The Flower

I could hear a voice. It was whispering something, but I couldn't understand. The stem brightened even more and the whispering became louder. I wanted to touch the stem, I was in some sort of trance.

"Lily? There you are." James said.

I blinked and the voice disappeared. "Did you hear that?"

"Hear what?" James said.

"Nothing, nevermind."

"We should hurry, we'll miss the sunrise!" He said grabbing my arm.

"Alright." I smiled.

James smiled and off we were. We walked through the town where they were selling many different foods.

"Hey Lily, want to try this one?" James asked.

"Yeah sure!" He handed me the fruit and we continued walking.

We got to the tree and sat down. The wind was still, and the sun began to rise. I didn't really know why we always walked that far to see the sunrise, but I enjoyed my time with James. It was quiet and peaceful. We could sit there for hours.

"Miss Lily? Miss Lily where are you?" Olivia yelled.

"Over here Olivia!"

"Miss Lily there you are, I've been looking everywhere for you. I made breakfast early today, the Queen wishes to see you this afternoon." Olivia said.

"Thank you Olivia." I said.

James and I stood up and walked back towards the castle with Olivia. We walked through the garden and towards the dining hall. Breakfast was sitting on the table and we sat down to eat.
