Chapter 3 – Dominance

Alan had to lie on what happened to him yesterday and said that he lost in the town and had to sleep in a hotel so that his parents no longer worried because of him. Not long after he sent his parents away, Alan took Erica with him to the training room to test his current strength.

They walked for a while before arrived at the training room. Alan's parents always use the training room to sharpen their skills. Unity is a world where one's strength determines everything. So, they had to keep improving.

"Hmm…our training room is really big. Looks like we also had the best equipment to train." Alan complimented.

"Yes, My Lord, the Snow family has always prioritized strength." Erica said.

Alan straight away took out his Star Sword from the inventory. This is the first time he took it out in front of Erica.

"This Sword! Forgive me for being rude my lord, but where did you get this sword?" Erica asked.

The sword was emitting a very terrifying killing aura. Alan looked at it for a while before he asked, "This sword? How I found it is a secret but why do you care so much?"

"This sword is a really powerful sword, your servant never seen this kind of sword even for the thousands of years I lived." Erica carefully said.

"My lord, how did you obtain the spatial inventory skill?" Erica asked again.

"I see… forget it. This sword is mine so it's our advantage. As for the spatial skill, I always had it I do not know how I got it. By the way, Erica, I prefer you to call me by my name from now on." Alan said calmly.

"As you say, My lor-…Alan." Erica said while smiling. She liked it.

"Good. Now help me practice my sword." Alan said.

Alan looked into the system to find any skills he can buy. He had some coins after killing monsters when he tried using fire magic in the forest.

Alan clicked the skill in his inventory, and a window appeared. "Obtain the skill?"

"Obtain it," Alan said. As soon as he obtained the skill, in his head, he now knows every move of the sword style.

"Let's go," Alan said to Erica.

Alan used the Lotus Formation Style he obtained from the system while practicing with Erica. They practiced for hours.

"Ding! Congrats to host for upgrading sword arts to elementary level." The system announced.

"What a good sword style." Alan thought to himself.

"Alan, your sword style is very weird. It felt so complicated yet so simple. I don't think that this style is well known to the world, this kind of style is very rare." Erica said.

"Well, Erica, I, Alan, will always be rare in whatever he does." Alan chuckled.

"A modest man is sure rare nowadays and you're not!" Erica teased Alan.

Alan smiled, he released his sword and pushed Erica to the ground before he held both of her wrists and they ended up face to face. They were in that awkward position for a while before Alan whispered, "I'm not a man who can control himself either."

Alan released Erica's wrists and said, "Let's go. We're done practicing."

Erica was still on the ground, her face was flushing red.

"Stu…Stupid Alan!" Erica murmured.

How long has it been? This is the first time Erica acted like this ever since she lost Alan thousands of years ago. Alan always had the ways to make her like this.

"Come, let's go, Erica!" Alan called from outside the training room.

Erica quickly stood up and calmed herself down.

"Coming!" Erica smiled while ran outside.

While walking back to the main palace, Alan thought about the novel he once read. In Unity, there are classes that people use to rank their strength. From the weakest, is the mortal class, which is a class majority of people have in this world.

When they get stronger, they will be promoted to from the lowest, class E until the highest class SSS. Each class has three tiers, lower tier, middle tier, and upper tier. Erica is at Class SS, Lower tier. Alan knew she was being easy when practicing with him.

Alan did not know which class he is in with his current strength. He can wield the sword and use magic. Both are quite good. He swiped in the air to open his stats window.

As always, Alan left 5 attribute points for an emergency. "Un. This should be good enough." Alan commented on the attribute points he used for.

Alan and Erica were chatted happily until they arrived at the main palace. They went to the dining room to eat before they decided to end the day.

"Let's head back to our room, it's late already," Alan said.

"Un, let's go." Erica smiled.

They headed back to their room and went to sleep immediately. They practiced in the training room until late at night. They barely know the time when they immersed themselves practicing.

On the next morning, Alan and Erica woke up early as Alan's sisters, Mary and Alice, will arrive at the palace at any moment.

"Erica, you go first to Mother and Father, I have something to do," Alan said.

"Okay, but where are you going? Don't do something reckless." Erica said worriedly.

"Don't worry. I'll be wary of my actions." Alan said while smiling.

Ever since the Hollow forest incident, he knew his life was not only his.

After Erica went to Alan's parents, Alan went to the Hollow Forest again. This time, he did not want

things to be a hassle like what happened yesterday in front of the forest's entrance. So, he sneaked in. Alan's physical ability now is more powerful than a normal human. He just ran pass through the guards swiftly.

Alan's movement was so fast, naked eyes were not able to see him.

"Hmm? Where did this breeze of wind come from?" one of the guards wondered.

In the forest, Alan tried to use magic. He can use any type of magic as long as he had his wand except for his fire magic that he can cast freely as he had his fire essence. The fire essence upgraded his fire magic casting.

After he trained his magic casting for a while, Alan smiled.

"My magic ability is excellent. I can't wait to show off my magic to the world." Alan thought to himself while licking his lips.

Although Alan had trained to be a sword-man and a sorcerer with his parents, in Unity, most people with magic power were common but the one with high magic power was rare. The people with low magic ability will learn other skills such as sword-wielding, bow, guns, and so on.

Using the skills, they will fuse the little magic power they had along with the skills they had learned. Alan was one of the uncommon ones who had no talent in magic at all. He showed interest in magic and trained with his mother only in theory but now, his power in magic was horrifying.

After Alan was done with his training, he went back to the palace. Once he arrived in front of the palace's main gate, he saw a big convoy.

"That's the Flynn's Family convoy. I heard that their master wanted to propose an engagement to one of the two Duke Lukas's daughters." One of the bystanders said.

"What? That trash from Flynn family? I heard that he is a playboy who takes any woman he likes by force. I doubt he can do anything here, that's the Snow family we're talking about." Another bystander said while shaking his head.

"Stupid! That's why he proposing an engagement with the Snow family. This is the only way he can do to get with the Snow family's young mistresses." A woman bystander said coldly.

Alan heard their conversations and quickly entered the main gate. Once he entered, he heard a man talked loudly.

"Duke of Snow family, I, Ron Flynn, from the Flynn family wants to take one of your daughters as my wife. Behind me, the convoy was filled with engagement gifts." Ron said proudly.

Right after Alan walked through the main gate, he saw his parents, sisters, and Erica, who the only one wore a mask. The faces of his sisters were making showed that they did not like Ron at all.

Alan's parents, Lukas and Rose were showing unpleasant faces as well. They did not like Ron too. They heard that this young master from Flynn's family always disturb their two daughters at the academy and they hated it.

"What the hell are you talking about? We did not invite you here, what do you think you're doing?" Mary said coldly.

"What do you mean? I'm here to take one of you as my wife and no one will stop me." Ron said while walking towards Mary and Alice intending to hold their hands.

Before Ron held Alan's sisters' hands, "Ouch! Who the hell, threw that rock at me?" Ron shouted angrily. The rock that was thrown at him was not that hurtful to him as he just been promoted to Class E Upper-tier a few days ago.

"Hahahaha!" a man in the back was laughing so hard. The one who threw the rock and who was laughing was Alan.

"Big brother!" Mary and Alice called Alan together.

"Alan, Son!" Alan's parents also called out.

"Big brother…Son? That crazy boy is your big brother? Do you mean the Snow family's eldest son, Alan Snow? The one went crazy years ago?" Ron took a glance at Alan then looked at Alan's sisters while smirking.

Alan was pretending to be crazy. He laughed so hard like what he thought a crazy person would do.

"You overdid it, Alan." Erica sighed.

"Ahahaha! The son of Snow Family is even crazier than a crazy person. This kind of trash should remain hidden in your palace. This is hilarious! Hahahaha!" Ron said while laughing.

Erica frowned when she heard what that man said about Alan.

"You! How dare you talk bad about big brother!" Mary shouted at Ron.

Lukas and Rose were about to make a move to Ron but stopped when they suddenly felt a killing intent came from behind them. They look behind and saw Alice who was trying to cast ice magic to Ron.

Mary was the smart one and highly regarded as the smartest person in the academy and was predicted to the smartest human in Unity. Before that, that was her brother, Alan, but he was injured and became crazy.

Alice was one of the most promising sorcerers in Unity. She had a very high aptitude in magic especially in ice and all her magic skills were high in offense and very lethal. Now, she was trying to cast her magic on Ron.

"You will pay for that! No one can talk like that about Big brother!" Alice said coldly while her killing intent surged out.

Alice cast out her ice magic. "Ice Javelin!"

"You think that will hit me? Try again!" Ron just stood there while smiling.

Before the ice javelin hits Ron, there was someone stood in front of him, "Disperse!" the man dispelled the magic.

That man was Shaun Cain, one of the strongest seniors in the academy.

"Humph! Your magic is weak." Shaun snorted.

Although Alice was a promising sorcerer, she's still young and a first-year student in the academy. Give her more time, she will be a powerful sorcerer.

Suddenly Ron made a move on Alice, "Take this!" he shouted.

"Alice! Be careful!" Mary shouted.

Alan's parents were on the way blocking the attack but someone appeared in front of them.

Ron was a sword-man. His talent in swords was not bad. He took a strike on Alice but suddenly his sword stopped. He could not move his sword at all.

"You dare to make a move on Alice, my sister," Alan said calmly. He was smiling but the smile was very terrifying. The sword that Ron used to take a strike on Alice was stopped by Alan's bare hand.

"Alan! Big Brother!" Alan's parents and his sisters called out. They were shocked to see Alan in front of them, especially Mary and Alice. They were seeing their brother speaking and acting normal in front of them!

"I was giving you a face by not punching your stupid face in front of these people when you tried to touch my sisters, Mary's and Alice's, hands just now, and this is your way of giving thanks," Alan said while looking at Ron who was in front of him.

Alan was holding the sword in front of his face by only his right hand. "So, what will I do with you now?" Alan said calmly but after a few moments, he smiled and crushed the sword with his hand.

"I guess I'll do the same to you." Alan smiled and said calmly while looking at the broken sword on the ground. Killing intent. The pure killing intent that was far more powerful than what Alice had just now surged out from Alan. It was so powerful that all the people flinched and felt their body was heavy to make any move. The killing intent was so dense that all the people in the Snow family's territory felt it.

Alan walked slowly to Ron and lift him by his neck.

"Shaun! Shaun! Help me!" Ron was so scared. Alan was so strong that he can't escape the grip.

"How dare you! Take this! Wind Strike!" Shaun made a move on Alan.

"Big brother! Be careful!" Alice shouted.

Alan took a glance at the attack and he smiled, "There is one more dog willingly to be butchered, Don't worry about me."

Alan's parents who were about to save Alan stopped after what he said to them. They stopped not because of what Alan had said to them but because they saw that their son looked so calm and confident.

Alan waved his hand to cast fire magic toward Shaun's wind attack. "Burn him." Alan smiled.

The fire that was cast by Alan was too strong. The fire was fused with the Hell's Flame, the wind magic was engulfed by the black fire without giving it a chance to fight at all. After the wind magic was countered, Alan's attack still heading toward Shaun who was stupefied that his magic was countered by Alan.

"Boom!"

Shaun was thrown away by the fire and hit all the convoy behind. All the gifts that Ron brought with him were burning in flame.

"Alan Snow is it?" Shaun was astonished by Alan. He got out of the convoy's debris that he crashed onto and stood on the same spot while smiling dumbly.

"Hot! Hot! It's too hot!" the people in the convoy shouted.

The wind magic attack from Shaun was not weak at all. Alan just used more than half of his mana to counter the attack with his Hell's Flame.

If Shaun was able to dodge the attack just now, Alan would have a problem afterward but luckily the attack caught Shaun completely off guard and was able to damage him.

"I'm still weak." Alan thought to himself.

"Leave. Don't you dare coming back here, or you won't able to leave again." Alan threw Ron from his grip.

"Yes! Yes! I promise not to come back!" Ron cried. Who would want to come back to see this monster in front of him?

Erica was smiling. This is how Alan always does to someone who tries to threaten him or someone precious to him. He will dominate every single one of them. This is Alan, the genius prodigy, the king, the ruler of people.

Alan's parents were too shocked. Their son, Alan, can use magic, a very powerful one too!

"Just now, Alan cast magic without chanting right? I've always known Alan had talent in magic. He is my son after all!" Rose said.

"Our son is a genius! Oh, I forgot, he always had been a genius before." Lukas smiled.

The Flynn family's convoy immediately went out of the palace and headed back to their territory.

After they left, Alan suddenly turned around and smiled, "Mary! Alice! Big brother misses you guys so much!"

Alice ran towards Alan and hugged him, "Big brother! You recovered! I'm sorry I made you injured yourself!" Alice cried.

Alice was the one Alan saved when they were kids that made him injured himself and became crazy.

"What are you talking about? Becoming crazy to save my cute sister? Worth it!" Alan smiled.

"You had enough, Alice! It's my turn!" Mary yelled at Alice.

Mary ran towards Alan and squeezed through between him and Alice. "Now it's my turn!" Mary said while pouting.

Alan hugged both of them, "You guys are so cute!"

"You were so strong big brother!" Alice said excitedly.

"Your big brother is always strong. Why are you so surprised? Hehe." Alan laughed.

"Yes, big brother is always strong!" Mary said happily.

"Let's head back to the main palace," Alan said while hugging his sisters.

The family went back to the main palace happily.
