"Wake up Lily." I heard someone say.
My eyes slowly opened. The light through the window blinded me at first. I sat up and looked around the room wondering what happened. I still felt pain throughout my body. In the chair next to me, James sat quietly reading a book.
"James? What happened? Where are we?" I asked quietly.
"Lily you're ok! Thank goodness you're ok!" He shouted.
"James not so loud my head is pounding."
"Oh, sorry Lily. I'm glad you're ok. We were all worried." He smiled.
"Hey James, what happened to Ms. Alice and the bus driver?" I asked.
"They're alright. They are here in the hospital too."
Night came and James went home. I wasn't allowed to leave the hospital yet because they weren't sure what happened to me. I felt better. My ankle still hurt but I decided to get up and walk around. I looked for Ms. Alice's room and walked in. She was awake, facing the window, so I slowly walked to the couch next to her bed. I wasn't sure whether she would try to hurt me or not.
"Lily? Are you ok?" She asked still facing the window. "I'm ok miss. What happened to you? What was that shadow?" I asked as I sat next to her.
"Lily, you saved me. Thank you. I was attacked, I couldn't fight the darkness that overwhelmed me. Thank you for helping me." She said with tears in her eyes.
I walked back to my room and stood by the window. It was a full moon tonight and the light from the moon brightened my room. I thought about what happened the other day. The voice that spoke to me, was it mother? I left my window open letting the moonlight fill my room. Laying in bed I closed my eyes and fell asleep. By morning, I woke up after having the same dream again. I heard footsteps coming towards my room.
"Thank you doctor." It was James.
He told me I was able to leave the hospital. It was the weekend so he took me to his house since Grandma still wasn't home. He helped me inside and we watched a movie. I fell asleep halfway through the movie after going to bed late last night.
