Chapter 46: I've Been Eating Sweets Lately

"Sichen!" A glamorous and sexy woman raised her wine glass as she walked over.

Lan Haoyang teased with his elbow nudging Leng Sichen, "That kind must be your taste, right? I'll leave you to your flirting then! Bye~"

This Lou Wei had become very successful in the entertainment industry, a diva indeed, but she never had rumors with any man—it was the type a person could admire from a distance but not play with in close quarters. Many men sought her attention, but she paid none a glance and held a unique affection toward Leng Sichen.

"Sichen, who was that little kitty by your side just now? Surprisingly a good drinker, not at all like Bai Qianning, who doesn't touch a drop and is so delicate," Lou Wei inquired tentatively.

"Hmm, not bad," Leng Sichen responded ambiguously.

Lou Wei, undeterred by Leng Sichen's indifference, continued, "Sichen, are you really getting engaged to Bai Qianning? I thought you hated being tied down?"

"Getting married doesn't change anything, especially, it's just an engagement."

"True..." Lou Wei's expression relaxed a bit, and she spoke softly, "By the way, I just got some top-notch Lafite wine. How about we have a drink tonight?"

Leng Sichen frowned, "I have plans tonight."

"Heh, you just said it wouldn't change anything. Why starting to play it safe now?" Lou Wei mocked.

"I've recently developed a taste for sweet things."

Leng Sichen threw out a bizarre comment for Lou Wei, then strode toward the direction his gaze had been fixed on since earlier.

"What is it? What are you looking for?" Li Yunzhe, seeing Xia Yuxun scurrying around like a groundhog, asked amusedly.

"I lost one of my contact lenses."

As she spoke, Xia Yuxun widened her eyes searching—it was all because she got too agitated seeing Leng Sichen talking to another woman.

Li Yunzhe glanced at her, then suddenly exclaimed, "Your eyes..."

Xia Yuxun quickly covered his mouth, "What are you yelling for? You're dead if you say it out loud, you know?"

Li Yunzhe nodded repeatedly, and Xia Yuxun finally let him go.

"But Xiaoxia, your pupil color is so unique! Purple is really rare, is it from your mom or dad?"

Xia Yuxun stiffened, "None of your business!" She searched more frantically.

"Forget it, let's look together! Where did it fall?" Li Yunzhe asked.

"I think it's under the table."

"Bang—"

The two, while searching, bumped heads together.

"Ow, that hurts! Xiaoxia, what exactly is your head made of? It's so hard!" Li Yunzhe cried out, holding his head.

"It's just normal human tissue structure."

Xia Yuxun finally managed to pick up the tiny lens and sat back on the sofa with a sigh of relief.

She had drunk too much, and Xia Yuxun's hands shook slightly, "Done, I can't get it in now!"

"Let me help you," Li Yunzhe saw her struggling and felt anxious for her.

"Can you do it?" Xia Yuxun was skeptical.

"At least I'm not drunk!"

"Are you saying I'm drunk?" Xia Yuxun glared at him irritably, her cheeks flushed with a lightly inebriated charm, extremely adorable.

Li Yunzhe folded his arms and watched her, "You're not drunk? Then pick up those tiny pearls from that dish with chopsticks if you can!"

"Boring! Even if I were sober, I couldn't pick them up," she retorted.

Li Yunzhe coughed lightly; she was indeed somewhat lucid.

In the end, Xia Yuxun herself had a tough time but succeeded in putting the contact lens in.

"Your eyes are very red; did you scratch them?" Li Yunzhe leaned in closer, almost bursting into laughter at her eyes, which were red like a rabbit's.

"Hopefully not! It's a bit painful since I accidentally rubbed them earlier," Xia Yuxun blinked her eyes.

"Let me check for you!"

But as Li Yunzhe leaned closer, a large hand swept in, lifting Xia Yuxun up and spinning her half around; she stumbled dizzily into a firm embrace.

"Uh, President...?"
