To the ends of the earth

"Why did you stop me? Ying, are you hiding something from me?" Feifei asked.

At this point, Yiyang knew she needs someone she can trust. Someone that can help her find out the answers to the questions she is looking for. Because of this, she decided to trust Feifei and tell her everything.

"Fei, after that incident four years ago, I just have so many questions. I tried to ignore it for four years but I can't ignore it anymore."

As soon as Yiyang mentioned that incident, Feifei felt sorry yet she can only pretend in front of her best friend.

"Ying, what do you mean?" Feifei tried to ask.

"I.. I don't know why and I can't understand. I can't understand why being in S City brings so much pain in my heart. I can't understand why I feel distant with my parents and I don't know why I can't stop thinking about that little girl. All these years, everyone were saying I'm lucky but why do I always feel that something is missing? Why do I always feel I lost something important?" Yiyang confessed as her voice broke and her eyes ready to betray her any minute.

Hearing how that incident affected Yiyang even after four years, Feifei felt more guilty. The decision she believed would make her best friend's life better was nothing but a benefit for the people around Yiyang. A decision everyone thought would be good for her without knowing she's been crying tears of blood because of a decision everyone made for her.

Now, the happiness and smile on her face the moment she met Yiyang slowly faded. It was instead filled with pain and regret on what she should have done four years ago.

Feifei reached Yiyang's hands as she tried to console her and said, "Ying..."

As Feifei reached out to her hands to give it a slight squeeze to console her, Yiyang knew she made the right choice to tell Feifei everything.

Yiyang looked up to meet Feifei's eyes to give her a weak smile and said, "Fei, I can't do everything on my own. If I want to find out about something, there are people who wouldn't want me to know about it. That's something I am sure of. If the situation is at that point, it means I can't move freely. I can only trust you to do things behind the dark. Fei, can you do that for me?"

Feifei knew it would not suffice for the damage everyone brought upon Yiyang. But she decided it is time to make everything right. She decided it is only right to help Yiyang. She decided she would help Yiyang find the answers to the questions she was looking for at all costs. Even if it meant she can only help Yiyang secretly. Even if it meant destroying the world everyone created for Yiyang.

This time, it was Feifei's turn to smile at Yiyang. She looked at Yiyang in the eyes, smiled at her as she squeezed her hands tighter and answered Yiyang's plea assuringly, "You can count on me, Ying. We're going to find the answers to the questions you have even if it meant going to the ends of the earth."

Hearing Feifei's assuring answer, Yiyang was touched that her tears flowed out in no time. She thanked Feifei as she chuckled for she finds it funny how she's crying. "Thank you, Fei. God knows how thankful I am to have you."

"I know. Where can you find a friend like me?" Feifei teased Yiyang as she raised her eyebrows and smirked.

In the end, Yiyang can only smile widely as she thought about how she met Feifei and how they became friends. Feifei might have come later in her life but she knew she could keep Feifei forever.
