Did Uncle Jin Find Out?

Lin felt someone come behind her and grasp her hand softly. Then, an arm was wrapped around her waist. Shen was hugging her from the back.

"Don't waste your breath on such a lowly person. She already knows that she'll never be able to get her wealth and power back. She's trying to get you angry and ruin your reputation, so she could bring you down with her. I'll deal with this matter myself," Shen said.

The woman sitting on the floor was trembling at the last sentence.

"Please! I'm sorry! I'm sorry! Don't make us even more bankrupt. I won't bother you anymore! I promise! Please spare me and my family!" The woman begged.

"Do you now realize that you shouldn't mess with the wrong people? I pity you, but I believe that you should be taught a lesson, so you won't do it again."

She paused and continued, "Tell your bodyguards to take her out. I don't want to see her face anymore," Tang Lin said coldly as she sat down on her chair.

"Okay," Shen said as he motioned for the men near the door to throw her out. The men grabbed the woman by both arms and led her outside.

"Hold on. I'm going to make a call." He got his phone and walked to an empty space to talk privately.

Lin saw Shen talking with a serious expression to the person on the phone. This was the first time she had seen his "work" face. She wasn't able to catch anything that he was saying.

Shen was telling his assistant to call all of the banks to tell them that they cannot loan the Wu family any money at all. He wanted to make that family be in debt and have nowhere to live. He wouldn't care if they resorted to loan sharks because it would be bad on their part. He had already cancelled all of Lu Group's business deals with the Wu family and that was the reason why their company collapsed.

He walked back to his future wife and said, "Oh! I forgot! I got something to congratulate you for having a successful advertisement shooting."

Shen took the big bouquet from his bodyguard's arms and presented it to Tang Lin.

She was amazed at how much flowers were inside the bouquet.

"Thank you!! You didn't need to. It was just a small advertisement shooting," Lin said as she took the bouquet.

"My fiancée deserves the best. Let's go home. It's already night," Shen said.

"Okay," Lin said as they left the studio.

The people left in the studio had witnessed the whole thing happen from the yelling to the couple flirting with each other. This was big news! The First Young Mistress of the Tang family was the fiancée of the First Young Master of the Lu family. She was able to make the cold-hearted Lu Shen fall in love with her. Also, from what they saw and heard earlier, their boss had a sharp tongue! Their boss and her fiancée were like gods and goddesses condemning Wu Ying to hell.

The couple had drove back to Lin's house and went inside. Tang Lin wanted to talk to Shen about some things, so they went straight to her room when they entered the house.

Once again, they did not see Tang Jin sitting on the couch with earbuds on, watching his Korean dramas. He paused his TV show and looked up to see his niece and Shen holding hands while walking to her room. Lin was holding a big bouquet in her other arm.

'Did they not notice me or something? I didn't even try to hide from them! Am I invisible or something? Are they ignoring me? Wait, are they going to do the deed again?' Tang Jin thought.

In the room, Tang Lin and Shen sat down on the bed. They took off their shoes and got comfortable. Lin put the bouquet aside. Lu Shen took off his tie and put it on her bedside table. He scooted next to Lin and put his arm around her shoulders.

"Hey! What are you doing?! I'm not that close to you yet!" Lin exclaimed as Shen retracted his arm.

"What do you mean? We held hands, called each other fiancée, got engaged, hugged and kissed each other before. But now I can't put my arm around you?! Aren't we more than just close?"

"Most of the things you just listed were when we were kids! Also, the reason why I let you hug me in front of so many people earlier was because I wanted people to see that I have backup. Also, because I saw how Wu Ying looked at you. She looked like she wanted to eat you up! I was just helping you get rid of a pest!" Tang Lin said.

"Yeah, right. You were just getting rid of a love rival. Well, don't worry, sweetie, I won't be with anyone but you!"

Lin scoffed, "Don't say nonsense. I was helping you."

"Whatever. I'm putting my arm around you. No one is going to stop me."

Tang Lin felt smudged when her fiancée suddenly put his arm back around her shoulder. He scooted even closer to her and held her hand with his available hand.

"Oh! I forgot to tell you something!"

"What?" Shen asked as he stroked her palm.

"Uncle Jin lives with me!!"

"Really? Did he see us?" he said calmly.

"I don't know! You were the one who carried me to my room yesterday! Did you see him?"

"I didn't look around me. I just took you up the stairs and walked down without you when I was leaving," Shen explained.

"Oh shoot. Did you see him when we came up right now?"

"No. I didn't look around."

Tang Lin realized something and said, "Oh wait! He told me that he had an appointment to go to with his friend and he wouldn't be back until later. He went yesterday and he should be going today. We should be fine!"

"Okay."

Tang Lin reached to get her phone from her bedside table, but instead, her hand slid across the sharp corner and a cut appeared on her hand.

"Sh*t," she cursed as blood dripped out of the wound and onto her other hand.

"Are you okay? Where's the first aid kit?" Shen said worriedly.

"It's in the kitchen. Let's go downstairs."

The couple went down the stairs and passed the living room, not noticing their uncle sitting on the couch staring at them.

Tang Lin sat on the chair in the dining room as Shen went to the kitchen to find the first aid kit.

"It's in the top left cabinet."

Shen followed her instructions and brought the kit to the table. He took out the alcohol and the large bandage.

As he cleaned the wound, Tang Lin remembered the childhood days when she would trip and he would always treat her wounds for her.

He noticed the intense stare coming from his fiancée and said, "I know I'm very handsome, but I feel a little uncomfortable with you staring at my face like that."

"Shut up, narcissist. I'm just reminiscing about our childhood days when you would treat my wounds."

"Of course. A husband needs to treat his wife's wounds. Remember when I treated your wound and you proposed to me because you wanted me to be your husband and treat your wounds whenever you fell," he teased.

"I will say it again. I WAS A KID!! I didn't know that the boy I proposed to was a conceited narcissist! I fell for the boy's kind actions, like treating my wounds, and I'm now his fiancée."

"Yep. You fell for my trap. Now, you gotta suffer the consequences," he said as he bandaged the wound.

Tang Jin cringed at their conversation.
