Chapter 2: Good Kid's Nightmare

Weeks passed and Ricky, as his tradition, goes to school punctually with no thought of cutting classes while seeing the exact same scenario in the classroom. A group of girls singing loudly to their favorite pop tunes and a company of geeks who busy themselves with senseless amusement online. Outside, the boys play basketball early in the morning which the school prohibits. All this made Ricky shake his head in disbelief. "Is this how high schoolers act? What kind of disease has spread upon us?", he thought.

The first subject started with Ms Paras on a chaotic note. The class was in disarray despite the new sitting arrangement being assigned by the inexperienced teacher. The students still sit in clusters composed of their friends. Those who are in the back munch their food without a signbof regret and apology. Ms Paras, feeling very annoyed, finally snapped and said, "Stop! What disrespect are you showing me? Wait 'til I tell you to the principal." Ricky, being the only one listening to the lesson, smacked his forehead with a breath of disappointment on his mouth and exclaimed to himself, "Ripples! You had one job and you failed to do it."

Minutes later, the bumbling Nicole came in late for 20 minutes. After apologizing to Ms Paras, she sat down beside Ricky. "Good heavens! What made you late again?" "I woke up late. The show I'm watching takes place at 9 in the evening," Nicole answered. "Pssh. That habit is gonna kill you or your life afterward," said Ricky skeptically. "Oh please. Don't be so kj," the brash young lady answered.

"By the way, do you have notes for the lesson on trigonometry?", Nicole asked after tucking Ricky's shoulder. "What you had none at all?", Ricky asked back. "I recalled seeing you here." "Oh I was asleep at tha-- I was sitting beside you," she snapped. "I'm sorry. I don't take notice on careless students," Ricky snapped back. "But okay. I'll lend you my notes."

The class continued on chaotically. With Ricky taking notes and reciting every time Ms Paras asks a question. Nicole sits quietly on the verge of daydreaming. It was 12 in the midnight when she finally slept last night. But we all know there are worse offenders out there.
