Alan was standing in front of the huge gate. He could sense a menacing aura coming from the other side of it.
Alan gulped. "What's this feeling? Why do I feel something dangerous is waiting for me there?" he thought.
After he used the key to open the gate, he forced himself and walked into it.
"I'm too far to give up anyway." He shrugged his shoulders.
*Tap *Tap *Tap
Alan walked into the darkness on the other side of the gate. The environment was too different from what he expected. His sight could not be used as normal as most of the surroundings were in total darkness. What he could only see was a dot of light far away from him.
"What is that white dot?" Alan thought as he walked towards it.
After he walked for a while, "The dot is getting bigger, I bet that's the place I need to go." He thought.
"This is taking a lot more time than I thought."
Alan walked for some time now, but the place was still far away. The dot was getting bigger and but it still quite far.
"Little bit of magic should be fine." Alan thought.
He used lightning magic on his body to strengthen it before he boosted forward.
*Boom!
"Hahaha. That's more like it." he laughed.
Not too long after that, Alan arrived at a border between light and darkness and crossed it. Now, his surrounding was white. The darkness was becoming smaller until it became a black dot; the further he walked away.
"What's that?" Alan saw something after he walked for quite some time.
"Someone was sitting on a throne?"
Once Alan near the throne, he saw that the one sitting on the throne was a shadow somehow similar to the ones he met on the fortieth floor, but the aura was different.
The one before Alan seemed powerful and looked more dignified.
"Congratulation on being the first one to conquer the tower." The shadow said.
When Alan heard the shadow's voice, his eyes wide opened.
"You're the owner of the voice that appeared when I completed certain floors." Alan said.
"Correct." The shadow replied.
Alan looked at the shadow who was sitting on the throne.
"Who are you?" he asked.
Like the shadows on the fortieth floor, the shadow on the throne replied: "You're not worthy enough to know."
Alan was looking at the shadow as he was looking in the eyes.
"Then, how can I be considered as worthy?" he asked.
The shadow laughed before he replied, "When you can eliminate a world's existence with a flick of your finger."
Alan smiled before he said. "I see…"
The face behind the shadow was surprised to see Alan's calm manner.
"Now you know that your existence is just like an ant. I bet you feel a little bit shocked." The shadow said.
"No. Not at all. Why should I be shocked?" Alan was confused.
"That many powerful individuals that can destroy you or even your world exists." The shadow said.
"Oh, I knew already. Besides, it's a matter of time." Alan calmly said.
The face behind the shadow frowned.
"Don't be so arrogant, boy. What do you mean by a matter of time?" the shadow asked.
Alan stared at the shadow before he said calmly, "It's a matter of time before I am as powerful as those individuals or maybe even more powerful than they are."
"Your arrogance is what will kill you before you achieve it." the shadow said.
Alan shrugged his shoulders. "I guess."
Today, the shadow thought what Alan said was pure garbage, but what he did not know was that, in the future, Alan, who is still best friends with his arrogance, is the one who will rule them, including him, the shadow. Instead of being disgusted by Alan's arrogance, they will look at him with reverence.
Alan looked at beside the throne. There was a cube hovering in the air.
"Is that the mythical fragment?" he thought.
Alan pointed his finger at the cube and asked, "What's that?"
"This is a mythical fragment." The shadow said while playing with the cube in his hand.
"I knew it." Alan thought. "Can I have the mythical fragment?" He asked.
"Hahahaha!" the shadow laughed before he said stopped after he saw Alan's was being serious.
"Depends, but now you're too weak anyway." The shadow said.
Alan nodded, "After I'm strong enough, can I have it?" he asked.
"Sure, but the fragment chooses its own master. If it chooses you, then even I can't do anything. Like I said just now, you're too weak, there's no way it will choose you as its master." The shadow said.
"Okay then…but what can this mythical fragment do?" Alan asked.
"A fragment is a power that can either save a world or destroy it. The one in front of you is the Spatial mythical fragment." the shadow sternly said.
Alan was staring at the fragment before he looked back at the shadow.
"So, what I need to do on this floor? Do I need to fight you? Let's go. I'm sick of this tower already." Alan casually asked.
"Ahahahaha!" the shadow laughed at Alan's behavior before the shadow replied, "No. There's no test or whatsoever on this floor."
"Hmm? Then, goodbye." Alan turned back to leave the tower.
"Wait." The shadow shook his head.
"What?" Alan looked back. He can't wait to leave this tower.
"I heard that you passed the test on the fortieth floor in flying colors." The shadow said.
"I guess?" Alan was confused. He refused the shadows on that floor, but he did not know that he passed the test with excellent marks.
"Because of that, I will give what they offered on that floor to you, not the actual thing, but similar." The shadow said.
The shadow started chanting in a foreign language towards Alan.
Suddenly, Alan's body was glowing.
"I will bestow you, power." The shadow calmly said.
"Ding! Mana pool has been increased by 10000 permanently. All attributes +5." The system announced.
"I will bestow you, life." The shadow said.
"Ding! Health Point has been increased by 10000 permanently. New Talent: Survive has been obtained."
"I will tell you a secret. There are many ancient relics in Unity that will make you stronger." The shadow said.
"Ancient relics? Interesting…" Alan thought.
After that, Alan secretly opened his stats.

"This Talent?! Am I dreaming right now?" Alan blinked his eyes before he laughed loudly.
"HAHAHAHA!"
The face behind the shadow wryly smiled, "This boy is mad. I hope I made the correct judgment."
The shadow shook his head, then said, "Now, it's my turn to give you a reward."
Alan stopped laughing and stared at the shadow curiously. "He's giving too?" he thought.
"What is your name, boy?" the shadow asked.
"…Alan Snow." Alan calmly replied.
"Snow? Hahahahaha! Interesting!" the shadow seemed happy.
"Why do you look so happy?" Alan asked.
"You don't know about Snow family, don't you?"
"Snow family…One of the family in Unity." Alan said.
The shadow shook his head.
"The Snow family is so much bigger than you ever imagined." The shadow said.
Before Alan can ask more about Snow family, the shadow interrupted,
"Okay, Alan Snow. My reward is inviting you to a clan." The shadow said seriously.
Alan set aside the question about the Snow family for now, "What clan?" he asked.
The shadow became silent for a moment before he replied, "The Divine Clan."
Alan never heard of Divine Clan before in the novel. "I never heard of it," Alan said.
"I know. Unworthy people will never know about Divine Clan in their entire life." The shadow said.
"Do you know what is the purpose of this tower?" the shadow asked.
Alan was smart, so he can capture quickly, "You mean, the purpose is for recruiting?" Alan asked.
"Correct. The Divine Clan has been recruiting for thousands of years."
"So, Alan, do you accept my invitation?" the shadow asked.
"I guess there's no reason for me to say no," Alan thought before he said, "Sure."
The shadow laughed happily, "Then, for now on, you will be the last member of the Divine Clan."
Alan's eyes wide opened, "The last member?" he asked.
"Yes, the Divine Clan will not be recruiting anymore unless any of the members die, but that's very unlikely. Like you, all the members of this clan are genius among geniuses." The shadow said.
"Then, including me, there are how many members?" Alan asked.
"Ten." The shadow said.
"Only ten?" Alan was shocked.
"Yes, all of them were recruited at a young age. For your record, the first member conquered the tower when he was twelve years old, which is several years younger than you. From your bone age, I guess you should be at sixteen or seventeen years old, right?" the shadow asked.
"I'm sixteen." Alan calmly said.
Alan arrived in this world not too long ago. He became this strong only for several months. If the shadow knew about this, he will maybe choked to death.
"Are you one of the members?" Alan asked.
"No, I'm not a direct member of the Divine Clan. All of us in this tower are mere servants." The shadow said.
'A mere servant but already very powerful? I wonder how powerful a direct member of the Divine Clan is.' Alan was stunned.
"Okay, now you're are officially the tenth and the last member of the Divine Clan." The shadow said.
He waved his hand, and he took a strain of Alan's mana as Alan's identity. From this, the members of the clan will recognize Alan as every mana is different. It is similar to fingerprints, where everyone differs from each other.
"Is there anything more?" Alan asked.
"No, you can leave now. I will always be here." The shadow said.
Alan looked at the mythical fragment in front of him.
"I need that fragment." He thought.
Suddenly, the fragment vigorously vibrated as if it was going to explode.
"Hmm? What's happening!?" the shadow was stunned.
*Boom!
The fragment exploded from its cube appearance. Now the fragment was some kind of a strain of light.
"How is this possible? Why did it explode?" the shadow was confused; this was the first time he saw this. Even he was not worthy of the mythical fragment.
The strain of light flew towards Alan, who was watching the scene.
[You will be my master from now on.]
"Hmm? Whose voice was that?" Alan thought before the strain of light entered his body and resided in his soul.
"Ding! You have acquired a Mythical Fragment! Spatial magic acquired." The system announced.
"IMPOSSIBLE!" the shadow was shocked.
