Synopsis

Have you ever wanted to use magic as in Wuxia stories, use martial arts in a Western fantasy game, or create the Destroyer battleship in a game like StoneAge?

“Homeland” is a game that includes all games. Players can access various games through Homeland. While experiencing different kinds of games, players get to obtain rare equipment and skills, and bring these items to other games through Homeland and become the best of the best in that game!

Chen Bing enjoyed Homeland, but it was not long before he realized that there seemed to be a bug inside his body, which caused the game servers to crash and fail.

“Time Rewind?”

As he crashed the game servers for the fifth time, he realized that he is equipped with an overpowered skill!

Raw name: 我的身体有bug Status: 1200 Chapters (Completed) As usual, webnovel summary doesn't do justice to novel. When I first read summary, I almost skipped it due to feeling like fan-fics. Its about a person who somehow gets a bug and breaks balance of game system. Novel is good. Only that when the novel is starting its very abrupt. The novel just starts without giving info who the MC is or where the MC is or MC is bugged or not. Reading about ~10 Chapters you will get the sense of story.

I don’t know who is translating this novel but they are doing a very poor job at it. They forget to delete already translated scripts and when they do translate they mess up the names of things or the flow or the words is butchered. An example would be how the changed Constitution to Physical Strength, and Agility to Agile. They already had strength as an attribute why are they trying to confuse readers with two of the same words for different things. Another example is how when explaining that an item would drop on death they said, “a task item that fell 100% dead and could only be taken away alive” also, do they even play games? It’s a quest item not a task item.

The Translator is the same dude that messed up the Translation for "The Tycoon God of Online Gaming" that was on Trial Reads last week. Hoped he would do better this time, that translation was horrendous. Unfortunately, although it was a bit better, it's still bad. The gaming terms used are all over the place. It is weird since he also does the translation for "The Boss Behind The Game" which I read every day and it's quite fluent. It felt like I wasn't even reading the translation of the same person...

The Grammar is not very good for a translated novel but other than that the story is actually quite promising and even though u may not understand what happens at the start it will get clearer at around 10 chapters.

I haven't read far but honestly the translation is just horrible and makes it unreadable in my opinion. Sometimes I really have no idea what a paragraph is even supposed to mean and the gaming terms are just complete **** (e.g. blood volume instead of HP like wtf). The last chapter i read seemed to be explaining the world background but i understood just about jackshit.

Kinda boring not gonna lie... the translation quality is also kinda bad... like... you can read it... but it feels kinda forced. The book is also boring as all hell... ive read like 20 chapters and all he was doing is like opening lootboxes and that is the content for that chapter... rly boring.

I don’t know where to start. I guess I should with the most pressing issue, the translation. Review from chapter 39, I’m not a fan. Apparently it was translated by the same people/person that translated ‘The Tycoon God of Online Gaming’. But at least there, it was tolerable. I don’t know if it was the quality of translation or the story, but it might be the latter. Ok, the story. The story is kind of everywhere right now and they don’t go much into detail about the main character and his problems. They only do an overview of it before continuing the story and the bad translations don’t help. They mention other parties but never explain who they are as more parties keep appearing. There are maybe 4-6 different groups of people that are mentioned and I only know stuff about like 2 of them. The other ones seem to be foreshadowing or something but they have only been mentioned once or twice before someone else appears. If you read already I’m talking about the guys who aimed to steal the box, the person who has a boss and the guy who set up the evolution thing and may marry the boss, and the wolves. Those are just some of them. The last one, the wolves are kinda acceptable because it was near the end of the 39 chapters and you get to know a little bit but even then, the author tried to hide every single character behind the scenes with a mysterious mist that ruins the story progression because theres too many of them. It’s also really confusing. And to where the story is headed, not really sure. Just join games and get stronger I’m guessing while all this other stuff happens around him. Ok the writing, as in, the way things play out. Not talking about the story but how fights scenes go and interactions are. They are okay. They may have been slightly changed because of the translations but the humor and the way the main character interacts with other characters and NPCs, is meh. The main characters personality is pretty normal. Oh you want to kill me? Hah! I’ll kill you. Spare you? Nah. He has a hint of arrogance, only a hint, and a lot of energy. Like a stereotypical YouTuber. Basically, I don’t like it, not how the writing goes or the way the author is making things play out. There are certainly others who likes this novel, I’m not one of them. Have a good day, peace.

The novel is actually pretty interesting. Just that the translator is trash. The translator is infamous for being bad/lazy but it is still much better mtl. So give it a read.

I'm not impressed. TL quality is at "edited MTL" Level with constant 'Gems' like "blood level" Instead of HP. Story (or the 3/4 that I managed to understand) seems pretty nice so far, but IMO still middle of the pack in "video game" Genre. Get a decent editor to fix the "blood level" Mess and it would be decent 3.8 IMO.

Just a Spade casually dropping by and leaving a review. This started out pretty average but gradually got better. I wouldn't mind if it continued ♠️💚

I can't describe how much I love this. The story doesn't have a great summary and you may get confused at first but the world and the characters grip you. The translation needs work but you ignore it for a chance to be a part of this world.

Translator quality is bad. There was a contradiction in chapter 2 which was due to poor translation. I just can't read anymore. As such i gave 1 star for translation quality and 3 stars for everything else.
