Smell of the Game

You know, I've been ignoring my side arm for quite awhile. It's my life support against rush type builds, the only thing keeping me from a 0 : 100 matchup.

A few days ago, a PK Swordsman tried to kill me at my camp he would of won in not for my side arm. Otherwise I'd use a combat knife.

I'm going to go on a tangent here for a bit, stick with me. Here is a basic matchup guide for this game.

AoE -> Rush -> Solo -> Tank -> Creator -> Swarmer -> Combative -> Buffer -> AoE

I believe you know a few of these terms, but I'll explain them all.

AoE - Large Area of Affect damage

Rush - Speed based fighters

Solo - Damage based fighters

Tank - Defence based fighters

Creator - Summons and Necromancy

Swarmer - Lots of little Summons

Combative - Snipers and Archers

Buffer - Increase of stats in anyway

AoE beats rush, because they can bombard the movement space of rush players.

Rush beats Solo, because Solo is too slow to keep up with Rush

Solo Beats tank, because tanks can't out DPS a solo.

Tank beats Creator, because the summons don't do enough damage.

Creator beats Swarmer, because 5 bears can beat 20 mice.

Swarmer beats Combative, because you can't shoot them all.

Combative beats buffers, easy targets.

Buffers beats AoE, because of shield spells.

This list doesn't consider level 50's extra class.

This isn't completely accurate, as you have to consider everything in this game. But here is a Teir list.

Combative

Buffer

Tank

Solo

Speed

Creator

Swarmer

AoE

_______________________________________

Ahem, enough of that.

I assure you don't really need this, but I guess it's helpful anyways.

So, let's get a move on. We are going on a road trip. Our destination is to my old guild.

I had a few secret items I stored underground. Some accessories and dyes, a few important materials. And most importantly, my old Side Arm.

When I was " Crimson ", I constantly swapped out side arms based on what assignment I had... but I always had one that would be best. Its basically a giant fucking missle launcher, shrunk using magic, and at the end of the barrel it has an anti magic ring attached.

So, this little gun launches giant high explosives, boiling liquid expanding vapour explosions rounds (BeLiEVERs)

Basically, my Believer rounds are giant hollow missiles, filled with boiling napalm ( substitute ), Wich upon impact, explodes about the same as 1/4 of a small nuclear bomb. And there's flying napalm everywhere.

I based the design of of real life BLEVE rounds, wich don't have as much power as mine. Usually they are filled with burning alcohol. But they still pack a fucking punch, being one of the strongest explosive capability next to nuclear.

And in a fucking pistol.

In fact, it's so fucking cool, the System named the weapon... get this...

" Crimson Saber "

Fucking cool

Anyways, that's the goal. Sneak in, open my secret chest, sneak out.

I don't have a better plan, but if I get Crimson Saber, I can fuck anything up.

20 Levels of difference won't matter with that beast, and I know that within the last month no-one got to 80. So if I get caught I just book it to Crimson Saber and then just Fight my way out.

Oh, but since only " Crimson " knows the password, there is more evidence shown to them that I'm Crimson. Wich is bad for me.

Whatever.

I've reached the outskirts of what used to be my territory, the Guild re-assigned it to another high ranking member. But it looks like security is lax.

It's the dead of night, only one guard tower is active, and about 3 patrol men. Level 67 on tower, a average of Level 56 Patrol men. Not bad, for a newbie. I'm a kinda used to doing stuff like this, but for... other reasons.

I can take out the Tower Guard in one hit, he's a sniper too. But the patrolmen have a few different classes. Mostly tanks and solos.

Oh, I forgot to make a silencer.

Shit, uh...

System, make a Silencer with grass and Carapace using alchemy.

Confirmed

Insect Silencer

+ Accuracy, - Sound, + Dmg vs Insects

Spicy, but I'm not sure how good it is. I mean grass can only soften the noise so much, even in a video game... right?

Actually I don't know, usually I just use factory made silencers because they are just so cheap.

Well, here we go... Dice and Asi will stealth over to the sniper and take him out, and I'll start shooting patrolmen.

On my Mark.

...

...

...

* Ping * * Ping * * Ping * * Ping * * Ping * * Ping * * Ping *

...Cycle the clip...

* Ping *

Shit, I missed...

* Ping *

There we go.

Five left, five bullets.

Dice and Asi successfully took out the sniper, what reliable children.

I can't hit the rest, most are either behind cover or in buildings. Guess it's time to get offensive, maybe I'll get to use Magic.

Hehe, I'll be there soon, Crimson Saber.
