What now?

I woke up still laying on the couch. I guess James fell asleep too. He was laying next to me still asleep so I got up trying to not wake him up. I went through the front door and sat down on the steps outside. After what happened on the bus, I decided to stay away from school. James said he would skip with me. We decided to visit Ms. Alice today since she's still in the hospital and she might have answers to our questions.

James walked outside and sat next to me. "Are you feeling ok?" He asked. "Yeah. I'm alright. I'm just confused and I don't know what to think anymore. You saw it right? What happened on the bus?"

James looked at me, "The bus driver stood and shouted, but I blanked out. The last thing I remember was a flash of light and you falling."

"James is it alright if we go visit Ms. Alice now? I think she might know how to help me. She might remember what happened and maybe she can help me understand my dreams."

James got up holding his hand out offering to help me up. We walked back inside to eat breakfast before leaving.

Arriving to the hospital, James and I found Ms. Alice's room. We both walked inside and Ms. Alice turned to face us.

"Hello." She said with a soft voice.

"Ms. Alice, do you remember what happened on the bus? The light, what was that? Did I do that?" I asked.

She looked at me, then James. She sat up in bed and patted the side of her bed as if she wanted me to sit next to her. I walked over and sat in the chair next to her bed. She looked at me, but this time her eyes were a beautiful green. I didn't notice the other night when I came to visit her, but she had changed. Her hair was blonde, almost like mother's.

"There is a legend, a legend that speaks of a young girl. A girl with powers unlike any other. She uses her strength to save her people, her loved ones, but-" she paused and looked down. "But?" I asked. She looked back at me as if she was afraid of something, "I-It doesn't matter. You should get home it's getting dark." She smiled.

"Alright, let's go James. Thank you Ms. Alice." I said as I stood up.

"But Lily, she didn't finish. What if she knows more?" He looked at Ms. Alice, and she looked away. "Its ok James, we'll be ok."

We both left the room and as Ms. Alice had told us, it was getting dark. "James we should hurry" I said now knowing what lurks in the dark of night.
