DISCLAIMER:
The guide serves to answer some of the questions as the story progresses and will not be that comprehensive as to discuss stuff that are not integral to the plot (so no comprehensive discussion of races, the other continents, and the other realms yet). Part 1 seeks to explain and expand further stuff from Chapters 1-8.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Elderone
-One of the worlds composing the Gray realm, the other two being the world of dwarves, and the world of giants. Humans composed most of the inhabitants of Elderone with the other races having slowly migrated for thousands of years. It has five (5) main continents: 1.) Norus, 2.) Solus, 3.) Ghard, 4.) Vestrun, and 5.) Mauza
Ghard
-The second largest continent in Elderone, the continent as characterized by long channel of rivers connected by the great river of Wesdirec. Two large kingdoms rule majority of Ghard, Threanas and Quirun. It is also here that Heisld mountains, home to the fabled kingdom of Crusdea is located.
-As for Brenn Loria, the kingdom is located in Vestrun, while the entrance to the dragons' realm, Wyrdracona, is said to be found in the great mountains of Norus.
Threanas
-One of the large kingdoms that rule majority of Ghard. Its territory is composed of ten provinces and a number of smaller kingdoms. The house of Glacia under King Deanor currently rules it after having usurped the crown from the house of Flaur many decades ago. Its capital is Noir. After the disappearance of its queen, Queen Ylia, King Deanor seemed to have abandoned the kingdom, letting the knights go unchecked, and the lords to have their way in the respective provinces they own. The great drought two seasons ago left Threanas a shell of its former glory. There are, however, rumors of a plan to take the crown by a group known only as the Midnight Council.
Noir
-The current capital of Threanas. Prior to the house of Glacia's usurpation, the province of Boehn was the capital of the kingdom. To symbolize a new beginning (and to avoid bringing up memories of the usurpation), the house chosed Noir as the new capital. What was a small province that was almost unreachable even by wulforse became a seat of power under the Glacia's reign. The large wall surrounding it was intentionally made to look like a crown as the Glacias treat it as their greatest treasure and legacy for generations to come.
King Deanor
-The tenth king of Threanas. Prior to becoming a king, he was considered as one of Threana's greatest generals, having commanded and personally fought in the war against the barbarians of Norus. Deanor also served in the great dragon wars. However, he's also infamous for giving the lords of provinces the power to decide the amount of tax to levy from their subjects. While his early years of rule was characterized by prosperity, the sudden disappearance Queen Ylia seemed to have a profound effect on the king. The man who was once known for his patience is now known for sending anyone who displeases him to the dungeon.
Dragons
-Dragons used to rule over the most of Elderone. Having found out after migrating that unlike them, humans cannot manipulate elements or perform magic, the race terrorized the world for thousands of years until the arrival of Elves. The Elves taught humans about the elements, mana, and magic. Together, the two waged a war against the dragons which lasted hundreds of years. Now, only a few dragons remain in Elderone, most of them having returned to their world, Wydracona. As of the moment a treaty between the dragons and other races is in effect forbidding the making of anymore Dragonslayers. The race is known for its ability to manipulate to the elements, most of them can withstand magic, with the only way to kill them is through the use of a Dragonslayer. Just like the elves, their world is located in the White (Light) realm.
Magic
-Magic involves the manipulation of both elements and mana. In order to perform magic, one must use a 'Language', either written or spoken. Most races can use magic since Language allows for an easier and more precise way to achieve the desired results. While the first humans in Elderone can use magic to a certain degree, it is only through the Elves' teaching that humans were able to become proficient in its use. Proficiency in magic varies from person to person, with some not being able to use it at all. It is theorized that the amount of mana inside oneself determines whether one can perform magic.
Language
-Known as the gift from the Gods. Language is not only useful for communicating but in performing magic as well. Language allows one to precisely control the elements and mana to achieve the desired result. It may be used either in its written or spoken form. However, most magic users agree that the use of both forms are known to make spells more powerful. While each race is known to have its own Language, Runic Language is the one more commonly used, with Rune or Runic being divided into the forgotten Old Runic, and the one being currently used, New Runic.
Weaving
-The talent of Elves. While dwarves are known as forgers, who 'forge' or shape the essence of things in order to create, Elves are known as 'weavers'. Weaving involves the mixing the essence of things, allowing Elves to 'weave' even incorporeal matter such as sunlight, the sky, rain, among others, into other things. Weaving imbues additional attributes to the thing which was woven, making a sword woven with air almost as light as feather, or a tunic woven with soil as hard as a rock, just to name a few.
