Hazal

A pale blonde teenager with light blue eyes and a healthy build, who should be around my age walks in my direction... kinda. I'm in a bush, he's walking on the sidewalk. But as he gets closer I see that he looks quite... frustrated? As I try to get a better view he stops right in front of my bush and sniffs the air. Bending his knees, he looms over the bush.

"What are you doing?"

He can't be talking to me right?

Slowly parting the bush with his hands, he says, "You smell like a snake, but not."

I'M OUT.

Humans aren't supposed to be that sensitive. Or is the tribe's info just that outdated!? I immediately darted out and away from the bush as fast as possible, covering a few blocks within seconds, then slither up a tree to hide in.

Shrugging his shoulders, he just walks away with a sigh. So... he doesn't seem to want to hunt me down which is...

As it's passed sundown already, I'm gonna look for a place to spend the night. I get down from the tree and as I'm about to cross the street I hear a screech.

"Oh my god you're beautiful!"

I look over to see a curly haired, brunette with warm ivory skin, looking at me with a strange, infatuated gaze.

"Your scales are like tiny jewels!"

Where have I heard that before?

She starts taking cautious steps towards me.

"Wow! Truly beautiful! May I please touch you!?"

Well... at least she's courteous, as she has a good eye I'll allow it. If she tries anything I can just shift to a Copperhead anyway.

She crouched down and extended her hand, stopping about six inches from my head. Although a good eye, I can't say the same for her intelligence, I'm not the only creature that kill her in minutes from a bite.

"You're not moving, is that a yes?"

Slowly moving forward she gingerly touches the tips of her fingers to my head, trailing down my neck to back and tail, gradually using more force as she sees me not rejecting her warm touch.

"Wow so friendly, were you a pet?"

...

Rude.

As if my kind would ever submit to humans. I moved away from her hand and lifted my head to her eye level.

"I wonder if snakes have intelligence."

I truly believe she's an idiot.

"Well my name's Hazal, do you want to live at my house for now?"
