village?" I replied.

she howled in anger.

"You dare insult me after stealing what was mine you dirty rat bastard. I will kill you ever so slowly. I will feed your people to the starving prisoner's at my camp. You will then become nothing more then a pile of shit!" she howled flinging a fire ball at me.

"immunity fire" I whispered allowing the fireball to hit me.

my shirt burnt to a crisp leaving me standing there with smoke rolling off my skin.

"oh was that all you had? that tickled bitch." I laughed.

Her eyes bugged out of her skull and her face turned a dark red from anger. she began throwing fireball after fireball at me. I sat there and took each one. whispering every immunity I had. her anger grew and grew with each fireballs. I yawned

"ya done yet is it my turn?" I asked looking at her.

"do your worst!" she growled still flinging fireballs at me.

"You know in the world I came from, I would be heavily considered to be over powered. so I think I'll just take out your friends for now."

Her face turned white as she processed what I had said. Reborne formed on her lips as she tried to turn tail and run.

"Holy binding arrow" I called out

a single golden arrow flew from my hand and struck her in the knee. golden bindings shot out and wrapped around her. leaving only her head visible. Her troops staggered backwards.

" oh I haven't forgotten about you guys!" I called out with a smile.

"I call upon those whom have passed extract your revenge on those who killed you." my voice echoed out.

hands reached out of nowhere plucking person by person and dragging them into the abyss.

Alexis could only watch in horror as her men vanished one by one. her eyes wide in shock.

"I have a special treat for you Alexis. oh how rude of me, I know your name but you don't know mine. I'm Jackson. a reborne your empire tried to kill but failed oh so miserablely. I do believe you know a dear friend of mine however, Liona I think she's ready for you my dear." I said as I drug Alexis back into town.

She wormed and wiggled trying desperately to get away. yelling curses then pleading then more curses.

"oh dear I would save your breath for whatever they plan on doing to you. I'm sure they will want to hear you scream." I said dragging her towards Liona and a group of villagers.

She pleaded with me, to just kill her.

"Nope. you deserve what's about to happen my dear and at their hands and their hands alone." I replied looking down at her horrified face.

"here you are my dear Liona, She's yours to do with as you please." I said dropping her at their feet. Liona bowed to me then slunv her over her shoulder.

"we will take good care of her Jackson I promise you that." a male villager said with a toothy grin.

I nodded and went back to the tavern, listening to Her tortured screams all night. I wondered how many nights had she done the same.
