The Start of Something New

Chen Xiao had told me to stand still and to relax my body. He had said that if there was spatial turbulence then to stay calm as there was a high chance that I would just get spat somewhere random during the turbulence and that I would get torn to shreds if I had started flailing around in a panic during the turbulence.

I did what he had said and sat cross-legged, ready to embark on my new journey.

"Get ready and hold still. You will feel slight nauseous during and a while after the journey, as this is your first time encountering Space Essence." He said "Try and comprehend the Essence during the travel, as we will be in the pocket of space for about a week or so."

He then started to draw rune like patterns that looked like they encompassed the world inside of them. Some were hourglasses, while some were pentagrams. He had said that there were 2 layers, the first one was the teleportation circle, while the second was the coordinates of the designated arrival point that was being requested.

I decided to put those runes to the back of my mind. I could feel a slight pulling coming from all around me. Then the dark void around me began to shift and then I noticed that there was somehow tears in the void around me, which started to surround the runes below me, the tears started to pull me in, and then before I had new it I was surrounded by another batch of darkness and the pulling sensation that was from all around me.

I started to focus on the surroundings, then noticed that this type of space was different from the void. The void was an infinite of nothing, while this type of Essence was something more, something beyond the scope of ordinary humans.

I had then recalled that Chen Xiao had mentioned that this was the Space Essence, which was way harder to manipulate than the Void Essence, as this was turbulent energy, while the Void Essence was almost inviting.

I had then started to wonder where Chen Xiao had gone, but I guess that he was too tired from manipulating the Space Essence.

I had then noticed a slight pulling, almost like it wanted to rip my body to pieces, I had then realized that I had encountered a turbulent space pocket, where the Space Essence ran wild, spitting out whatever it encountered into the outside world, sometimes people would be spit out into ancient halls, and other times at the fiery gates of hell somehow.

Chen Xiao had told me that there hasn't been a "Space Bender" which was what people called someone who could manipulate space to their will to travel anywhere in the vast universe.

If there was one they would be killed, as some greedy cultivators would want to have the method to manipulate space so that they too could be the most powerful person.

As using the Space Essence to hide in space pockets between the turbulent energies and the real world would allow someone to systematically disappear from the world technically, as nobody would be able to sense the space pockets, except for the extremely powerful cultivators. Which would then allow someone to be a silent assassin in dealing with opponents, no matter how many there were, some of the 'Space Benders' could even manipulate space so that an enemies heart was missing from their bodies, as if it had disappear in thin air. That would kill their enemy instantly, even if they were the most powerful person in the world, as a cultivators heart is their weak point.

There were some people that had cultivated extra hearts in order to avoid death, but those techniques had been long lost.

Chen Xiao had passed on most of his knowledge to me about the outside worlds. I now had all of the knowledge of alchemy, cultivating methods, etc. as he didn't know when he would exit from his coma.
