There’s Good Stuff In The Store!

Even though he really wanted to test the Warrior Slime's power, Chen Bing knew that now was not the time.

When one ends a game at "Homeland", one needs to wait for 24 hours before entering the next game, so he was unable to enter a new game.

Secondly, his Infinite Energy still had 15 minutes left, and he would not be putting it to waste.

After fusing two times, the three low-level pet incubators on Chen Bing were all used up. However, it did not mean that the fusion would end here.

Low-level incubators were sold at the Homeland store. Normally, it would not be guaranteed that it would definitely be sold, but Chen Bing had Rewind Time!

There were still 15 minutes left. Chen Bing still could let the Warrior Slime fuse two more times!

If all went well, the Warrior Slime would turn into Platinum quality, the ultimate pet that had been successfully fused four times and equipped six abilities!

Chen Bing's Homeland store was only Level 1, and there were only five items sold in the store.

Every time the player completed a game, the Homeland store allowed a free refresh. After the free refresh, players could still use 1000 Homeland points to refresh once more.

Chen Bing had completed five games so far, and because he knew that there was a requirement to refresh to upgrade Homeland, Chen Bing used his free refreshes four times on the Homeland store.

The Level 1 store only sold items of limited value, most of them being medications, low-level scrolls, and normal equipment, and those could be purchased with Homeland silver coins or Homeland points.

If he had really good luck, he could get the store to sell the skill book. Chen Bing had Rewind Time on his hands, and he could do it. However, he needed more than ten thousand Homeland points to buy a skill book. After playing five games, his Homeland points reached only 3350 points, so he could not buy one even if it appeared, which was why Chen Bing never decided to do this in the first place.

However, he could still buy low-level incubators even though he could not buy the skill book.

Opening the Magic Box of Fate had used 1000 of his Homeland points, and he still had 2350 Homeland points left. Adding in the free time he had, he could refresh to get at least three low-level incubators.

A Level 1 Homeland store was one of the structures in Homeland, but in reality it had no actual shop lot. If he wanted an actual shop lot in the ruins of Homeland, he would need to upgrade his shop to Level 3 and spend special upgrading materials to be able to do it.

For now, Chen Ping could access the virtual Homeland store through the attributes panel.

"Life Potion (Small)", "Attack Potion (Small)", "Life Potion (Small)", "Torch (Small)", "Scroll of Fireball (Beginner)"

After entering the virtual shop interface, these five items were displayed.

Usually, Level 1 shops gave players items that had some use, but not too much use. The best they could do was low-level land clearing equipment.

Without wasting any time, Chen Bing clicked the "Refresh" option after recording the original point of time.

The five items in the shop immediately changed.

He had hatched countless slimes in less than an hour, and was already too familiar with the appearance of a low-level incubator. After scanning through the options quickly, he could already confirm there was no low-level incubator.

As he was about to use Rewind Time, Chen Bing noticed something, and he froze.

Among the five items, there was a mysterious grey card.

"Item: Free Skill Point Card"

"Type: Special Card, Cannot Be Traded"

"Quality: Rare"

"Usage: 5 Free skill points obtained after using the card"

"Price: 1 Homeland Prestige Points, 10000 Homeland Points"

What!

Free skill points?

Chen Bing was shocked.

He was not unfamiliar with Free skill points. After the tutorial, the players would be entering the actual game world.

After getting to the actual game world, the players would receive Free skill points as a reward.

Players could obtain skills that could be brought back to Homeland, but they could only use Free skill points to upgrade while at Homeland.

For example, if a player learned a new "Healing Skill" at Homeland, he would be a "Beginner" after he finished learning. However, if he had Free skill points, he could upgrade this skill to a "Grand Master Level" or even a "Legendary Master Level", and bring it to other games. This would give the players a starting advantage over others.

If they did not have enough skill points, the players could only bring Beginner Level Healing Skill. Even though they could upgrade it to Grand Master or Legendary Master Level, it would return to Beginner Level when they left the game and returned to Homeland.

There was not much explanation needed for the importance of Free skill points. Most players only got the most basic Free Skill Point reward when clearing a game. As for upgrading skills, one skill point did not upgrade a skill level by one. It highly depended on the particular skills, and more often than not, it required large amounts of Free skill points.

After a duration of players, as the players owned more skills, the need for skill points would be higher.

"I didn't see anyone ever mentioning it in the forums though. Looks like Homeland prestige is needed to be able to get the Free Skill Point Card from the store."

Chen Bing thought about it, and chose Rewind Time.

Free skill points, but Homeland prestige was rarer. He could not pay 10000 Homeland points for it, so he did not need to think too much.

After that, Chen Bing refreshed the Homeland store quite a few times, and nothing special caught his eye. He did not see the Free Skill Point Card again, and he decided that it must be quite a rare item.

After his sixth refresh attempt, a low-level incubator appeared, and Chen Bing instantly spent 1000 Homeland silver coins to buy it.

After he used up all his free refreshes, Chen Bing started to use Homeland points to refresh the store.

It could be that the low-level incubator fetched a low price. It was only his third refresh, and the incubator popped out.

It was as if the Incubator was not hard to obtain, and he still had 1000 Homeland points. Chen Bing refreshed a few more times without hesitation to buy another one.

The incubator still had not appeared after he refreshed the store another six times.

Chen Bing decided to do it three more times. If it still had not appeared, then he would hatch the pets first and come back here if he had any remaining time.

As he was about to move his hand towards the Rewind Time button, he noticed that there was a black potion that he had never seen before.

"Item: Monster Skill Variation Potion (Beginner)"

"Type: Special Potions"

"Quality: Super Rare"

"Able to bring back to Homeland: Yes"

"Usage: When monsters or pets fuse or evolve, there is a 10% chance to mutate 1 or 2 of the pets or monsters' skills"

"Note: Potion from 'Monster Paradise'. Triggers extra side quests when brought in 'Monster Paradise'. Note: The same potion will only be effective once as pets and monsters will develop an immunity towards the potion."

"Price: 1 Homeland Prestige Point"

Skill Variation Potions?

It's something new again!

It was definitely a good thing, and there was only a 10% chance of this happening, and purchasing it required 1 Homeland prestige point.

If not for Rewind Time, Chen Bing would not have considered buying it.

Homeland prestige points seemed like they still had a major impact. To wager on a 10% chance was not something Chen Bing would have done.

However, he had Rewind Time. Chen Bing did not think much, and bought it immediately.

There was no need for other matters for now. Chen Bing wanted to know how Warrior Slime's abilities would change.

With Rewind Time, his success rate would be one hundred out of a hundred. There was no harm in buying, and it could even help the Warrior Slime become even stronger!

"Refresh!"

Infinite Energy still had 14 minutes left. Chen Bing still could fuse two more pets with the Warrior Slime.

He also had the Skill Variation Potions. Chen Bing was curious about how the Warrior Slime would turn out after 14 minutes!

"Homeland Servant: Congratulations! You received 'Thorny Slime!'"

"Pet: Thorny Slime"

"Quality: Tier One, Excellent"

"Level: 1"

"HP: 18"

"Physical Defense: 3"

"Magical Defense: 1"

"Attack: 2-5"

"Skill: Thorny Shield"

"Thorny Shield: A layer of thorns will grow on the Thorny Slime's surface, reducing physical damage received by 20%, and causing a close-ranged reflection of 20% of the total damage caused"

After four minutes, Chen Bing had hatched a pet slime which he really wanted, which was the Thorny Slime.

Thorny Slime's ability could be added to the Warrior Slime, and it would be a perfect fit. Even though Thorny Slime was only of quality Excellent, Chen Bing was content with it and fused it with the Warrior Slime for the third time.

The greyish Thorny Slime was placed in the secondary container.

The blue light shined once again as the fusion process started.

This time, Chen Bing did not use the Skill Variation Potion on the Warrior Slime.

The Skill Variation Potion could cause one to two abilities to be changed. Chen Bing decided to use it after the fourth fusion to achieve maximum efficiency.
