Council of Dumbasses

Let me ask you a question.

What do you get, when you give random people divine power? Well, I guess I'll find out... so far my impressions aren't the best.

I used to think Mordova was like, a normal perception of a Divine being but she ended up more like a druggie mother.

I don't know the name of that lighting Goddess, but from my little interaction with her I judge she's kinda stuck up her own fumes.

Akko Akko, the fire god... he doesn't seem to be the brightest from what I heard, despite being a god of fire though, haha.

The only other god I've seen or heard about is the dragon God... but apparently he doesn't show up to these? Well... if your the father of gods you'd probably have something else to do.

So... what's going on? Well... basically a QnA about a few things, presumably for the party that will come soon while the gods get ready for the council.

Age... Favorite color... yada yada. I answered to the best I could. Age was kind of an issue though. Like... do I count the years I've spent digital? I just said 30 since that's about the age I look like.

After that, though, a man in a white lab coat wheeled me off to a remote part of the building.

" Do you consent to this surgery? "

Me - " I... uh what? What surgery? "

" Well, were going to install a Mana crystal into you, and release your wings. "

Me - " I already have a Mana crystal, and I think I have wings as a part of my equipment set. "

" Have you opened your wings yet though? It may be a detriment to your health if you haven't."

Me - " Well... I guess I haven't seen them? "

" Can you please take your shirt off real quick? I'm going to check if they are open."

Me - " Usually I'd go on a date first, but I guess that's fine. "

" Is that such a common joke amoung players? "

Looks like I pissed him off, whatever. I took off the shirt Mordova have me... looks like there was quite the bit of physical change to my body besides losing my coloring. A large blue tattoo covered my back, and two large symmetrical crystals adorned my back below my shoulder blades.

" Yeah uh, those crystals... very similar to Mordova's... not quite as big due to her being... you know... but, they are quite big compared to a normal God's blessing. Did she make these wings for you? "

Me - " I made them myself, by crafting? "

" Strange, Do you mind if I get a few other doctors to observe this procedure? "

Me - " Ah, uh... sure? "

He rushed off...I hope that I haven't done anything wrong. I didn't even know I had wings before I crafted these? I wonder if Mordova knew...

Huh. This room looks pretty high tech. Like a proper surgery room. Very different to the supposed " Medical Bays " this game has for purchase. Honestly I don't understand, where does the SciFi end and the fantasy begin? Were guns always in this world?

...

The surgeons back, now he has a following of 16 other doctors... All seemingly dressed as if they were from different time periods, from a witch doctor to a man in 18th century clothing, but the one who I initially met is the only one in modern doctor clothes... why are they dressed differently?

" Alright, Cobalt was it? We are going to begin the surgery when your ready, if you'd please lie down on your back... do you have a pain negation skill by chance? "

" I actually don't know, I've recently gotten quite the bit of skills, let me ask the system. "

System, do I have anything that negates pain?

| Answer:

Mutation Rig

Demon's Body

Clear Body

All of those three can reduce pain, together they grant • pain resistance ( High ) • |

What do they do though?

| Demon's Body : Grants pain resistance, higher Mana density per level, more powerful figure.

Clear Body : Grants slight invisibility in combat, pain resistance, and immunity to natural disease.

Mutation Rig : Allows for the crafting and Equipping of extra limbs or organs, grants slight pain resistance. |

Ah, so that... clears things up.

/\ Shut the fuck up. /\

C.. Crimson.

Uh... ok.

Gotcha...

Me - " Yeah uh, I got 3 that resist pain, it's about high level. "

" Alright, looks like we won't need to put you to sleep during this, like we had to do Crusader of Light haha. "

" Come on Dr. Moorsman, get in with the surgery already. I'm excited to see the results. "

" Alright then, Mr. Cobalt, can you make sure to hold still? "

Me - " Of course, Doc. "

Dr. Moorsman

You know, I never seen any wing rest like it, compared to the Angles and Minor Deity's wings they are absolutely different.

The wings are typically based around the person's strengths or even personality... Mordova's wing rest is spiky and made of ice crystals. Actually, I should probably explain the differences in wing rests.

For Angles, their wing rests are small metallic plates with a center hole in Wich the wings come out. They have feathered wings.

Minor Deities, have crystalline wing rests of various types of precious gems. They have leathery wings.

Full deities, not only have the the crystalized wing rests, but also a larger surface area of the wing holes and the surrounding structure.

Crusaders, usually have wings that are placed higher up on their backs, with a wing rest that is determined by Wich God blessed them.

The Brimstone Crusader never once took out his wings, but his mantle was entirely fire.

The Light Crusader had a large pair of white wings, adorned by a soft glow... his wing rest was incorporated into his gear.

Now, The Tundra Crusader is here... he has no actual wing rest, wich is the reason why it's weird...

So, to perform the Wing Opening surgery, i have to cut a hole in the back... and pull the wings out, where then the patient can pull his wings out using Mana.

Honestly... I don't know where to cut exactly, but these tattoo patters have a 3 small ovals on each side of his back that are where wings typically would be, it's kind of risky not knowing where it is though.

So, the system seems this as enough of a challenge to make an event for me? Ha! I didn't attend Medical school for 20 years to Falter at this!

I began with the initial incision, cutting through the upmost oval in typical procedure, making sure to let the other doctors take not of the procedure. It's quite the party when we get a new Crusader... we haven't gotten one since the Light Crusader.

Opening the flesh some more... there is evidence of the wing sprout being as big as the oval itself! That size is comparable to an actual god, I see why Mordova picked him now.

Then, after making the final incision... I moved my Mana slowly into the cut, stirring the Latent Mana usually found Un Awakened wings, but it's taking quite the bit more Mana than I expected...

" Can you guys help me stir his Mana? It's taking quite the bit more than expected. "

Ah, that's better... much more Mana to work with, much easier Awakening...

* Pop *

Ah! It's finished... but there is no actual wing... I wonder why that is...

| 1/3 Complete |

Ah, system. Thanks for the intel, turns out there is three pairs? That's quite ridiculous! Never once before had a Divine being have that many wings, that maximum I've ever seen is the two pairs the Delivery God's have. Why would someone need three...

Repeating the procedure to the other ovals... the result was similar... eventually I finished however.

| Event Complete |

Me - " Alright, it looks like I was correct on this being a weird case. You got three pairs of wings! That's probably the most any divine being has ever had. You made these wings yourself? "

" Oh I uh, crafted them using the system... I think it's because of one of my skills. "

Me - " Alright, why don't to try and push some of your Mana towards them, or get a look in the mirror? "

-----/\./\---------------------------------------

Cobalt

-----/\./\---------------------------------------

Looking at myself through a standing mirror that was wheeled in... I noticed that I lacked actual wings like I thought I'd get. Comparing them to an Ice Dragons isn't close at all system! They look more like metal rods that protrude my back!

| Alert : Crafting " Ice Dragon Wings " transformed into " Icicle Tech Wings " due to [ Planar Hitman ], [ Divine Craftsman ], Divine Influence, and combining it into a Unique Set. |

| Mana isn't nessasary to use these wings, unlike the original. |

Of course, but how do I use them then?

| Activate wings? |

Go for it!

| Activating... |

The metal rodes that once went straight out of my back, broke apart into multiple different pieces... hovering in the air behind me. A blue light start flowing from the stubs of metal on my back, creating bridges towards other pieces... non of them were fully connected, with some pieces ending the light flow and having the next piece make its own light.

In the end, I was left with 6 total wings, created by the dark blue light. There nature was spiky and flat, hovering behind me like abstract art. The design was shifting around, before finally resting on a design...

One pair of wings where down by my waist level, folding itself around my backside.

The second pair was at shoulder blade level, looking similar in design to the wings I've seen other divine beings.

The third pair was larger than the rest, further back from me too. Dominantly displaying themselves by not folding itself around me, but rather almost like a King Cobra's flairing. It started from about my head, but it draped down to my knees.

I never thought I'd have wings, despite seeing players fly many times before I haven't seen anyone fly on their own. Usually they have mounts or something.

But, I guess flight is pretty fucking cool!

/\ I agree, but what about Dice and Anise? They can't get wings without a blessing. You probably are going to need a flying mount eventually. /\

Party pooper.

/\ I'm you. /\

Yeah so?

/\ Your a party pooper too. /\

But you are way different?

/\ Didn't think of that, by the way... since everyone knows your Crimson now, I need a new name. /\

Oh uh... man, I never had been good at naming things...

/\ Relax, I'll think of something. I just wanted to let you know. /\

Ok then.

/\ Hey uh, Dice is talking to you... can't you hear her when I talk? /\

Oh shit your right.

Me - " Oh sorry dice, blanked out for a moment... everything ok? "

Dice - " Of course, I love those wings of yours. The doctor said I should come and check it out with Anise. This might be the first time I've seen you with your shirt off, your quite the bit of a looker with those tattoos. ~ "

Oh, woops. System, equip my shirt and deactivate my wings.

| Confirmed. |

The floating bits flew into where my skin was and disappeared, and the small rods that protruded my back retracted back in, leaving no trace of them there. Remarkably my skin turned out to be fine there.

System, what's the point of wings?

| Answer: Increases influence of Passive Abilities when they are active, does not include other forms or skills that increase other skills. |

Alright then... uh, I think we got to meet Mordova at the main hall now... I hope she hasn't been waiting.

Me - " Alright then, let's go see Mordova. ".

Dice - " Alright, race you there? "

Dr. Moorsman - " No racing. You just finished surgery. "

Dice - " Aww... "

Whew, good thing the doctor stepped in... I never would if stood a chance at a race against dice... she's really fast.

Being in the Divine realm kinda hurts your eyes, all the neon gets drilled into you at every turn. Anyways, I met up with Mordova and heading into a large gathering hall, in the middle was 7 large structures that resemble the Juries area in Court, back in the day. They were lined up so that all sides could see each other, looping around the inside of the room.

Mordova led me to one of the Structures and sat me down next to her, Dice sat next to me, and Anise sat next to Mordova. 4 People made entirely out of ice formed behind us, armed to the teeth... guards of Mordova's I assume by her reaction, I haven't seen them in her castle though... guess she doesn't find anything that could threaten her there.

Next to our booth on the right, A man in an Aloha Shirt and Cargo shorts sat alone with a man in full plate armor, next to them were 4 men made of fire.

In the next booth over, was a lone man in a open bright green suit, underneath was a brown undershirt and a loose firing tie.

The booth to our left was filled by a man in white robes, with 6 different colors of ribbon flowing off of him.

The next booth down had a man in a pitch black... like impossibly Black... t shirt with ripped jeans.

Next to the Man in dark, was a lady dressed in skimpy and revealing... cloud? She wore a dress made of thunder clouds, I think.

The past one was a man dressed in a simple robe, much like the muiti colored man, but instead it only had yellow.

Eventually, that man in yellow had spoke...

??? - " Council will now begin. First order of business, The Fire Crusader being attacked by Mordova. "

Mordova - " May I first speak my claim? "

??? - " Of course. "

Mordova - " Ahem, being the only one near the Barrier at the time, I've noticed that a large number of "players" and "NPCs" had been dying alot more then previous attempts. I investigated the situation, and my results are as follows... The Crusader of fire was holding onto the key, and living inside an encampment with Demons. Evidence suggested that he had sided with the demons, but to make sure I sent a few spys. "

??? - " What were the results of this then? "

Mordova - " Conclusively, The Crusader of Fire has been turned against us by the barrier keeper. "

? - " I object! I had no relations with the Demons nor the Barrier keeper! "

??? - " Overturned, I sentence you guilty. "

? - " What!?! That's bullshit!! Why?!? "

??? - " My Mana sense detected demonic Mana hidden deep within you. You can't hide it from me. "
