Dream

I tried to sleep but I couldn't. I was still afraid someone was coming after me. After a while I was finally able to close my eyes and fall asleep.

"Lily. Lily. Lily." Came a strange voice. My dream again. I saw my mother, my father. I saw a man with a dark hoodie. This time my dream was more detailed. It felt real. I walked closer to the man in the hoodie but I heard the voice again, "Lily. Lily. Come here Lily." I turned to see who was calling my name. It was mother. I could hear her voice clearly, as if she was right next to me. She was whispering something but I couldn't hear what she was saying. I walked closer to her. Her beautiful long blonde hair. Her blue eyes. The details I've never noticed in this dream before. I kept walking towards her. "Lily. Lily, I need you to-" I woke up again without warning. It was early in the morning so I tried to go back to sleep but I couldn't. What did mother have to say?

I walked out to the living room where James was still sound asleep. School didn't start for another three hours so I went to the kitchen. I found a pen and a paper so I tried to draw what I saw in my dream.

"Lily? What are you doing up so early?"

"I just couldn't sleep last night."

"Ok. I'll go with you to your house so you can grab your bag for school."

James finished getting ready for school and we walked to my house. The door was open. We walked inside and I got my bag but I didn't change. I was afraid of going upstairs. What if they were still there waiting for me?

We walked to the bus and as Ms. Alice said yesterday, teachers would ride the bus with us in the morning. Lucky us, Ms. Alice chose our bus. James and I got on the bus and Ms. Alice took attendance. We had to sit more towards the front since we were a little late. It was strange though. It felt as though someone was looking at me. I got a chill and looked up at the mirror. The bus driver today was different. We made eye contact and I saw his eyes change. I looked away but I could still feel his eyes on me. I slid down on the seat a little so the bus driver couldn't see me.

Ms. Alice took attendance and the bus started to drive off. It was strange though, the bus was going a different way. I looked at James and he didn't seem to notice. I looked at the mirror again and the bus driver still wasn't looking ahead. I slid back down in my seat.

"James," I whispered, "James is the bus driver still looking back here?" James looked in the mirror and didn't see anything. I looked back up and the bus driver hadn't moved. "James are you sure?"

"Yes Lily he's driving. He's looking at the road." James went back to looking out the window.

I had the same bad feeling as yesterday. The same feeling something was wrong. I didn't know what to do so I just sat there hoping my mind was just messing with me. The bus continued to drive the wrong way.
