Pre-Game

10:30pm, Caesars Palace, Las Vegas, Nevada.

All of us looked like a million bucks, but Raven wasn't feeling Aria's look.

"Um..." said Raven scratching the back of her neck a little nervous. "You can't wear that diamond necklace to where we're going". She added. Aria didn't mind taking her necklace off, but we were all confused.

"I mean... why?" I had to ask, Raven gave an awkward smile and sighed.

"Do you trust me?" She asked. The rest of the gang looked at each other confused.

"Yeah" we all said, Raven smiled relieved.

Our first Vegas adventure was about to begin and I wasn't quite sure how I felt about it. I was having a rollercoaster of emotions such as joy, euphoria, security, anxiety, stress and a little paranoia. I was happy to be in Vegas, I was proud of myself for stepping up and trying to seek my true happiness, I felt ready to know who Karenina was. On the other hand, I left home, i left my studies, i'm not attending my sessions with Mrs. Williams, I'm not in control, I don't know where we're going, what will happen or if this trip will have severe consequences, but... i'm excited. Weird, i know.

We finished getting ready and we're about to go out. I could feel my heart pounding as fast as it possibly could. My mind was thinking 3.5 billions thoughts per seconds, my pupils were the size of a marble and my mouth couldn't speak even if it wanted to.

"Wait, guys... I brought something..." said Aria looking guilty.

Her comment didn't help how I was feeling, it made it worse. We weren't out of the door and we were guilty of something already. We all stared at her, waiting for her grand reveal. The longest 0.8 seconds of my life. What she revealed sparked me up. "Weed" she added.

Deonne's eyes shone brighter than the Eiffel Tower, Maria laughed out loud, Raven's eyes watered up and Jenny ran up to her to hug her screaming "thank you, thank you!". A part of me went on quickly, I wanted to smoke the whole blunt, but... I held myself back. As always.

"I'll look for a lighter!" Said Deonne moving fast around the room.

"This night is gonna rock!" Yelled Jenny.

"Are you ok?" Maria whispered to me, I smiled.

"I'm just in shock of how awesome ya'll are" I responded, she smiled and quickly went in for a warm, pure hug. Seconds later, Deonne walked in with a lighter.

"We'll smoke it outside? Balcony?" Asked Aria.

"Bitch, you light up that shit in here. Marcus doesn't care, he said we could do anything in this room, except steal" responded Raven. We all shared a big laugh and I was starting to feel calm.

Time: 11:25pm.

Place: Caesars Palace Hotel, Las Vegas, Nevada.

We all sat on the floor in an Indian circle ready to smoke the blunt before going out. As owner of the blunt, Aria had the task of lighting it up. "Shit's good" she said while holding the smoke, Jenny smiled even wider as she heard Aria savor de moment. After a couple of minutes, the blunt finally got to me and I inhaled the biggest hit I could, sadly, due to lack of practice, I coughed and coughed.

"Fuck" i said laughing and still coughing, Deonne was the first one to burst out laughing, the rest followed.

"What's wrong, Kennedy? Tough hit?" Said Jenny jokingly, which made me laugh even more.

"It's good though" I said while passing the blunt to Aria once again.

After a couple of minutes, we realized we were high enough and half way done smoking a second or fourth blunt, I don't know very well.

"Fuck, I'm high" i said laughing until turning red, Deonne laughed with me.

"Shit, i've never heard you curse so much. 2 fucks? You're wild, Nina" said D.

"I don't have count" i said making the rest of the group laugh.

"We're all here looking for something, huh?" Asked Jenny while sighing in a thoughtful manner. I couldn't help but to look quickly towards Deonne and she looked at me.

"I guess" She whispered.

"Girls, I haven't been this high since high school" i said drifting the conversation away, Aria gasped.

"SINCE HIGH SCHOOL?" Shockingly yelled Aria.

The feeling of being high made me feel amazing, but I don't know if its because i'm smoking weed and weed has this effect on you or If i just like the tension, the adrenaline of doing something im not supposed to do. How is it be possible that i'm on my way to become a doctor and I still don't know myself?.

Time: 12:18AM.

Place: Caesars Palace Hotel, Las Vegas, Nevada.

High as a Kite, i'm finishing off the last blunt.

"Raven," I started to say as I took another hit. "Where are you taking us? Just curious".

Before answering, Raven took a deep breath, which made me a little nervous, but she followed it with a beautiful smile "I'm taking you guys downtown Vegas".

"W-What? What does that mean?" Asked Maria completely clueless but trusting.

"Theres so much more out there than BMW's, Range rovers, fine wine, diamonds, Jimmychoo shoes and lip fillers!" Expressed Raven in a inspiring voice. "I know a place where the party is real, organic, nobody cares, they actually live. Sometimes it gets hot and heavy, but hey, thats life. We're not going to these tourist casinos, we're going to the secret club & Casino in Downtown Vegas".
